Tangled Temptations

The phone call came just as Harvey and Eloise had finished.

Eloise felt exhausted, but Harvey was still full of energy, teasing her gently with his arms around her waist.

Eloise couldn't help but bite her lip. "Stop it. I want to take a bath!"

Harvey was very considerate. He whispered in her ear, "I'll prepare your bath."

Eloise's ears were lightly pink, with a little fluff on them, utterly adorable. Harvey couldn't resist reaching out to touch them gently.

Eloise pulled the blanket over her face, not letting him touch it.

"Feeling shy? Wasn't it you who wouldn't let go of me just now?" Harvey picked her up and wrestled her out of the blanket.

He was going to tease her again.

"I don't feel well, let me take a bath," Eloise whispered.

Harvey chuckled, "Why are you so scared now?" He brushed her sweaty hair

aside, kissed her forehead, and got up to leave.

Harvey was muscular, but Eloise dared not look.

The sound of running water came from the bathroom.

About five minutes later, Harvey came back to the bedroom to pick up Eloise, who

Harvey didn't force her.

While she soaked in the tub, he took a quick shower.

Back in the bedroom, Harvey lit a cigarette leisurely, inhaling and exhaling slowly.

The recent case was almost settled, and he started to relax.

Then, the phone on the bedside table rang.

Harvey frowned. Who would call him at this hour?

He held the cigarette to his lips, and answered the phone, his voice a bit muffled, "This is Harvey."

On the other end was Officer Ferris.

Officer Ferris chirped, "Attorney, you're still awake. My apologies for disturbing you. We have a dispute involving Max. Can you come over?"

Max?

Harvey exhaled a puff of smoke. His tone was icy, "You know you're disturbing me, and yet you're asking me to come over? I'm not Max's guardian!"

Officer Ferris carefully replied, "Mr. Velona had a brawl at the club. If you don't come, should we ask Ms. Horigan to handle this?"

Harvey snorted. He continued to smoke leisurely, looking handsome as his cheeks hollowed out with each drag.

Officer Ferris wasn't sure about his attitude. He waited on the other end of the line, not daring to rush him.

After a while, Harvey suddenly laughed, "Did Mr. Velona ask for me?"

Officer Ferris was taken aback. Oh my God! He was right! But he couldn't interfere in their private affairs, so he just chuckled.

"Fine, I'll be there in a bit."

Harvey hung up, changed into a fresh set of clothes, and knocked on the bathroom door, "I'm going out to handle some stuff. get some sleep; don't wait

up."

Eloise felt a bit disappointed. Was he leaving tonight?

Harvey could guess that she would be upset. He squatted down by the bathtub and reached in. Eloise blushed and grabbed his arm, not letting him mess around.

"It's work! I'll be back soon." His voice sounded a bit hoarse.

Eloise didn't want him to leave. She wrapped her arms around his neck and boldly kissed him.

Harvey kissed her for a moment, then bent down to kiss her red lips, whispering, "Just got changed into clean clothes, and you've got me wet again."

Eloise was immediately shy.

With his mood lifted, Harvey straightened up his clothes and headed out.

He arrived at the police station.

Officer Ferris welcomed him with great pleasure, greeting warmly, "Attorney, sorry

to trouble you, getting out of bed at this hour."

He gave a thumbs up, "It's already 2 a.m. young folks sure have energy."
