Andre had a restless night, got up early, and, skipping breakfast, headed straight to the office. It was strange how he had lived alone in Maplewood Estates for over a decade and was used to solitude. Even on business trips, staying in hotels by himself never bothered him.

But now, with his wife and son away, home felt off. Something was missing, and it gnawed at him.

The house was eerily quiet, lacking the buzz and warmth of family life.

Noah, catching on to his boss's mood, asked, "Boss, what's the Mrs. up to these days?"

"She went abroad with my brother-in-law and took Henry along."

Noah nodded, understanding why his boss seemed so out of it. Family was what kept the fire burning.

As soon as Mia's plane touched down, before she could call, her husband's call came through. "Landed already? I've arranged for someone to pick you up, booked the hotel, and even found a translator in case you need one..."

Mia's voice turned sweet. "I know, honey."

"Are you tired?" Andre asked, concerned.

Mia shook her head with a smile, "Not really. I slept most of the way. Cooper took care of our son. It's still the middle of the night here."

"And our little troublemaker?" Andre asked.

"He's still waking up."

Andre chuckled softly. As they chatted during the drive, Mia reassured him, "We're on our way to the hotel now."

Henry woke up as soon as they arrived at the hotel. Seeing people who looked different from him made him cling tightly to his mom, feeling a bit unsure.

Cooper's bachelor pad wasn't ideal for his sister and nephew, so he stayed at the hotel too.

In the afternoon, Henry had a video call with his dad, chatting for a good half-hour.

Leo liked to keep tabs on his two younger brothers. While watching a romantic drama with Anya, he couldn't quite get into the romance, so he had one arm around his girlfriend and the other checking on his brothers via his phone.
