Chapter 1608
"If you can deliver, I promise you won't regret it."
Yvenne chuckled coldly, downing her espresso in one go, not a drop left. She crossed her arms and said with a smirk, "I don't know you, but it's clear you don't have much depth. Your clothes are all cheap knock-offs, but this espresso is decent-bitter at first, but with a sweet finish. By meeting you today, I've already done you a favor. Not just anyone can associate with someone of my current standing. If you've really got the chops, come buy out my work at the designer competition. Goodbye, old lady."noveldrama
Nash's mom had never been treated like this, let alone called an old lady. Was she really that old?
Despite being fuming, she kept her composure and left the café, instructing someone to dig into Yvenne's background.
The investigation results came back quickly. Looking over the details, she asked, a bit unsure, "Is she in the same class as Fiona?"
After thinking it over, she decided to have a chat with Nash.
At school, Fiona was just about to catch some shut-eye when Nash suddenly walked over, grabbed her arm, and hauled her off.
"Nash, what's gotten into you?"
Before she could resist, Fiona found herself dragged to a corner by the stairs, while the rest of the class buzzed with gossip, eager to witness the drama.
"Wow, Nash is really gutsy!"
"Nash is the man, going straight for what he wants!"
"Nash's moves are something, but won't Mr. Jackson be mad?"
"Come on, Mr. Jackson's not gonna hear about this."
Hearing the chatter, Yvenne quietly slipped out of the classroom and headed to the teacher's office.
Fiona shook off Nash's grip. Nash wasn't usually unreasonable, so she asked, "What's going on? What happened?"
"My mom went to see Yvenne and got all worked up. She thinks Yvenne's the high school student

maybe the one who swiped your designs. She wants me to keep tabs on her." Nash eyed Fiona closely, narrowing his gaze. "When did you start designing?"
"I didn't. It's a friend of mine," Fiona replied matter-of-factly. "Did she really give your mom a hard time?"
Fiona found it hard to believe, knowing Nash's mom wasn't one to take things lying down.
Nash soon filled her in on everything, including Yvenne's rude behavior, which caught Fiona off guard.
"Got it. I'm tired, heading back to sleep."
Just then, Keaton walked in with Yvenne and saw Nash and Fiona together. He took a deep breath and said, "You're students, focus on your studies."
"What did we do?" Nash asked with a frown.
Keaton sighed, not wanting to spell it out. Why did Nash have to be so curious?
Fiona didn't even glance their way and returned to her seat, casually forwarding a file to an unknown email on her phone.
At the same time, Fiona got a message from the director of St. Mary's Hospital. There was an urgent situation, and her sleepiness vanished. With a long sigh, she grabbed her backpack and headed out. sŵnovel
She hopped in a cab to St. Mary's Hospital, where a crowd was gathered at the entrance, making it tough to get in. Even the security guards couldn't budge the crowd enough to get two emergency stretchers through.
