Chapter 1739
Chapter 1739:
“You…”
Michael, his face crimson with rage, pointed at Ulises and yelled, “Do you have any idea who my father is?”
“Ulises, release Michael this instant! Or Michael’s father will not let this go unpunished!” Hazel exclaimed anxiously from the side.
“Continue until you feel satisfied,” Harlee instructed Ulises with a smirk, approaching Michael.
Harlee then turned her attention to Michael, speaking in a voice so calm it bordered on dismissive.
“Go and inform your father that Harlee of the Sanderson family in Baythorn is responsible for this. He should know his real enemy.”
At the mention of “the Sanderson family in Baythorn,” Michael’s complexion turned pale. He was finished. He was entirely done for. He had actually angered a member of the Sanderson family from Baythorn. When his father found out, a severe punishment seemed inevitable.
Zora turned ashen. Recalling her father’s troubled expression the previous night, she finally realized why. She regarded Harlee with a newfound sense of dread.
Hazel, unfamiliar with the Sandersons of Baythorn, felt a wave of fear upon seeing Michael’s terrified reaction. How could she possibly challenge someone even Michael feared?
The Swain siblings were equally taken aback. Unaware of the Sandersons’ prominence, they hadn’t realized that Harlee’s status was even more elevated than when she had been with the Gill family. No wonder Nyomi wasn’t concerned for Harlee—Harlee was clearly faring well!
Wanting to avoid further trouble for Harlee, Ulises ceased his assault after merely a dozen minutes.

“Are you done hitting him?” Harlee asked casually.
Ulises nodded.
Harlee gave the people on the sports field a casual glance, satisfied that her presence had made an impact. She then took out her phone and transferred five million to Oakley. Giving Oakley’s shoulder a light pat, she said, “You did well.”
Oakley’s expression was one of striking gold.
“Is… Is this truly all for me?” she stammered, incredulous.noveldrama
Harlee wasn’t one for idle chatter and remained silent, yet her expressive eyes said it all.
“Next time someone gives you trouble, call me,” Harlee said, and then left without a backward glance.
Exiting Winbrough University, Harlee hesitated for a moment when she spotted Rhys’ car at the gate. Then, she opened the door and climbed inside.
Virginia and Ulises hurried after Harlee but only caught a glimpse of her entering a luxurious vehicle before it sped away.
“Ulises…”
Virginia gazed longingly in the direction Harlee had disappeared, her eyes brimming with tears.
Ulises placed a comforting hand on her shoulder, staying silent as he too was still processing the events. Yet, before they left, he finally said, “Let’s focus on finishing lessons first.”
At the revelation that Harlee hailed from the Sanderson family of Baythorn, Ulises finally began to grasp why Nyomi had kept Harlee’s true status hidden. It was simply out of their league.
Inside the car, Rhys caught a glimpse of the Swain siblings at the school gate through the rearview mirror, a sly grin playing on his lips, his tone detached and cold.
“Are those Nyomi’s grandchildren?”
Harlee turned to look at Rhys, who was driving, but didn’t answer. Instead, she asked, “Why are you here?”
“I was free this afternoon, so I decided to come over,” Rhys responded casually.
