The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha

"What are you saying?"

"I can't miss out on the ceremony"

"So In essence what are you implying"

"That I want to be part of the ceremony"

Adam chuckles, unable to form the right words. He gazes at Alexandra, observing her intently trying to figure out what was running through her head. Alexandra's eyes soften and tears crowd her eyes.

"Please Adam, I want to take part in the Alpha Election ceremony"

"I don't know what to say"

"Say something. Anything" she whispers, holding the urge to roll her eyes.

"I honestly don't know what to say, Alexandra"

"Are you mad at me?"

Staring at her, Adam couldn't be mad, although he was boiling with anger, he couldn't express his anger towards her.

"You didn't seem interested the other day we spoke"

"You didn't ask me, Adam, you only stated I give up my right"

"But you don't want to" He whispers

"What would people say?"

"You care about what people say"

"No, but as I told you that I don't create room for gossip"

"What are you saying?"

"If I sit this one out, people will begin to whisper and question my origin. It will be humiliating to me"

"It won't since you would be my Luna"

"I can still be your Luna even if I join the ceremony" Alexandra manages to say, dreading the word Luna for Adam has made her dislike that word. In the past, it use to be something she was proud of, the mere mention of it would send butterflies crawling up in her stomach but now it sent nothing but emptiness and at that moment, Alexandra wasn't sure she was ever going to fall in love with that word ever again for it inflicted scars on her body.

"What do you mean?"

"You are Adam Hawthorn and I will always see you as the Alpha"

"Okay and so?"

"Let me partake in the ceremony, I would lose to you, Adam. There is no how I can defeat you"

"What are you saying, Alexandra?"

"I will lose to you at the Alpha election ceremony"

Adam's eyes widened. "You would do that for me"

"Yes Adam"

As a sudden strange feeling engulfs him, his adrenaline rushes up and Adam angrily stresses. "I don't need you to give up Alexandra. Isn't that so petty?"

"Of course not it isn't Adam"

"I can't beat you"

"Do not give up Alexandra"

Lowering her voice, her eyes soften even further. "No Adams, I don't want to be your enemy"

Roaming his eyes up and down her body, Adam realizes Alexandra was a delicate flower and her eyes were bearing the truth.

"Please let me do this Adam, you were meant to be Alpha" she states sounding like a flower.

"Are you hungry?"

"No"

"Are you certain? You look pale"

"I'm fine Adam. Have you given it a thought?"

"I don't want you to give up"

"I'm not, just making sure you become the Alpha and no one else"

"That doesn't mean you have to give up"

"You wanted me to stay away from the ceremony. What's the difference?"

"This is much better, we will be able to deceive our pack members while still winning the seat"

"Alexandra" he whispers "You are too delicate, I don't want to hurt you"

"And I don't want to be your enemy too. I love how we are"

"Then you will become my Luna as well"

"Your Luna?" She asks, forgetting about his offer earlier"

"Yes, or have you forgotten?"

"Of course not, being the Alpha's Luna is the best gift"

Gently placing his hands on her shoulders, he gazes into her soft eyes and she

gazes back, her eyes filled with a lot of emotions.

"Are you sure you want to do this?"

"Why? Don't you want me to?"

"Won't it be too much on you"

"It won't, what matters is that we don't become enemies"

"Are you scared"

Alexandra nods affirmatively causing him to smile.

"Oh you are a delicate flower, do not be scared. I wonder how scared you are when those mobs attacked you. Wish I was there"

"Don't bring them up please, I was really scared" Alexandra states smiling inwardly, wondering how she does it all the time and yet he couldn't see right through her. She was such a good actress and also she knew her prey so she knows how to hunt them out and make them dance to her beat. It was fun to watch and Alexandra found it amusing.

"I'm sorry but are you sure you can handle that day?"

"Yes"

"Won't you be scared?"

"You are next to me trying to become the Alpha so I won't be scared"noveldrama

"What if I hit you"

"I heal quickly Adam so don't worry everything will be fine besides I'm rooting for

you so please just say yes and let's drop this"

He runs his hand through his hair.

"I don't know Alexandra"

"You just have to say yes and it will all be fine"

"You are so delicate and I'm scared. Truly don't want you to give up. I want you to

fight"

"I will only humiliate myself since I can't beat you and I want to be your friend and not your foe"

"You will never be my foe, Alexandra"

"Then say yes"

"Alright, let's do it your way"

"Thanks" Glancing over at her wrist watch, Alexandra smiles, seeing it was

already noon.

"Is getting late, I better get home and get out of these"

"Of course"

"I will see you around"

"And you too"

"Goodbye Adam"

As Alexandra walks away, Adam stares at her till she is out of sight, deep down he

had only dropped the argument since she was delicate, running a hand through

his hair. He glances at the bright sky.

"So beautiful" he whispers walking
