The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha

The dawn of the day sends dusty wind across the city, pulling off roofs and

damaging the city, the sky darkens sending down light rain for an hour, trapping everyone in their domicile until the sky brightens and the roads become dry once again.

Shuffling her feet against fallen leaves, Alexandra jogs through the forest, jogging past furrowed oak trees to her usual spot halts, stretching her slim body exercising, she reclines to the heavy stone, her breathing synthetic.

Hearing voices coming from every corner, she smiles loving how this wood was popular with tourists and how werewolves in the Guerrero pack try to keep their identity hidden in order not to scare off humans.

Seeing tourists walk past her further into the woods, Alexandra waves at them. While some take a walk in the woods, others would camp late in the woods and no werewolf would hurt them. Realizing how the werewolf in her pack has been trained, she widens her smile, hoping to continue that legacy someday as the Alpha.

"Are you lost, My lady?"

Hearing the familiar voice sound in her ear, Alexandra quickly turns around bumping into Adam, almost falling to the ground but he holds her.

"Thank you" she whispers, breaking away from him

"You look unfazed"

"Is a popular place in the city"

"True but won't you ask questions, interrogate me about what I'm doing here"

Breathing in deeply, Alexandra stares into his eyes, uncertain of what he was implying.

"I have no idea what you are talking about"

"You know what you use to do in the past"

"That's the past. Is that what you called it?"

"Yes" he tries to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear but Alexandra quickly takes a step backward.

"Don't do that please"

Dumbfounded, Adam gawks at her.

"We are outside, I don't want to create room for gossip"

He frowns already aware of what she was trying to say.

"Are you trying to annoy me?"

"No" she reclines back to the stone and Adam runs his hand across his face. "Why would I want to do that?"

"I don't know, I try to touch you but you step back and now you are bringing up the past"

"Why would you want to touch me?"

Adam scoffs. "The other day -"

"I came to you for you to help since I had no one to talk to. I didn't tell you the touch me"

"I'm not trying to do anything Alexandra, just trying to tuck the strand of hair behind your ear"

Alexandra exrowingand and her eyes grow soft. "I know Adam but then what I hate is gossip and you know how our pack members are. They love to spread rumors"

"And you choose to listen"

"I don't listen, I just don't create room for gossip"

"You listen Alexandra" He states aloud

"When did I?"

"The other time with Olivia, you told me about the rumors"

"Do you really think it's just rumors?"

"People saw you Unethically meeting together, should I continue?"

"You are unbearable sometimes, it drives me crazy because I don't know what you want"

"Why do you still come back?" She shoots sharply causing Adams's eyes to widen.

"Why do you still come back if I am unbearable? Why do you want to make me your Luna if I am unbearable? A lot of girls will do better as your Luna"

Staring deep into her eyes, he states. "You are better than a lot of girls"

"Are you just flattering me or do you need something?"

"You sound as though I come to you to use you"

"Didn't you tell me to give up my position"

Adam runs his hand through his hair frustrated. "I did that for us"

Alexandra smiles. "Right us" Gazing at the trees as they brush against each other, the bird chimps as they fly up accompanied by a whistling wind. Her smile widens.

"What are you looking at?"

"Do you know why I love the trees?"

"Why?"

"At least they know how to tell the truth unlike humans, who are full of lies and failed promises"

"What are you saying?"

"A lot"

"I'm not understanding you, Alexandra"

She inhales the warm breeze as it hugs her delicate skin. "So refreshing"

"What is?"

"The breeze" she looks into his eyes. "The Alpha ceremony is days from today.

"Yes I'm anxious"

"Of what? You are already a strong candidate"

"Really? You think so"

"You are Adam Hawthorn, from the prestigious family. Do you undermine yourself?"

"No, I don't"

"You have all figured it out don't you?" She asks, mockingly but Adam wouldn't

notice, he was blinded by his desire to become the Alpha.

"Yes I do but you know what else makes me happy" He sits next to her.

"What makes you happy?"

"Come on guess, Alexandra"

"No, I suck at guessing"

"Come on just try it"

"Please don't make me do it, I suck at it" She states holding the urge to roll her eyes.

"Having you as my Luna, I can't imagine what we will do. How we will turn this pack into something that we both desire. The Guerrero pack is something I have always wanted to belong to me"

"Is a pack filled with werewolves, it doesn't belong to you or anyone"

"You know what I mean Alexandra"

"Yes I do, of course, I do" she chuckled. "You want to be Alpha don't you?"

"Of course, I want to, is a dream come true. I want to see people address me as Alpha Adams when I walk past, want to ooze of power and be admired even more"

"Big dreams"

"That can only be achieved with you by my side. You have to be by my side"

"I must be important" she states sarcasticallynoveldrama

"You are always important"

"Really?". She smiles. "There is just one problem" Leaning closer she whispers.

"What is it?"

"I don't think I can miss out on the ceremony" she states, causing Adams's eyes to

widen.
