The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha

As Alexandra's words ring in his ears, Adams's eyes widened.

"What?"

"I said I was attacked, Adam"

Adam runs his hand through his hair, enraged. The thought of Alexandra getting attacked on her way home didn't cross his mind since she was always at home and had no business going to the council.

"Are you okay?"

"No" she whispers, tcrawlingcrawl up her eyes.

"Where did it happen?"

"Around the corner, it was really scary Adam, I'm so scared" she states, pinching her arm, holding the urge to roll her eyes.

She was such a drama queen who knows how to crawl her way into Adams's heart, at least this side of her could do without having to blink an eye.

"Did they hurt you?"

"A little, is not painful" she runs her hand through her hair, without a doubt that Olivia was the mastermind behind the mob who had attacked her and without a second thought, she was the reason why she couldn't get to her mother's clan, not that she had in mind to go.

"Are you sure we shouldn't go to the pack doctor or another doctor"

"I'm alright, just want you to be here with me"

"What did they do to you?"

"It was so scary, they attacked me, I couldn't fight them off, they were so big"

"Can you recognize any of them?"

"Can you forget the face of the rogues who attacked you?"

"Of course not, if I happen to see them again, I would tear them limb from limb" He states mly, his eyes dark ning causing Alexandra to swallow the lump in her throat, if one thing, she is aware that he hates is to fail nor lose to anyone and so for the fact that those rogues humiliated him. He would surely avenge them if they happen to cross paths in the future.

"That's how I can't forget them, Adam, I can never forget them"

"Do they look like they are from this city?"

"Yes"

"Are they werewolves?"

"No, they are not"

"Are you certain?".

"Yes, I know a wolf when I see one"

"Of course, who do you think they are then?"

"Mob"

Adams stiffened and his eyes widened. Grabbing the glass of water, his hand trembles against the glass cup, and he gulps down the water.

"What did you just say?"

"Mob. Those men were mobs"

"Are you certain?"

"Yes Adam, I know mobs when I see them. They had tattoos, one had a tattoo of

an eagle under his left eye with a word spelled 'sparrow' right under it"

Choking on his drink, Adams cough, and Alexandra smiles but Adams didn't see this.

"Are you alright?"

"Yea, of course, I am"

"Are you sure?"

"Of course Alexandra"

"Who did you say attacked you again?"

"Mobs, mobsters"

Hearing those lines the second time, Adams clenches his jaw without a doubt that Olivia was behind the attacked on Alexandra and she had hired his men to do the dirty work for her, something he hated.noveldrama

"How dare you, Olivia? He thinks to himself, enraged.

Adam had trusted her, letting her into his life, but what he didn't expect is for her to make decisions without telling him. Feeling his adrenaline rush up, Adam molds his fist, Olivia bites more than she can swallow and this time he wasn't going to let her off the hook so easily. He had forgiven her when she had turned up at the woods the other day, ruining his plan of meeting Alexandra and nearly exposing their secret to the pack. Although he was aware of the rumors, Adam thought a lot of people didn't believe it since they knew he has his mind fixed on just becoming the Alpha.

"Are you alright Adam?" Alexandra feigns to be concerned seeing the look in his eyes

"Yes I am"

"Are you sure? You look pale as if you have seen a ghost

Adam laughs. "Please don't be ridiculous, there are no such things as ghosts"

"I know about werewolves but you look as though you've seen one"

"I'm just worried, pissed off"

"About what?"

"About everything, I hate the fact that those mobs attacked you"

"You don't have to worry, I'm alright now"

"Are you sure?"

"Yes I am, It was scary at first and I thought this was the end for me" she trembles

"Don't worry, I'm here alright, I won't let anything happen to you Alexandra, promise you that"

"Really?"

"Of course, you are dear to me and would soon be my Luna so if anything happens to me, I would die"

Alexandra takes a sip of her drink, imagining throwing a hard punch in his face for trying to make a fool of her once again. Staring at Adam, Alexandra wonders what she had seen in him in the first place, he wasn't her mate and wasn't her type yet she wanted to give it all for him even though he wasn't worth it. Looking back, she couldn't be happier that Nathaniel was right by her side and was truly her mate, although they had a lot to work out, she wanted him to be her mate forever even though she can not tell him, at least not when the Alpha ceremony was around the corner and she was hoping to attend. Although she had kept this away from Nathaniel for fear that he would not be pleased.

"Your Luna" she whispers

"Yes and I will always care about you so don't worry because I will find out who those 15 mobs are" He blurts the latter

Staring in silence, Alexandra had not expected him to utter such a word since she was aware that he already knew who the mastermind was.

"Find out who those mobs are?"

"Yes, don't you want that?"

"I do but how are you going to find that out? Do you already know who might have attacked me?"

Realizing himself, Adam stiffens, staring at her in silence, unsure of what to say.
