The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 869

Siren responded, "I'll make sure to get the job done."

Anisha suddenly thought of something. Besides avenging Allen and Karina, she had another mission because she was the leader of Springflower.

She had to get her hands on Vital Restorative Remedies, but that wasn't the only book. As far as she knew, Matthew might have other medical books in his possession.

Thinking about this, Anisha had a change of heart. "If you can pull it off, grab the medical books before taking his life."

Upon reading the message, Anisha agreed right away, "As soon as Matthew's under my control, he won't refuse anything I want. Getting the medical books will be a walk in the park."

After wrapping up the chat, Anisha put away her phone and zoned out.

She had a lot on her mind. For the first time, she really thought the ancestors of the Fields family had great foresight. The strategy of taking down enemies using women was genius.

Even someone as skilled as Matthew could be eliminated by a defenseless woman. No wonder Eastoria won the war 200 years ago.

Anisha believed that if war broke out, Eastoria would emerge victorious again. All they needed was Springflower to get behind enemy lines to take out the key targets and gather intel.

A car drove into Silverbrook Village and started slowing down.

Matthew always had this habit of slowing down when he drove into the village. There were often kids playing and pets running everywhere. As he slowed down his car like he always did, his mind would start to relax as well.

Things were off that day. Matthew couldn't shake the feeling of being restless with the urge to sleep with a woman.

He had spent over an hour in the office with Rachel that day, so he should have spent all his pent-up energy on her. He shouldn't be feeling like this.noveldrama

The image of the woman throwing herself into his arms flashed in his mind. The scent of her lingered in his nose.

Matthew's eyes suddenly lit up. He realized that the smell had an aphrodisiac effect.

He thought about how she had pressed her voluptuous chest firmly against him. It almost felt like she had done it on purpose.

The more he thought about it, the more he felt something was off with her. Then, he remembered she was going to pay him tomorrow, and he couldn't help but look forward to it.

As the sun rose in the east, it was a brand new day. Even though it was still morning, the sun was already blinding.

The mountain breeze from the south brought a coldness that swept away yesterday's heat. The wind hit Matthew's face, and it was so cool and refreshing. He instantly felt much more awake.

Lillian's voice came from the kitchen. "It's time to eat breakfast, Matt."

"Okay! I'm coming," Matthew responded. He walked into the kitchen and helped Lillian serve the dishes.

It was a simple breakfast with

scrambled eggs, cereal, bacon, and pancakes. After the dishes were set on the table in the yard, Matthew started having breakfast with his family.

Lorraine started with the cereal mixed with milk. She asked, "Are we running late, Dad? The sun's already pretty high."

Lately, Lorraine kept feeling like she was about to be late. She mainly determined the time by how high the sun was.

Matthew glanced at his phone. "We need to show up at the kindergarten at 8:00 am. It's 7:10 am now, so we still have 50 minutes to go. Relax and eat at your own pace."

Lorraine hummed in

acknowledgment. She cracked the hard-boiled egg on the table before slowly peeling the shell off. After she was done peeling the egg, she looked up at the sun again. "Is it almost time, Dad?"

Matthew checked the time again. "We still have 47 minutes."

With a puzzled look, Lorraine looked at the rising sun, feeling like it should be time

for school since the sun was already this high.

After eating the egg, Lorraine turned to Matthew again and called out, "Dad."
