Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 1255

Asher had just finished teasing his buddy when he noticed the new little bundle of cuteness and immediately reached out, "Let me have a go at holding him. I haven't had the pleasure of cuddling my sister's little dragon yet."

Conner, with a smug look, boasted, "Oh, please, you all act like you've never seen a baby before. I've already held him, and we're basically best buds."

Conner reached out, "Come here, little dragon, let your uncle have a turn."

Wayne, who had already been sulking in Mars's arms, tensed up even more and looked ready to cry when Asher took him. But the moment he was in Conner's arms, Wayne's rare tears flowed, and he let out a loud wail.

Mars quipped, "Conner, is this what you call being best buds?"

Conner replied, "...It's our special way of saying hello."

Asher joked, "You're not just shameless; you produce it in bulk. Maybe you should switch careers and sell it. You'd definitely put the Johnsons out of business."

After mingling with everyone, Henry dashed off to find his little cousin.

Stubborn as ever, Henry insisted on holding his little brother himself, and amid the indulgent godfathers who actually handed Wayne over to him, he ended up sprawled on the floor with his brother, prompting all the adults chatting on the Maplewood Estates sofas to get up and check on the two crying tots.

Time slipped away as everyone chatted until the butler called them to dinner, and they all headed to the dining room.

The dining room had been decked out earlier, and when everyone entered, they were greeted by the childlike decor. Anya pointed, "Wow, look at that!" She was influenced by Henry, "And there's Booba's little cabin!"

The place was done up in Henry's favorite "Boonie Bears" theme, with each chair representing a character from the cartoon. Anya quickly picked her spot.

While she was busy choosing her seat and everyone else admired the decorations, the lights suddenly dimmed. Andre, who had been missing for a bit, slowly appeared, pushing a small cart.

"Mia prompted, "Henry, look at what Daddy's doing," holding her son's hand.

Henry, also in the middle of picking a spot, turned around, "Daddy?"

Andre smiled, holding a cake and crouching to his son's level, "Happy birthday, champ."noveldrama

Henry's birthday cake was revealed, topped with a cute little dragon that looked a lot like mischievous Henry, surrounded by green grass, chocolate trees and flowers, and scenic mountains and streams—a lively display.

Mia had poured her heart into finding the perfect cake that matched her son's personality, sorting through hundreds of designs without satisfaction. Eventually, she designed it herself and worked with a pastry chef to bring her vision to life.

But sometimes, a kid just doesn't get the effort a mom puts in.

While the adults snapped photos and showered praises on the cake, Henry acted like it wasn't even his birthday and tried to make a run for it.

Caught, then tried to escape again. Caught once more, and nearly made another attempt before a gentle scolding convinced him to stay put.

Mia tried to put the birthday hat on Henry, and he took it right off.

She put it back on, and he took it off again. After a light tap on his hand, he finally settled down.

When it was time to blow out the candles, he was more interested in the

matchbox his dad had used, almost letting the candles burn out while reaching for

it.

Finally, after his dad managed to juggle the cake and give him another light scolding, Henry puffed out the small flames with a pout.
