Chapter 1219
Andre walked into the room, finding a dozen assassins already subdued. Annie
had a minor scrape, but Mia was not only unharmed; she was downright furious. Even though everyone was under control, she delivered a fierce kick to one of the men, shouting, "That's for hitting my son! Try that again, and see if I don't make you regret it!" With each word, her kicks grew more forceful.
Holding Mia close, Andre felt her warmth and closed his eyes. In that brief
moment when he couldn't find his wife and child, he imagined himself begging the heavens, willing to trade the rest of his life for their safety.
"Honey?"
Andre quickly wiped away the moisture from his lashes, making sure no one noticed his vulnerability. "Stop, you'll ruin your hands."
The fierce Mrs. Cedillo from a moment ago turned into a purring kitten in Andre's embrace. Mia, with a tearful voice, lamented, "Honey, he slapped our baby's face, and it's all swollen. It's heartbreaking."
Without a second thought, Andre dispatched the man with a single shot to the head. "Problem solved."
Mia, with her ears covered and her eyes shielded by Andre's chest, felt reassured. "It's okay now, love."
Crying, Mia clung tightly to Andre's waist. "If you hadn't come, you'd have lost your wife, your son, and your home."
"I'm here now; everything's alright."
After a headcount, someone reported, "Sir, including those we picked up on the way, we have 24 people. One managed to escape."
Mia, wiping her eyes, looked curiously at a familiar face. "Have we met before?" The man was at a loss. Was she flirting with him? Right in front of their boss?
Andre, recalling Mia's reputation in The Silent Ring and her sharp memory, gave a little cough to divert her focus. "Mia, you know I get jealous when you look at other men."
Mia, ever observant, started to say, "No, honey, I just thought he looked familiar..."noveldrama
"Where's our son?" Andre asked suddenly.
Mia's eyes went wide. "Our son! We have to find him." She remembered their little boy was still missing.
Mia shouted, "Henry, sweetie!"
The search party called out, "Henry!"
Annie chimed in, "Sweetie, Henry!"
Mars, making a megaphone with his hands, yelled, "Godson, come out! Your godfather wants to show you the beauties and play with you."
"Son, daddy's here. Come out and let me hold you."
They turned over bushes and emptied trash cans, but there was no trace of Henry.

Mia, hands on her hips, was anxious. "I told him we were playing hide and seek and that I'd spank him if Į caught him. But now I don't even know where he's hiding!"
Annie, who knew how good the little one was at hiding, coaxed, "Sweetie,
come out for some candy. Look!
what your godmother has inher pocket."
The yard was silent, apart from the rustling leaves. Henry was hidden so well that not a sound was heard.
In an instant, the courtyard transformed from a battleground to a search party,
with dozens of people looking for Henry.
Every room was searched; they even found Greg's body, but the crafty little guy was nowhere to be found.
Mia's worry grew. "Where could he be? I just wanted him to hide so well that no one could find him. Honey, do you think someone might have taken our son?"
What do you think?
