Reborn From Oblivion

Chapter 908

Morris and Greta were locked in a heated exchange, each one delivering sharp comebacks that left the onlooking Sharp family daughters-in-law scratching their heads in confusion.

"Mother, I've been listening, but I can't quite figure out who's right or wrong here. Their issues seem way too complicated. Honestly, I think it's best if you stay out of it," suggested the second daughter-in-law of the Sharp family.

The third daughter-in-law nodded in agreement, "Mother, second sister-in-law's got a point. You're not getting any younger; there's no reason to get tangled up in their mess. Better to let Greta sort her own things out."

But the fourth daughter-in-law had a different take, "Second sister-in-law, third sister-in-law, let's not forget Greta is the one who saved Mother's life. She seems pretty vulnerable and alone. If we just stand by and do nothing, it feels a bit heartless, don't you think?"

Mrs. Vincent took a moment to think it over before turning to Greta, "Greta, how would you like me to help you?"

Greta, aiming to stir things up, replied, "I wouldn't dare trouble you, maʼam, not over someone like me. I just thought you should know, don't be fooled by Mr. Rowland's charming facade. Keeping your distance might save you from a heap of trouble and potential ruin."

Mrs. Vincent furrowed her brow, mulling over Greta's warning.

She nodded, somewhat noncommittally, "I see."

Then she turned to Morris, "Do you need anything from me, child?"

Greta's face fell a bit.

The fourth daughter-in-law quickly stepped in, "Mother, you might not have heard, but the eldest brother has ordered that no one in the Sharp family is to help Mr. Rowland."

Mrs. Vincent clicked her tongue and sighed, "Why all the drama?"

The fourth daughter-in-law leaned in and whispered, "He's a genius hacker, but he's got questionable motives. The eldest brother is worried someone in the family might team up with him and leak our secrets, which would be a disaster."

Mrs. Vincent sighed deeply, "Alright then, I'll stay out of it."

Greta breathed a quiet sigh of relief.

Meanwhile, elsewhere...

Lincoln was in the Chairman's office at Vincent Corporation, waiting for what felt like forever for a meeting to wrapup, just so he could catch up with his old friend, Jules.

Jules' meeting finally ended around noon, and as he stepped out, he couldn't hide

his excitement, "Did he really say that? An old friend from twenty years ago?"

The secretary nodded, "Yes, Chairman. He looks about your age."

Jules hurried along, and as he pushed open the office door, both he and Lincoln paused, staring at each other in surprise.

Lincoln slowly got up from the sofa.noveldrama

Twenty years had passed in the blink of an eye.

The memories of growing up together, studying hard, and getting into all sorts of mischief were still so fresh.

"Lincoln, is it really you?" Jules' voice was choked with emotion.

He stumbled into the office, standing in front of Lincoln, eyes misty as he took in Lincoln's older face, "I've searched for you so many times it was like you vanished¶nto thin air. I thought I'd never see you again. Where have you been all these years?"

Lincoln was filled with emotion, "Life hasn't been easy. I got really sick and only woke up three years ago. Those twenty years feel like a foggy dream now. But thank goodness, that nightmare's over."
