Never Separate Us
Anna Maria has just finished her shower ritual. Still wearing her bathrobe, the woman walks out intending to find her husband.
Upon opening the door, the smell of cooking immediately hits her nose. She slowly makes her way to the kitchen. And indeed, she finds Kaivan, who is cooking something this morning.
From behind the man’s back, Anne can see how nimble Kaivan is, adding various ingredients into the frying pan on the stove. Humming softly, occasionally, Anne can also see how her husband tastes each of the dishes he’s cooking.
“How long are you going to gaze at your handsome husband?” Kaivan asks as he turns around. He finds his wife staring as if impressed by what he’s doing.
“Tsk! You’re too confident.”
“But I am handsome, right? I’m sure from the start, you were interested in me,” Kaivan retorts. Apparently, Anne’s accusation is correct that her husband is the type who’s overly self-assured.
Anne rolls her eyes. Slowly, she steps forward. Approaching Kaivan, who’s busy transferring food onto plates. “What other menu are you cooking this morning?” she probes.
“Spaghetti Carbonara,” the man replies.
“Oh my… you’re truly an Italian cuisine lover, it seems,” Anne remarks. Almost all the dishes Kaivan has cooked recently have been predominantly Italian. Anne also remembers Laura once telling her that their eldest child is absolutely crazy about any food originating from the land of pizza.
“Yes, you’re right.” Kaivan nods. “I don’t know why, but I’ve always liked all kinds of Italian dishes. And this morning, you must try my Spaghetti Carbonara.”
Anne smiles, feeling pleased with all the attention Kaivan is showing her. When she thinks back to the past, it’s hard to believe that a Kaivan could be as sweet as he is now. The arrogant and cold impression he used to give off was clear. It’s a 180-degree difference from now.
“Why just one plate? Aren’t you eating?” Anne asks when she sees that Kaivan has prepared only one serving of the dish.
“No.” Kaivan shakes his head. “I don’t feel like having spaghetti carbonara for breakfast this morning,” he explains.
“Then, what are you having for breakfast? Should I prepare something for you?” Anne offers as she walks toward the refrigerator. After taking out some orange juice, Kaivan approaches. He pulls Anne’s body and pins her against the nearby cabinet.
“If I want to enjoy you, would you give yourself to me?” he asks playfully.
Anne laughs. Before she can reply, Kaivan presses his lips against hers. He kisses her and sips as if Anne’s lips are an essential part he can’t ignore.
Kaivan continues to kiss, his hands even starting to remove Anne’s bathrobe. However, before it can fully come off, Anne quickly stops his hands.
“What’s the rush? Didn’t we have enough last night?” Anne asks, breaking their kiss.
“It seems I’ll never be satisfied,” Kaivan whispers.
“You’re insatiable!”
Kaivan bursts into laughter. He’s amused by his wife’s expression.
“I’m just being honest.”
“Could this be considered self-flattery?” Anne teases. Suddenly, she recalls all of Kaivan’s past remarks.
“What do you mean?”
“Weren’t you the one who said you would never be interested in me no matter how long?”
Kaivan sighs immediately. Despite doing so much together with Anne, she still brings up events from the past. She’s quite the grudge-holder, it seems.
“Oh my. Can’t you forget my words from the past? If only from the beginning, you were willing to be honest, maybe I would’ve treated you well a long time ago.”
Anne raises an indignant eyebrow.
“If I didn’t lie, there’s no guarantee that a Kaivan Maximilian would have even noticed me.”
Both of them eventually burst into laughter. It’s as if fate has been kind in bringing them together in such a unique way.
“Well then, enjoy the breakfast I’ve prepared for you. After that, get ready quickly.” Kaivan speaks as he guides Anne to sit in the dining chair.
“Are you inviting me to go out today?”
Kaivan nods immediately.
“Of course. That’s why finish your breakfast quickly. Meanwhile, I’ll change clothes and meet you in the lobby.” Kaivan gives a brief peck on the top of Anne’s head. He then walks off towards the room.

London is the capital city of England and the United Kingdom, also being the largest metropolitan area and the largest urban zone in the European Union. Located along the River Thames, London has been a major settlement for two millennia since it was founded by the Romans in the 1st century AD as Londinium.
London itself is home to various British icons such as the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, London Eye, British Museum, and many others.
Due to the numerous attractions that can be visited, Kaivan got the idea to take Anne on a tour around the city of London. That’s why, after breakfast this morning, he quickly got ready and waited for his wife in the hotel lobby. Today, it’s scheduled for them to have their first date.
Meanwhile, in her room, Anne appears busy selecting clothes hanging in the wardrobe. One by one, she’s been trying on dresses to find the right style to wear.
“No… no…” Anne murmurs. “Today is too bright. It would be quite funny if I wore an open dress like this.”
She continues to scan through the clothing collection that has been prepared by Meggy ever since she started staying at the hotel.
Her eyes keep moving, looking at the clothes. Finally, Anne settles on a casual outfit consisting of a t-shirt and jeans. She also pairs it with a leather jacket. Anne looks really relaxed yet still manages to convey an elegant impression.
After getting dressed and applying a light touch of makeup, Anne ties up her hair first. She wants to appear different today. Once ready, she walks lightly to the hotel lobby. There, her eyes immediately find a familiar figure standing behind her.
“I’m ready.”
Kaivan turns around immediately. Their eyes meet. For a moment, it’s not Kaivan but Anne who is taken aback by her husband’s appearance. Whether it’s a telepathic connection or an unforeseen coincidence, Kaivan is wearing clothes that match Anne’s.
Today, Kaivan is wearing a t-shirt paired with jeans just like Anne. He even has on a leather jacket that makes him look like a suave mafia character from the blockbuster movies Anne often watches.
“I told you not to look at me like that, Anna Maria. Don’t deny it again if you’re genuinely impressed by my handsomeness,” Kaivan teases as he walks towards his wife.
Caught being impressed by her husband’s appearance for the second time, Anne’s cheeks turn red. Should she be honest and admit that she really admires the man in front of her?
“Let’s go. If it gets too late, the weather will become hot.” The man immediately takes his wife’s wrist and leads her towards the VIP parking area.
Anne thought that Kaivan would take her to get into a car. However, when they reach the parking lot, he guides her to a different vehicle.
“What are we going to ride?” Curious, Anne finally asks.
“Today, we’re going to ride a motorcycle around the city of London.”
Anne shakes her head in disbelief. Kaivan is actually inviting her to go sightseeing on a motorcycle.
“Are you serious?” Anne tries to confirm, fearing she misheard.
“Very serious,” the man replies confidently. “Why? Have you never ridden a motorcycle before?”
Anne immediately shakes her head repeatedly.
“Of course, I have. It’s just that I can’t believe a Kaivan would ride a motorcycle and get all sweaty.”
“I’ve told you, your husband is a limited edition.”
Loud laughter erupts from Anne’s petite lips. Slowly, she starts to get onto the motorcycle that Kaivan has prepared to ride.
“Hold on tight. Today, we won’t go back until the sunset.”
