Chapter 1721
"Don't touch me! Trevor, we can't! We'll be struck by lightning! We're related... Don't you know I am your cousin? I mean it!"
This time, she didn't take any precautions. What if she got pregnant? They would be sinning! They couldn't do this anymore!
"Is that so?"
How could she come up with such an absurd excuse to prevent him from touching her?
Trevor was uncontrollably angry.
Initially, most of his emotions had already been released. Not to mention her continuous cold attitude toward him. Trevor had intended not to make things difficult for her. However, hearing her words now, he lost all control.
His movement paused slightly. Victoria's hope was raised. With tears in her eyes, she kept nodding her head.
However, the next second, the cruel voice shattered her dreams, "That's great!"
What did that mean?
Although now they had their differences and varying reasons, it was still against her will.
She instantly understood what he meant!
But at this moment, she really wished she knew nothing.
This night was doomed to be restless.
Feeling groggy, Victoria had no idea what kind of mood she was in when she fell asleep. The only memory she had was how tired and in pain, she felt. Throughout the night, she did not sleep well. Her body felt like it had been run over. Her eyelids weighed a hundred tonnes. It felt like she could never wake up.
When everything was over, Trevor took a shower and came out. In contrast, he was wide awake and not sleepy at all. He looked straight at the woman with closed eyes and arms crossed over her chest. All the coldness on his face melted away. Half a day later, he spent his time staring at her under the faint light from the bedside. The look in his eyes was so deep that it could pierce through her body. He saw her as his most precious treasure that he intended to protect forever.
As he gently tucked her in, a faint smile appeared on his lips. However, Victoria had no idea about any of this, and he had no intention of letting her know either.
The next day, when Victoria opened her eyes, it was already late in the morning. The room was quiet, and the seats by the bed were already slightly cold. When she got up, the burning pain she felt from last night had suddenly been chased away by a cooling feeling on her body. She moved her legs and unconsciously frowned.
Had he applied the ointment on her?
Her injuries from the night before were a direct reflection of how angry he had been.
Whether it was love or hate, no matter the reason, this seemed to be the first time since they got together that he was so harsh to her. Even during their first night together, he hadn't been this savage.
He had changed. From head to toe, he had become a different person. He had totally lost all his grace.
There wasn't much clear evidence left on her. The night before, more than once, she had the instinct that he was going to torture her to death. When it came to sex, men could go even wilder beyond her imagination.
They were just supposed to be acting. How had they gotten to this point?
The truth was finally out, yet it could not stop him. What else could she do?
Thinking of it, Victoria had another headache, but she understood it too well. The Trevor now was no longer comparable to his old self. At least right now, she could not afford to recklessly threaten his power. Otherwise, things would only get worse. It might even become unsalvageable!
Victoria got up in a trance and went into the bathroom.
When she went downstairs, she heard the low laughter from a distance. Amanda was on the phone with her mother. From their attitudes, she could already sense how happy her mother was over the phone.
"Don't worry! The two of them are fine. Victoria hasn't even woken up. She must be drained from last night. When Trevor left for work this morning, he specifically reminded us not to wake her."
"Oh, I told you that a mother has no control over her son once he's grown. Do you see what I mean? This is why it's better to have a daughter."
"I know. I'm overjoyed! I've never been happier. What could I be doing? I'm making soup. I received specific instructions to cook it. Who else could it be for? I have nothing to do right now."
"If you're busy, just go ahead. Don't worry!"noveldrama
"Haha."
She listened to their conversation in pieces. Their cheerful laughter flooded her ears. Victoria's heart sank lower and lower. Her chest ached. The night before, he had been so fierce to her, but now... Was he acting or was he being sincere?
Not daring to go forward, Victoria merely stood aside. Her mind was a mess. If she could be rid of all these distracting thoughts, the scene before her would be a beautiful one.
Soon, Amanda hung up the call. She
turned around and saw Victoria standing there. Immediately, she smiled, Warmly, she asked, "Victoria, you're up. Trevor left earlier because he had a meeting to attend. You must be hungry. I made you some soup. It's chicken soup with pasta, your favorite!"
Regardless of her selfish intentions, Amanda had always liked Victoria. The two of them laid down their tempers with each other and got along well. When she saw the clear marks on Victoria's neck, she couldn't hide her smile. Even her voice turned gentle.
Smiling, Victoria also took Amanda's arm. She hesitated before saying, "Thank you! Sorry, I..."
Her in-laws and Caroline were all very good to her. Since she had no siblings, she really appreciated her relationship with them. Even if her mother wasn't in the picture and their two families weren't close, she really did not want to hurt them.
Unfortunately, the reality of the situation had her cornered. No words could describe Victoria's mood.
When she apologized to Amanda, it took every ounce of her energy.
"Silly girl. We're all a family. What is there to apologize for? Everyone was young once. Victoria, next time you run into any problems,
remember that the family canol ne
you solve them. So. don't disappear again, okay? When you weren't around, Trevor... He was so depressed."
He almost fell into an endless depression. His reaction this time was much larger
than the incident from a couple of years before.
As his mother, she knew her son well. Even though Trevor tried to hide it from her, Amanda still knew what was going on.
There was no way to escape, Victoria could only take it one step at a time. She nodded obediently and said, "I know. It won't happen again!"
When everything was revealed, perhaps they would chase her away!
She shook her head lightly. Victoria did not want to think about the future. She ate and drank the soup with her mother-in-law. After chatting for a while, she went to her mother's house. The day went on until it was dark on, and finally, she had no choice but to go home.
When she walked into the house, her nerves immediately tensed up.
As time ticked by and the sky got darker, her anxiety increased. She nervously sat
on the couch. Her hands and legs could not stop trembling.
Unexpectedly, Trevor did not come back all night.
In the following days, during the day, Victoria would keep busy with all kinds of things and shuttle back and forth between her home and her mother-in-law's. In the evening, she would become a frightened bird that couldn't even manage a smile. Every night, she went to sleep in fear. However, Trevor never showed up.
A week later, early in the morning, she received a call from Alicia. She was inviting
Victoria to attend Kylie's jewelry launching event. "A party? Tonight?" "Don't tell me you didn't get invited or that you can't come! You've not even met
me once since you got back. Trevor is away on business and won't be back until
noon, right? Their gathering tonight won't end that early anyway. Let's go have some fun!"
What do you think?
