Alpha King’s Special Soulmate

EPISODE THIRTY-ONE

THEME: Heat Medication

BLACK MOON PACK

(Avery’s Point Of View)

HOURS LATER-NIGHT TIME

I waited till everything died down before I decided to act on my escape plan. Kayden had come knocking on the door, pleading with me to give him a chance to explain everything to me but I didn’t answer him. I don’t need any explanation from him. I don’t care about him anymore. I have had too much of getting hurt by my mate. And I would never back down on the decision I have made in my mind.

Slowly I opened the bedroom door but I heard a voice echoing in the silent hallway. It was Luna Beatrice voice.

“She won’t reject me right?” I heard Kayden’s voice.

“I don’t know. But you should prepare yourself. I think you should respect whatever decision she makes.” Luna Beatrice said.Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

I closed the door back, locked it and looked around the room. It was best to leave and be away from everyone. I have just two weeks to write my final exams which I hope this doesn’t affect my grades in anyway. I have to be strong and never give up. I have come too far to let myself lose everything I have worked for in the past five years.

My eyes drifted to the window and I motioned towards it. Going out through the living room won’t help my escape plan. They might try to stop me from leaving most especially Kayden. I don’t want to ever see his face again.

I opened the window and climbed on it. I took one last look at the room before climbing over the edge and I landed on the ground gently. I reached for the short fence and lifted my weight over it and landed on a dark path. I made my way around until I got to the infirmary. I needed to get the medication that would help suppress my sexual urges whenever I am in heat. And that would really help me and it’s the only thing I needed at the moment. I can do well on my own even without my family’s support.

The infirmary was so silent as a graveyard when I passed by it to the Theta home. And I was glad no one was outside as I moved to the building.

The theta is the leader of the medical infirmary within the pack. A doctor or surgeon in the human world. Black moon theta is a strong wolf. She has a vast knowledge in herbs and other medical resources that will help cure and heal others.

Corinna is an iota at the pack infirmary. The Iotas are workers at the infirmary. They help the theta in treating wolves and some of them are students learning from the leader.

I knocked on the door gently. “Who is out there?” The voice didn’t come from behind the door but somewhere close. I stepped backward on the dark porch, glanced sideways and I saw the theta’s outstretched neck from the window.

“Who are you? The infirmary is close by.. try to see the iota at the reception desk.” The theta lives next to the infirmary in a small studio apartment.

“It’s me, Avery.” I said.

“Oh! Young Luna.” Her outstretched neck disappeared and soon the door opened up. “Are you alright, young Luna?” She opened the door wide and signaled to me to step into her apartment.

“I am doing fine.” I answered.

The Theta doubted my response as her eyes studied me. Of course, I am not fine. I looked like a crumbled paper after crying for hours. I had even fallen asleep in the process only to wake up to the realization that I already lost my mate to another she wolf.

“I need your help, Theta Jane.” I said.

Theta Jane raised her eyebrows. I am sure she would be surprised of me asking for her help. I have only had a chat with her once which was on the day Kayden took me on a tour around the pack. He brought me to the infirmary, introduced me to the theta and it was also the same day I met Corinna.

“How may I help you?” Theta Jane requested.

For a second, I wondered if the news about the soon to be alpha cheating on his young Luna already spread around the pack. Gossips always seem to spread far and wide like a wild fire. The maids were in the kitchen when alpha Scott and Luna Beatrice had an argument so they must have heard everything.

“I need you to give me the heat medication. I experienced my first heat and got intimate with Kayden last night so I’ll be needing it to help me a tay focused at school.” I explained hoping she won’t try to think about me escaping from the pack.

“Are you leaving?” Theta Jane asked.

Have I made it so obvious that I was leaving the park finally?

I feigned a smile on my face. “I am leaving for school tomorrow. I won’t be able to see Kayden since I have to study hard for my final exams.” I lied.

Theta Jane nodded her head in understanding. “Alright. Please hold on, I’ll be right back. I have some pills in my cabinet.” She walked away.

I hope she brings more than enough pills that would sustain me for a long time. I don’t know what the future have in store for me but one thing was certain, I am not going to see any other man. I would focus on the betterment of my life and fulfill the dream I have in my mind since the inception.

Theta Jane came back with a small container. “I have just fifty pills in there.” She gave it to me.

“This should last me for a while.” I mumbled.

“Pardon?” Theta Jane asked.

“I mean.. thank you..” I added quickly.

“Alright.” She folded her arms.

I turned away towards the door. “You shouldn’t leave just like that.” Theta Jane’s voice stopped me on track. She caught me.

“I can tell that you are leaving the young alpha because he cheated. But I don’t think you should give up on your mate.”

I turned to look at her. “Did you know about it too? I mean.. about the affair?” I asked.

“I have always known everything about Corinna. I raised her as my own child.” Theta Jane answered.

Well it seemed like I and the alpha are the only ones who doesn’t know about the affair.

“Corinna made a promise to stay away from Kayden when he found you. I suggested that she relocate to another pack with the hope that she might find her mate elsewhere but she declined. Well I thought they ended the relationship a long time ago.” Theta Jane said.

I nodded my head. She is just like the Luna.

“You can’t let Corinna win over your mate. She got too greedy and doesn’t want to let go of Kayden. She loves him too much.” Theta Jane added.

“If Corinna loves him then I think she deserves him and she would do a good job at being a Luna.” I replied.

“Young Luna-”

“Avery, that’s my name.” I corrected her. “You can relay my message to everyone. Help me thank the alpha and tell him to send some words to my pack about me not being ready to bond with my mate. To avoid any form of war, he doesn’t have to mention it that my mate has been cheating on me. And for Kayden and Corinna, I wish them all the best in life.” I turned to leave before the theta could utter her next words of protest.

I made my way towards the woods that only moonlight provided light in the other. I pulled off my top and short, tied it together and managed to hide the container in it so it won’t fall off. And I attached it to my ankle ready to shape shift into my wolf form. It would help me get out of the pack quickly instead of passing the main entrance and get stopped by Kayden.

No one and nothing is going to stop me from leaving. I know the route like the back of my palm but I also know that I might possibly cross another pack territory. It’s better to get caught in another pack than being in this hell hole knowing another she wolf was carrying my mate’s pup.

I ran for a few hours until I reached a brook. I led my wolf towards it so we could have a drink. We did and I sensed that my wolf limbs were too weak so I lay us down by the brook and soon we drifted off to sleep.
