Your Highness's Beloved Medical-skilled Princess

Chapter 130 Infighting

Chapter 130 Infighting

Prince Huai hadn’t got up so Yuan Qingling asked the servant who had served him the night before

first. He said Prince Huai had also coughed up blood the night before but it happened obviously less

frequently than before.

Nurse Xi reported to her about the medicine. Prince Huai took medicines after dinner and took them

again in the middle of the night when he woke up and coughed up blood. He hadn’t taken medicine yet

this morning.

“Thank you. Go get some sleep and I’ll take care of him during the day.” Yuan Qingling nodded. Exclusive © content by N(ô)ve/l/Drama.Org.

Nurse Xi shook her head and said, “I’m OK. I got some sleep last night. What I did was get up and help

His Grace to take medicines. Mrs. Lu had sent her men to take care of His Grace the rest of the time.”

“Okay. Where’s Mrs. Lu?” Yuan Qingling asked.

“She is sleeping. She stayed up all night last night.”

Yuan Qingling was surprised. Was Ms. Lu not going to watch her today?

Although Ms. Lu showed trust yesterday, Yuan Qingling knew she was not entirely reassured.

Maybe she had changed her mind since Prince Huai was getting better last night.

Prince Huai was woken up by Yuan Qingling and Nurse Xi’s whispering. The servant hurried in when

he coughed.

The servant helped him gargle, washed his face, and combed his hair carefully and then served him

millet gruel.

Yu Wenling went in with a mask. “Brother. Qingling is here. She’s outside.”

Prince Huai smiled at Yu Wenling. “I see, girl. Why do you come here so early?”

“I’ve stayed here for a few days? Don’t you know that?”

“Really?” Prince Huai was surprised and then looked at her with a smile. “Aren’t you afraid of your

mom’s scolding?”

“She was always making too big a fuss. I begged father and he agreed.” She sat down suddenly and

said to the servant, “Go get Princess Chu.”

The servant got out.

Yu Wenling stuck out her tongue only to remember that she was wearing a mask and her tongue

touched the mask. “I’m going to stay with you while Qingling is treating you.”

“No, you must go out. What’s so interesting about treatment?” Prince Huai looked at his sister lovingly.

“Don’t worry, Qingling said that we won’t be easily infected if we wear the mask.” Yu Wenling insisted.

Prince Huai knew that it’s not possible to refuse her so he shut his mouth. He looked up and saw Yuan

Qingling coming in with Nurse Xi.

Yu Wenhao didn’t come.

Yuan Qingling left home with her medicine cabinet this morning. Seeing Prince Huai looking behind her,

she understood that he was looking for Yu Wenhao so she said, “Your Grace, your brother didn’t come

since there was a tragic case in the capital and he is investigating it.”

She heard of it from Gu Si.

Then she found that she knew little about Yu Wenhao and spared little time in caring about him.

“Then he has to be busy for a while.”

“Yes, he’ll come to see you when he’s free.”

Yuan Qingling opened the medicine cabinet, took out the stethoscopea and asked the servant for help,

“Come and help untie His Grace’s clothes so I can listen to his heartbeat and lungs.”

The servant did that yesterday so he pulled up the clothes skillfully, exposing the location of the heart.

After auscultation, Yuan Qingling said, “The noise is still loud but you are better than yesterday, which

is a good sign.”

The case was simple since the ancient people hadn’t never taken antibiotics yet so the medicines

worked really fast.

After the injection, she prescribed the medicine.

After inquiring about the medicine taking yesterday, she found that the side effects were not serious so

she increased the dose today in order to contain the tuberculosis bacteria as soon as possible.

“What kind of needle is this? Why is it different from the royal physician’s?” Yu Wenling asked.

Yuan Qingling explained, “This is a specific drug for tuberculosis. The first course of treatment lasts for

half a month. After half a month, the drug will be changed. Generally, the disease will be in control and

its infectivity will be reduced half a month later. After that, treatment should be continued. After about

half a year, the disease can basically be cured.”

Yu Wenling exclaimed with her eyes wide open, “Really? It will be cured? If you cure Wenhuai, that’ll

be really great.”

Yuan Qingling smiled and looked at Prince Huai. He still didn’t believe he would be healed so far so he

looked indifferent.

“It is true theoretically so we should be hopeful and the patients themselves should be optimistic, too. I

have seen many patients who have no cure but they have survived for a long time with sheer willpower.

His Grace has so much support that there is no reason to give up.”

Hearing that, Prince Huai looked up slightly as if he had something to say. Nevertheless, he smiled and

said, “Yes, it surely makes sense.”

Yuan Qingling knew that was not what he had in mind and that psychotherapy was necessary for him.

Prince Huai was very pessimistic although he seemed to cooperate. Even if the condition was

improved, the doctor’s diagnosis of death had been etched in his mind. He believed that he would die

soon all the time.

He smiled, too when everyone was cheered for his improvement. However, his eyes were indifferent.

“Please leave us alone. I have a word with His Grace.” Yuan Qingling said.

Realizing that Yuan Qingling got serious suddenly, Yu Wenling stopped being naughty and got out with

Nurse Xi and the servant.

There were more and more people coming to Prince Huai’s Residence. A lot of people came here

lately, which confused Yu Wenling. She hadn’t seen so many people coming here before.

Princess Ji, in particular, was very enthusiastic.

Yu Wenling stopped Princess Ji from going into Yu Wenhuai’s room and said, “The treatment is in

progress. Please stay out.”

“Your Grace, you trust Princess Chu indeed now. I sincerely hope that Princess Chu can cure Prince

Huai’s illness.” Princess Ji smiled

“Sure she will!” Yu Wenling said proudly.

Looking at Yu Wenling, Princess Ji kept smiling. “You are too young to trust the right person. I’m afraid

that you will be involved in trouble if bad things happen to His Grace since now you take care of him

day and night and help him take medicine.”

Yu Wenling hated hearing such words. Her face clouded and said coldly, “Watch your mouth. You’re

expecting bad things to happen though the treatment is still in process. Ms. Lu would rip your mouth

into shreds if she’s here and hear what you said.”

Fear appeared on Princess Ji’s face. She gave a hollow laugh. “Well, I don’t say it anymore if you don’t

like it. I hope sincerely Prince Huai will be healed .”

Yuan Qingling could hear Princess Ji’s conversation with Yu Wenling inside the room. Her hearing was

very good recently.

Princess Ji’s words may seem inappropriate. After all, it was an offense to Ms. Lu and a curse to Prince

Huai.

But she could tell the sufficient confidence behind it.

She was convinced that Prince Huai’s illness could not be cured.

Why did she believe that Prince Huai was going to die?

Unless she’s in control.

What she said to Yu Wenling was a good advice if Prince Huai was really dead after her treatment.

What a princess with a reputation for foresight.

How could Prince Ji not win with such an excellent wife?
