What Separates Me and You

Chapter 315 Stop Putting up a Fight, Lewis

The entire cabin erupted into chaos the second Faust revealed Lewis’ cards.

Even Kiran couldn’t refrain from springing up from his seat. He stared at Lewis’ hole cards.

They were, in fact, an Ace of Spades and a King of Spades!

Faust’s eyes widened. He looked at Lewis in shock. How could it be?

Lewis said, “Looks like luck is on my side.”

“How is that possible?” Kiran’s face contorted. He slumped back onto his seat and looked up at Faust. His eyes seemed to accuse Faust of cheating.

Faust understood the meaning behind his gaze and immediately defended himself, “I know neither of you, so there’s no reason for me to side with any of you. Sir, it looks like you lost

the bet.”

Kiran fixed his gaze on Lewis.

Lewis’ expression never changed. He was as cool as a cucumber, as though he wasn’t playing poker but was enjoying an afternoon tea with an old friend. “What now, President Kiran? Is the agreement ready?”

There was a crack in Kiran’s usual composure-he was visibly displeased. He knew deep down Lewis couldn’t have such good fortune. He wasn’t a gullible rookie.

The probability of a player getting a set of royal flush without a single glance at his hole cards was even lower than striking the lottery, and Lewis must have chosen not to check his cards. from the beginning

so he could play dirty.

To go bankrupt as the result of the other party cheating was absolutely unacceptable to Kiran.

As his expression shifted unpredictably, Lewis chose the worst timing possible and said, “It seems like you’re the one trying to welch on your debt, President Kiran.”

This matter was beyond Faust. They exchanged their money for gambling chips, but the casino’s rules and regulations had no power over verbal wagers.

Draco was an ill-tempered man. He abruptly pulled out a gun. “This brat obviously cheated! You’re looking for trouble by cheating on my watch!” NôvelDrama.Org © 2024.

He was overly engrossed in the notion of killing Lewis. He aimed his gun at Lewis and pulled the trigger.

However, Lewis rose before Draco took action and flung the tray on the table at Draco. The bullet penetrated the tray and swished past Lewis’s ear, missing it by a mere fraction.

Chaos ensued when the bullet left the gun.

Guests screamed and scuttled everywhere as both parties pulled out their weapons and started

a fight.

Amidst the chaos, Seth tugged Lewis’ arm and removed him from the crowd. “We found her. Don’t dawdle.”

Lewis’ eyes flickered. He ignored those behind him, engaged in the fight, and followed Seth out of the cabin.

Hiding behind a pillar, Kiran was observant enough to detect Lewis immediately. Without hesitating, he tailed them.

Draco also emerged from the crowd and went after them.

Lewis rapidly descended the stairs and arrived at a room smack in the middle of the fourth

level.

Seth kicked open the door. It was dark inside. He turned on the lights and immediately discovered Josephine in the corner.

They were in a storage room, storing numerous tools for repair work and a messy pile of cardboard boxes.

Josephine was still out cold. Ropes tied her arms and legs, and she was still in that peculiar outfit. She curled up in a corner, unconscious.

Lewis strode forward and helped her up. Untying the ropes binding her limbs in a hurry, he carried her bridal style.

At that moment, two pursuers had reached the room door. Seth swung his leg at them and, with a flick of his dagger, sliced through one of the men’s throats like he was slicing up

vegetables.

He looked back and told Lewis, “Take her and leave. I’ll cover you. A yacht is waiting outside!”

Then, he sent the man before him flying with another kick.

Carrying Josephine, Lewis paused when he passed by Seth. “You’d better not die.”

Seth said something similar to him once.

Seth heard him and laughed. “Back at you. Now hurry!”

Without further ado, Lewis ran toward the deck with Josephine in his arms.

Seth looked at Kiran and Draco, who caught up with them. He chuckled and ran in the other

direction to where the crowd was. Then, he fired a bullet into the air.

There was a loud bang, and guests shrieked as they ran for their lives, scuttling in all

directions.

Draco saw him immediately. Without thinking much about it, he darted for Seth. Afraid he would unintentionally injure a guest, he pulled out a dagger.

Seth smiled when he saw that and approached Draco.

Once the fight broke out, Faust could no longer sit on the fence. Every mercenary onboard gushed out and was in hot pursuit of the men Seth and Lewis brought.

Kiran arrived at the first level. Scanning the messy cabin, he frowned.

This time, he had no intention of allowing Lewis to leave. Besides enlisting Draco’s help, he had something else up his sleeves.

His lips curved into a smile as he ran toward the deck.

The sea breeze was roaring on the deck, so strong it seemed to be able to blow a man off his

feet.

Kiran raised an arm to shield himself from the wind, struggling as he made his way to the side of the cruise ship. He released the lifeboat and leaped out without a doubt.

After the lifeboat had traveled a certain distance, Kiran pulled out a remote as he stared at the massive cruise ship, murderous intent flashing across his eyes.

Finger on the button, he paused for a few seconds before pressing it decisively.

“Bang!” A loud explosion erupted on the sea, its flames flickering in the darkness as the white. cruise ship gradually tilted.

Cries and shrieks rang out from its direction, piercing the air above the inky sea.

Lewis had just brought Josephine up the yacht. He jerked his head backward and saw blazing flames engulfing the cruise ship, crackling like firecrackers, as it slowly sank.

Many directly leaped off the ship in an attempt to save their own lives. The number of people on the cruise ship was innumerable. Under the glow of the fire, they looked like someone adding ingredients to a hot pot.

“Let’s go.” Hugging Josephine, Lewis withdrew his gaze and instructed the man operating the yacht to leave.

“Yes, sir.”

The yacht operator whirred the engine to a start. Just as he was about to move, the yacht. lurched and glided a good distance away.

Lewis looked back and saw Kiran’s lifeboat charging toward them while Kiran had already leaped onto their yacht.

“Lewis Alvarez, you’re not easy to kill.” Kiran looked unkempt. He lost his glasses somewhere, and his tousled hair drooped on his forehead.

He briskly approached Lewis with a knife in his hand.

Lewis’ eyes grew dark. “Did you do that?”

Kiran gave him a cruel smile. “So what if I did? Lewis, you should feel honored to have so many accompanying you as you make your way to hell.”

Lewis snickered. “You’re insane.”

“Hahaha…” Kiran burst into a gale of manic laughter at his response. “And now you’re calling me insane! That word suits you better, don’t you think? At least the blood on my hands belong to strangers. But you,” Kiran slowly walked forward, the knife he held glinting under the moonlight as he said, “look at who you’d killed. Yet you have the nerve to call me insane. We’re the same, so there’s only enough place for one of us.”

At that, Kiran lunged at Lewis with his knife.

Lewis put Josephine down and rose to resist Kiran.

Lewis had just grabbed Kiran’s wrist when Kiran kicked him, and he flew backward like at ragdoll. “You’re fighting back even with all the injuries you’re suffering. Stop putting up at fight, Lewis.”

Lewis crashed into the metal frame of the yacht and coughed blood. “I’ll send this mute to hell with you. You can save your thanks.”
