Chapter 35 Let love decide my fate
The Rolls Royce limo pulled over a five star grand hotel, and a security hastened to open the door for them.
“You are welcome, boss,” greeted the security as soon as Fanny alighted and he shook his head in response. Gently he lent his hand to Opula as she alighted from the limo, taking care not to damage her gold. “You are welcome, madam,” greeted the security to Opula and she stood in a moment to behold the magnificent edifice she was going to lodge for the night.
“Excuse me, Fanny,” she called, scowling and still staring at the splendor and beauty of the five star hotel that crazed her beyond normal, “I can’t afford this. I don’t have enough money on me to pay for this facility. This is beyond my…”Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
“Shhh,” Fanny cut in, “Henceforth your bills are on me. Whatsoever you need under the sun mention it, they will come bowing to you.” He smiled widely.
And she breathed hard and scowled, almost asking him his reason for all this – the luxury thus far and the pampering. She wanted to know what she did to deserve all this. She gazed upon the hotel and the name carved in gold splashed into her eyes; FANNY SUITE. She glared, noticing that every staff that came around bossed him and greeted him lordly.
“Do you own the hotel?” she asked coldly and brightened up in expectance of an answer.
“Yes I do. It is just one of my numerous hotels around the world. Come on that is a story for another day. We need to go in so you can freshen up and then I will take you on a grand tour of the hotel. What do you think?” he asked and stretched out his hand at once as one of the security rushed to him and collected his phones from him and followed them as they entered the reception.
“You are welcome, boss! You are welcome, boss!” the greeting from staff hung hugely across the atmosphere as he shook his head in response, walking gently, hand-in-hand, with Opula as they made into the elevator. He pressed floor 20 on the elevator and up they went, facing each other, locking eyes, until Opula threw her gaze to the artificial waterfall outside, across the swimming pool. The glory of the hotel and the ‘situationship’ she found herself made her to start thinking: am I falling in love or is he falling in love? I want to reject him but my heart keeps failing me like the weakness of dried leaves in summer. What boldness would I need to confront this possession. He has taken over my heart and made me breathe through his nostrils. How did I come across this billionaire that has put the world in my palms in less than twenty four hours. He is cute, young and rich. That is the part I know. May I survive the part I don’t know about him and live with it without either of us being hurt. A mission awaits me and he has cornered me like a hawk would do a chick. If only I can know what he is out for, his plans and tricks. The love is more than a magic. I am yet to understand this uninvited billionaire that stitched my heart with gold and blessed my path with diamond.
Soon the elevator arrived at floor 20 and they exited. Opula was astonished to walk on glass layered floor. She could see herself in the floor while she walked. Her breath got seized, beholding the awesomeness that the hotel was blessed with.
Suddenly two pretty looking women rushed from their corner and made to them. They held Opula’s hand to lead her to her room.
“They will be at your service throughout your stay here,” fanny said, and paused, “They will lead you to your suite. I will be in mine. As soon as you are ready for the grand tour, phone me I will come through,” he concluded and watched as the pretty ladies led Opula to her suite. He smiled and kept to his stare until they vanished out of his sight. He laid his hand on his chest and smiled on, as he made to his suite.
The ladies pressed onto a button and the door opened, and welcomed them into an extraordinary paradise. A perfect suit with two lavished bedroom, a kitchen, and two bath with a mini swimming pool housing colorful hibiscus flowers which floated. On the other end of the suite was Fanny’s photo where he wore sunshades and smiled stilly. She went closer and beheld it, as though there was more to the picture than what she saw.
“If you need our attention ma’am you ring the bell, and we will appear,” one of the girls said, and she shook her head before they left.
Opula walked around her suite, observing the exquisite furniture made of polished wood, which were used to beautify it and, the ocean view that called on her when she looked out through the window. She was carried away in thought: the heart of a woman devices too many things but only the affection of a man will stand. How can I travel all the way to Beijing just to fall in love forgetting my purpose? Is this my fate? Love what are you telling me? No way. I can’t allow Ziu to embrace happiness for the rest of his life. Love can go ahead and possess me. I may fall in love but one thing is certain; and that is time. Time happens to everything. With time Ziu will be brought to nothing. I will ensure he goes the path of bush animals. Yes, he is worst than an infidel and henceforth his life, success, and happiness lies on my breasts as the lips of a new born baby is to its mother’s. And if I get to find out Fanny is a joint of him, his loyalists sent to spy on me, and cage me down, I will put him in the same box as Ziu and make sure he pays with his life. Love has no room for rebel. If I fall in love with you, Fanny, and you betray me, you better dig two graves; she thought and snapped out of it, undressed herself, beheld her nakedness in the mirror and walked into the mini pool for a wash- her suspicious stares came on Fanny’s picture on the wall while she washed herself.
