Chapter 12: Ch 11
Chapter 12: Ch 11
"I don't want anyone else to know, this isn't something a lot of people should be aware of its dangerous," Tate said eyeing Tom and Eddie who sat down looking up at Tate as they nodded their heads.
"Good," he said smiling.
After explaining to Tate about me being an Elemental he went on about how dangerous it might me. In all honesty it was driving me crazy.
"How cool is this! My big brothers mate is an Elemental! That's so cool!" Eddie said with a wide smiling showing of his teeth as he bounced in his spot slightly.
"Yes Eddie, its very cool," Tate said sighing shaking his head and I could only imagine what he was thinking.
What am I going to do with him?
As a new figure walked in we all turned our heads to see Duncan come in.
"Alpha, Luna," he said giving us a smile as he tilted his head slightly.
"Duncan, you can take some time off if you would like. You've been at the borders for hours," Tate said in concern as Duncan grinned shaking his head.
"A few hours won't hurt, I'll survive," he said grabbing a jug of water and pouring himself a cup.
"I should probably go and keep and eye out as well," Tom spoke slapping his hands to his knees as he stood up, "-get the warrior wolves something to eat," he said messing up Eddies hair before exiting the room.
"Duncan I'd like you to inform Simon..." Tate began to speak as he walked next to his beta, after kissing my forehead.
Ignoring their conversation I stood up and walked over to sit next to Eddie.
"Hey buddy," I said grinning as I also ruffled his hair making him growl.
"People need to stop that," he said puffing out his chest trying to be a little man.
I laughed at him as he rolled his eyes giving me a disapproving look one would give their child.
"Alpha's of the left wing and the north of building, should have their wolves around that side," Duncan said as I glanced at them in curiosity.
"So it should be safe," he finished as Tate nodded his head while Duncan dismissed himself to go back on patrol.
"All this waiting, its driving me insane," Tate said rubbing his temples as Eddie gave his brother a small smile before walking out.
"They're waiting to attack and they just won't do it so we can finish this," he said engulfing me in a hug as I rested my head on his chest listening to his heartbeat.
"I know," I said in a low whisper.
"Its your birthday tomorrow," Tate whispered and I looked at with wide eyes.
"It is? Already?" I asked confused and remembering the date- he was right.
He nodded his head and smiled silently. I smiled back and closed my eyes, head still on his chest.
"Do you want to go to the river?" I asked with my eyes still closed, listening to his steady breaths.
"What for?" He asked and I knew he knew why I wanted to go. If I was going to help when the enemy attacked I had to know the length of my ability.
"You know what for," I grumbled into his chest and he chuckled making the vibrations go against my cheek.
"Let's go,"
We walked hand in hand outside and made it to the river.
I practised with the water and Tate watched silently. After awhile we headed back and after I had a quick shower I headed towards my lesson for the day while Tate headed off towards his office to do what ever he does.
Walking through the halls I found the math class room that wrote Mathematics on the door in big bold letters. I felt excitement bubble inside of me as I walked in. Math was my strong point and numbers were my second language.
"Are you Ms Weitzel? The new student?" asked an old man at the front of the classroom.
I nodded my head and looked around awkwardly. Where was everyone?
"This place looks deserted," I said to the old man as he gave me a small smile.
He had grey hair and a grey beard. He wore glasses and old fashioned clothing.
"No one likes mathematics, so no one shows up," he said sadly as he motioned towards the empty class room.
Poor man.
"I like math. I'd like it if you'd teach me something," I said giving him a small smile and his eyes lit up.
The passion of teaching was clear in his eyes and immediately he took out multiple books and began saying formulas and equations.
"Pythagoras Theorem? Or perhaps Trigonometry? Oh were to begin!" He said with a nervous laugh as he scattered through pages.
The old man showed me pictures of old buildings and what formulas were used for building and measuring such things.
I flipped through pages and stopped on a picture that caught my eye.
"Wait-is this the Werewolf Committee? This building?" I asked with wide eyes as I looked at the huge building that I was currently. The picture looked old along with the book. As if it were taken decades ago.
"Indeed it is. You could read about it if you like," he said massaging his beard.
I read through the history of the building and my eyes grew wide. It showed the different parts of the building and all the rooms.
There were annotations and in small scribbly-ancient writing it wrote;
Underground tunnel starts from- an arrow- and finishes -another arrow.
Oh wow, I thought as I looked at the paper with awe.
Before I can dwell on it or ask the old man for further information a loud crash sounded from the far end of the room.
My head snapped into the direction of the crash and the window in the far corner was shattered as the sharp glass pieces laid on the floor.
A rock with a paper wrapped around it stood in the middle of the floor. The teacher next to be froze and looked at the broken window confused.
Standing up I slowly walked over to pick up the rock, careful not to step on the sharp shards of glass.
Picking up the rock I unwrapped the paper from around it and opened in in the palm of my hand.
It was a note with messy handwriting written on it.
'I hope you're prepared.'
Before I could evenunderstandthe meanings behind the words more crashing and glass shattering began.
I felt glass hit my skin and I ducked under the nearest table.
"Quick! Get under a table!" I shouted to the poor old man who quickly nodded his head and got under his desk.
The loud shattering noises of glass pierced my ears and I brought my hands to cover my ears as I shut my eyes tight. NôvelDrama.Org copyrighted © content.
I opened one of my eyes to see several rocks being thrown at the window and loud crashing nosies.
Oh god.
When I stopped hearing the noises and no more rocks came in I crawled out from under the seat and slowly took in my surroundings.
Glass. Glass was everywhere.
I quickly walked over to were the teacher hid and saw him curled up under the desk.
"Oh Lord! I am going to die! Please take me Lord and help me!" He said eyes shut tight and I nudged his shoulder.
"Sorry sir, but you aren't leaving earth just yet," I said and he slowly opened his eyes standing up.
"Oh dear, your bleeding!" He cried out and I looked down at my carve that had been stinging and sure enough blood poured out of the deep gash on my leg.
"Shit," I cussed as I made a move to touch it and hissed when it stung even more.
"Just get out of here quickly, let someone know, hurry!" I said and he nodded and scrambled his way out. I slumped down in the chair he had occupied once and groaned in pain.
Why are there so many idiots in this world?
