Chapter 19 What Else Does Isobel Lewis Have Besides Her Appearance?
Meanwhile, Martha started at the phone after the call was hung up.
She smiled. “Hamish, are you really so ruthless?” Hamish cast her a cold and indifferent glance. The
smile on Martha’s face stiffened. She shrugged and tossed the phone onto the table. “I just heard that
Miss Lewis was crying so pitifully.”
Sitting aside, Freddie frowned when hearing her words. “What’s wrong with Isobel?”
Hearing his question, Martha smiled. “TSK... Mr. Kennedy, Yasmin is sitting next to you. You care about
Miss Lewis so much. Aren’t you afraid Yasmin would get jealous?”
Hearing Martha’s words, Freddie pulled a long face. “Martha Sutton, can you shut the fuck up?”
Yasmin also snorted. “Miss Sutton, mind your own business. We are good friends with Isobel. What’s
wrong if he cares about her?”
Martha had never been liked by them. Since both Freddie and Yasmin retorted her in a scolding way,
Martha also pulled a long face. “Then you’d better hurry up to rescue your good friend. If you were too
late, you can’t blame me for not reminding you -- Darren Chester is famous for his cruel play in bed.”
Upon hearing her words, the expression of both Freddie and Yasmin changed all of a sudden. “Did you Belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
bring her to Darren Chester?”
“What do you mean by that? I have nothing to do with it. Don’t frame me!”
Taking a look at Hamish, who didn’t utter a sound, Freddie asked, “She used to be your date. Are you
really so heartless?”
Finishing his words, he took Yasmin’s hand and walked out of the private room with her together. On
half-way, Freddie realized that he didn’t know the location yet, so he had to return and asked, “Where
are they now?”
As soon as Freddie finished asking, Hamish suddenly stood up. “Camellia Restaurant,” he said
unhurriedly.
Martha looked up at Hamish, her face darkened. “Hamish, are you going to rescue her?”
Hamish looked down at her with a faint smile. “Freddie was right. She used to be my date anyway. I
can’t let Darren Chester touch her.”
When he was speaking, nothing could be told from his expression. Martha couldn’t tell if he really
meant it or not. When she was about to say something, Hamish had already walked out of the private
room with Freddie and Yasmin.
At a thought that they were rushing to save Isobel Lewis, Martha felt rage surging in her chest.
She was so furious that she raised her arm and swept all things on the table to the floor.
Freddie stared at Hamish, frowning. “Hamish, do you really want to break up with Isobel?”
Hearing his question, Hamish turned to cast a glance at him. “Or what? What else does Isobel Lewis
have besides her appearance?” His tone was indifferent, but his words sounded quite mean.
Walking aside, Yasmin couldn’t help but chime in, “Isobel is different from you all.”
Upon hearing it, Hamish sneered. “Of course, she’s different. She’s just a nobody, but we are different.
I know it clearly and I’m sober, Freddie.” Freddie opened his mouth and couldn’t help but curse. “All
right. You’d better keep sober all the time. I hope you wouldn’t regret some day.”
“Regret?”
Hamish laughed as if Freddie was pulling his leg. “Now I regret I’ve asked her out back then.”
He used to think that she was different from other women, smart and sober. However, much to his
surprise, she couldn't live up to the conventional wisdom, which was really unfortunate.
Freddie was too angry that he smiled. “OK. Good for you! Keep being arrogant like this!”
“Bang!” Freddie slammed the door of his car closed. Seeing Yasmin had already fastened the safe belt,
he reminded her to sit still. Then he stepped on the accelerator and drove towards the street.
“Hamish Francis is so fucking stupid!”
Yasmin couldn’t help cursing. Freddie turned to look at her. “Baby, you are right. He’s so fucking
stupid!” he echoed.
They both became speechless towards Hamish. However, the most important thing right then was to
rescue Isobel. Hence, they didn’t have time and energy to care about anything else.
