Chapter 28: Brag Again
Chapter 28: Brag Again
Leila stared at Maxwell. She was surprised! Maxwell's words sounded like a fantasy, but it was like a
bolt from the blue for Leila! It destroyed Leila's confidence!
Leila looked at the layout drawing and felt shocked. He was right. It was reasonable. From the
directions he had mentioned, there were problems with her arrangement.
If the killers sneaked in from the directions he had mentioned, her bodyguards would not detect them!
The killers would enter the villa easily. All her arrangements would be useless!
Leila was astonished. She looked at Maxwell who was indifferent. She stopped looking down upon him
anymore, but with a serious expression.
In China, she possessed special professional knowledge. It was easy for her to design the layout for
such a villa, but Maxwell could tell the flaw at once.
How could she underestimate him? In China, few people could tell the flaw at first sight!
"How do you know that?" Leila asked in a deep voice.
"It's simple. I spot them immediately," Maxwell smiled faintly.
"Immediately?" Leila was surprised. Noticing that Maxwell was arrogant, she bit her red lips tightly and
felt disgusted.
He was too arrogant!
Leila snorted coldly and didn't take Maxwell seriously. She thought about it. If he could notice the flaw
at once, why was he willing to stay by Greta's side?

Leila kept probing Maxwell, but she couldn't tell his true color.
"What's the matter?" Greta wore a dress, came over elegantly, and sat beside Leila.
"Ms. Greta, I'm discussing with Mr. Maxwell about the locations of the bodyguards," Leila said.
Greta was surprised. She looked at Maxwell with disdain and said, "You don’t have to discuss with him.
He doesn't know anything about that."
Maxwell smiled and added, "She is right. I don't know about that. Miss Leila, just neglect my opinion."
Leila looked at Maxwell meaningfully and put the layout drawing away.
Greta glanced at Maxwell with disgust. He didn't have any dignity and integrity as a man. How did she
manage to live with him for three months?
Leila stood up and said, "Ms. Greta, I have to adjust the locations of the bodyguards."
"OK," Greta nodded and sat on the sofa.
Maxwell stared at Leila's back meaningfully. Leila's footsteps were regular. The distance between each
step was similar. Every movement was standard. She wasn't undisciplined as ordinary people. He
knew she had joined the army.
What Maxwell didn't tell Leila was that 30 people would be enough if he arranged their positions. Many
of the 50 people that Leila needed were wasted in useless positions.
Greta crossed her arms over her chest and asked coldly, "Why did you have a fight with them? I had to
bail you out."
Maxwell poured a cup of tea for Greta gallantly and said bitterly, "Ms. Greta, I didn't hit them. They are
strong, how can I beat them?"
Greta thought about it carefully. That was true. In the past few assassinations, he ran faster than a
rabbit. He didn't have the courage to fight with anyone.
"If you break the law, you deal with it by yourself. Don't ask me to bail you out," Greta said coldly. She
rushed to the police station today and many police officers were astonished. Fortunately, there were no
the media companies near the police station. Otherwise, if they knew that, she would be the trending
topic tomorrow morning!
She took risked for him! It was because he had a fight with others!
"Ms. Greta, don't worry. I won't be arrested by the police," Maxwell smiled embarrassedly and patted
his chest.
After a while, Harriet walked down from upstairs and sat beside Greta.
It was late at night. No one knew if Harriet did it on purpose or not. She wore a translucent black
pajama. Maxwell saw her figure through the pajama. Harriet was well proportioned. She had plump
breasts, flawless long legs and exquisite face. She was so charming. Although Maxwell had met
countless women overseas, she turned him on.
Harriet was perfect. She was the top-grade among the young women!
Greta glanced at Harriet and said, "Why are you so sexy?"
"It's none of your business. It isn't for you. Your home is my home. I don't wear anything in my own
home." Harriet glanced at Greta.
"There's an outsider at home. Behave well," Greta said coldly.
"An outsider? Who is the outsider?" Harriet smiled and asked.
"Who else can it be? He's the only man." Greta glanced at Maxwell who was doing housework not far
away and lowered her voice.
"He's your husband," Harriet smiled. But Greta snorted and explained, "When I'm in danger, he always
runs away. How can he be my husband?"
Harriet stared at Maxwell and spoke meaningfully, "I feel that he is quite good. He is much more real
than the so-called hypocritical gentlemen wearing false masks."
Suddenly, Greta groaned, frowned, and covered her lower abdomen. She felt painful.
Harriet was shocked and she asked worriedly, "What's the matter?"
"I don't know, but it hurts sometimes." Greta shook her head. She had seen a doctor, but the doctor
couldn't identify the cause.
Leila walked in. Noticing that Greta felt painful, she asked with concern, "Ms. Greta, can I have a look?"
"OK."
Leila reached out and touched Greta's delicate body gently. Leila pressed on an acupuncture point in
Greta's lower abdomen. Greta frowned again and bit her red lips.
"This is the place. It hurts sometimes," Greta said.
Leila withdrew her hand and said with a frown, "Ms. Greta, this is not an illness. This is an internal
injury. Neither Western medicine nor Chinese medicine can cure it. The cause of the injury is irregular
diet and the cold."
"An internal injury? That shouldn't be serious, right?" Harriet asked.
"It's not serious, but it will affect Ms. Greta's immune system as time goes on. Many people are usually
in good health, but they have a serious illness suddenly and they are unable to recover," Leila
explained. Greta and Harriet listened carefully as if they were deep in thought.
"Is there no way to treat Greta's hidden injury?" Harriet was worried.
"Yes," Leila replied. She was about to say that there was a method that could cure internal injuries in
China, but it had been lost, so she did not say it.
"Ms. Greta, I have a way to alleviate the injury." Maxwell appeared suddenly. Greta and Harriet didn't
notice him.
Greta glanced at Maxwell with surprise.
Leila looked at Maxwell and didn't say anything.
Maxwell smiled embarrassingly, "I used to learn massage from an old master in a massage parlor.
Massage can relax the body and relieve the pain. The effect is satisfactory. Ms. Greta, although I can't
guarantee that massage will cure your injury, it can reduce the pain."
Leila sneered.
She had suspected that Maxwell was the mastermind who assassinated Greta, but now she no longer
suspected him.
There were many rumors that the massage techniques could cure many illnesses, but Leila knew that
many of the rumors were started by massage parlors and bath centers in order to attract the customers
and earn money.
The massage technique had no healing effect.
Maxwell was bragging!
