Chapter 195 Street Vendor?
Chapter 195 Street Vendor?
James went to the meeting, and Kara calmed herself down in the office alone for a long time before the
temperature on her face lowered.
Suddenly, she heard a knock on the door and was surprised for a few seconds. Then she walked to the
door and opened the door slightly.
A woman was standing outside. Kara had seen her at the police station that day.
Jenny was surprised to see the woman's face.
It turned out to be James' nominal fiancée!
"It's like this. Mr. James is in a meeting. I need to get a document."
When Kara heard that Jenny address James this way, she felt slightly strange.
She was an employee here, which meant this woman got along with James every day.
She pursed her pink lips and remembered that Nolan was the assistant. If James had any important
documents to get and asked this woman to come over, it meant this woman was in a privileged
position.
"Sorry, you can't enter." Kara refused.
Jenny stared at her in surprise. With her tender little face, Kara looked like a junior high school student.
But this woman had a mind of her own and was especially good at scheming.
Now she was favored by James. No wonder she would be self-willed.
"Miss Kara, I'm sorry. This is SA Group. I'm here to work. Please let me do my work."
Kara opened the door but stretched out to block the way, a faint smile on her face.
"I'm sorry, this is James' office. You can't enter without his permission. You said you were here for
documents. This kind of work should be done by a special assistant, right?"
Jenny's face was a little unnatural. It was just an excuse. She just wanted to see who the woman inside
James' office was.
"Yes, it was originally like this, but they're in a meeting now. That document is very important. I need to
take it." Jenny tried to find an excuse.
Kara looked at the smile on her face all the time and remembered that when she went to her father's
company before, there was always a lot of staff who smiled at her like this.
Once, she was drinking water in the break room, she heard those who usually smiled at her talk about
her privately, and even secretly scold her mother.
When Kara thought of the past, she became more guarded against Jenny.
Perhaps it was a woman's nature. She felt hostility towards Jenny when she looked at her.
She wondered this woman's real purpose was to test her.
Since she was here, how could Kara let go of such an opportunity?
So she refused without thinking.
"Then, the document you want to take is very, very important. Do you have to take it away at this
moment?"
"Of course," Jenny replied coldly.
"You are lying!"
"If it is a very, very important document, it is impossible for you to come alone. If you are from the
secretarial department, it must be two together, right?"
Kara remembered that her father once told her that two employees needed to supervise each other
together if they were asked to fetch an important document.
Although she did not understand the work procedures of SA Group, she noticed a flash of guilt in
Jenny's eyes. That was why she dared to deny Jenny.
"Miss Kara, this is SA Group, a place for work, not a place for you to mess around." Jenny was a little
angry at her words.
"Miss, this is James' office. I don't care who has opened this door. If you must take that document, I
can't stop you."
Kara took two steps back and said frankly.
Hearing this, Jenny felt a bit awkward. Should she enter?
Who knew if this woman was waiting for her to make mistakes?
"Jenny, why have you been standing outside the door?"
Jenny turned around and saw Emily walking towards her. A scheming idea came to her mind.
"Miss Emily, I was going to get the documents, but Miss Kara refused to let me in."
When Emily came closer and saw Kara, her face immediately sank and she glanced at Kara sinisterly.
"What, you don't know how to get out of the way when you see your elders? Are you going to stop me
outside?"
Kara was surprised to see Emily coming over.
But Emily was older than her. She had to show her respect.
"Aunt Emily, this is James' office. Without his permission, I really wouldn't dare to let other's enter.
"Funny, what an excuse. Then how did you get in?" Emily mocked.
She didn't expect this woman to show off in the company and even dare to stop her.
Thinking of the purpose of her coming here today, Emily felt a surge of anger in her heart, and a trace
of malice flashed in her eyes.
Kara felt helpless and felt that if she reasoned with Emily at this time, she would be asking for it.
"Aunt Emily, please come in."
Emily sneered in disdain and brought Jenny into the office.
She walked to the sofa and saw Kara standing there in a daze. Her little face was so tender that it Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.
made people jealous. Her red eyes were even more obvious under her white skin.
It was obvious that she had just cried.
Coming to SA Group to complain tearfully to James. This woman was really deep in thought.
"What, shouldn't you serve tea?"
Kara choked. Jenny enjoyed seeing Kara's embarrassment. Kara took a deep breath and went to make
tea for Emily.
She was not very familiar with James' office, and she did not know where the tea was. She searched
for a long time before finding them.
The tool for making tea was different from the kettle she used often. This was the first time she had
used it.
She was not familiar with the operation when boiling the water. She was scalded when she touched the
kettle. She let out a low cry.
She looked down and saw that her fingers were red. She bit her fingers and frowned.
Jenny looked at her stupid appearance and sneered disdainfully.
This woman didn't even know how to brew tea. Other than her face, she was really useless!
"Really stupid." Emily stared at her with a cold look of disdain.
Emily's office also had a set of tools for making tea. Jenny also knew how to operate it. However, the
two just watched, not saying a word to help Kara.
It was clear they wanted to see Kara make a fool of herself. Kara was helpless and did not dare to
touch the kettle.
"Since you are married James, you should understand these things. Look at yourself. Mind your
manner! Girls from the lower class are always like you?"
Emily glanced at Kara. The more she looked, the more dissatisfied she became. Her face was full of
contempt.
Kara pursed her lips, feeling uneasy as she slowly stood up.
"Also, look at your clothes. It is a limited edition. But you degraded its grace! It is now like something
sold on the street vendor."
Emily felt this woman was not pleasing to the eye at all. Her gaze fell on Kara's hair and she wanted to
ridicule Kara even more.
"You are engaged. Why do you still have such a childish hairstyle? Your braids are ugly and you're
clumsy."
Kara suppressed her anger. The corners of her mouth slightly curved, revealing her sweet smile.
"Thank you for your comments, Auntie. I bear it on my mind."
However, her smile hurt the two women standing next to her. They only wanted to cut her face with a
knife to vent their anger.
