Cole had the nurse help Faith into a wheelchair, preparing to take her outside for some fresh air when the Moore family arrived.

Upon seeing them, he wasn't surprised, though he hadn't expected them to come so early.

This time, however, there were only a few of them-Dennis, Moses, and two bodyguards.

Dennis always valued his safety, bringing bodyguards with him wherever he went.

His gaze swept across the hospital room before finally landing on Faith. "Why are only the two of you here? Where's Kieran?"

The displeasure in his eyes was obvious. This useless daughter of his couldn't even keep a man by her side. He should've just sent her to learn how to please a man instead of how to manage a company.

Faith understood his thoughts but remained unfazed. She responded calmly, "Mr. Morgan is busy."

Dennis' dissatisfaction grew. "What could possibly be more important than his savior? Doesn't the Morgan family pride themselves on gratitude? Where's that gratitude now that it's come to you?"

Though his words were directed at Faith, it was clear to everyone that they were actually meant for Cole.

Faith lowered her gaze and let out a mocking laugh. "Didn't Mr. Morgan already assign his personal assistant to take care of me? Or do you expect him to personally tend to me?

"Dad, do you think too highly of yourself, or of me? What right does our family even have to deserve even a glance from the mighty president of Morgan Group?

"What have we ever given the Morgan family over the years? Did we rush to their rescue when Morgan Group was in crisis? If we've done nothing, what makes you think you can establish a relationship with Mr. Morgan?"

The mockery in Faith's eyes was glaring. She was practically stepping all over Dennis' dignity.

Dennis raised his hand, intending to teach her a lesson, but Cole stopped him.

"Do you have the right to interfere in me disciplining my own daughter?"

Cole chuckled. "Of course not. But Ms. Moore is now a valued guest of Mr. Morgan. As a member of Morgan Group, I can't just stand by and watch her be bullied, can I, Mr. Moore?"

Dennis glared coldly at him. "How dare you..."
