Chapter 172
"Are they gone?" Analise questioned.
She stood dumbfounded for a long while and realized there was nothing but silence.
"With the main god around, we should be able to capture Ophir this time," Echo responded.
Young Gideon coughed a little due to the pain in his body.
"Gideon!" Analise immediately crouched beside him. "How are you feeling?"
"It hurts a bit," he answered softly, suppressing the searing pain in his body as he didn't want Analise to worry.
"Echo, can the medicine from the Reward Store heal Gideon's injury from Ophir's attack?" Analise asked in her mind.
"Yes, Analise. The Detox Pill can cure all poisons. Gideon seems to have been poisoned by Ophir. If the poison isn't treated in time, he might soon fall into insanity."
Without hesitation, Analise redeemed the Detox Pill and shoved it into Gideon's mouth.
Young Gideon instinctively turned his head away, reluctant to take the pill that was near his lips.
"Trust me, Gideon. I won't hurt you." Analise gently held his chin and pushed the pill into his mouth.
The pill melted instantly. Young Gideon's gaze fell on Analise's fingertips.
Those pale fingers had touched his lips just now. The pain in his body began to subside, and a strange warmth flowed through his body, seemingly even healing some old, lingering injuries.
"I'm sorry about your house. It's gone."
Analise helped Gideon to his feet and looked at the ruins before them, which resembled a landfill. For a moment, she felt bad for him.
"Where will you live now?" Analise thought perhaps she could delay asking Echo to teleport her back, at least until she found Gideon a proper place to stay.
Young Gideon sighed.
"How about I find a place for you?" Analise wasn't sure if her Cosmocoins would work in this world, but they probably would since they weren't physical bills.
She hadn't spent any of her one million Cosmocoins this month. It should be more than enough to buy Gideon a house.
"It's fine." Young Gideon flashed a
rare smile. "I'm just running my
research from here. I have a bl
do you want to see it?"
"Sure."
After the two left the garbage dump, young Gideon called up someone on the interface. Soon, a car arrived to pick him up.
At that moment, Analise was still in a bit of a daze. She glanced uncertainly at young Gideon.
When the car arrived at a mountainside villa, Analise realized she had been overthinking.
Gideon was clearly rich! So, why was he holed up in a garbage dump, doing research at his age?
She had her suspicions. After all, one had to be raised in the right environment to carry such poise.
Even the slightly scruffy adult Gideon she first met at Shadowhawk Alliance still carried that air of nobility.
"Hi, Mr. Clarke," an elderly male
butler greeted Gideon politely. Then,noveldrama
he glanced at Analise with slight surprise. "Is this your friend, Mr. Clarke?"
"Mm."
Young Gideon nodded coolly and led Analise into the villa.
"If you're from a well-off family, why did you let those kids bully you?" Analise couldn't quite understand.
Gideon looked slightly uneasy. "I'm up against many of them."
Something about this felt off to Analise, but she didn't prod further.
"Since you have a place to stay, I'll be leaving now." Analise finally felt at ease.
"Are you leaving?" Young Gideon tensed up instantly.
"Yeah.

"Can you leave later?" Young Gideon hoped she would keep him company a little
longer. "I don't even know your name yet."
"It's Analise Chamber." She smiled, realizing she had indeed forgotten to introduce herself.
"Analise..." young Gideon murmured the name softly to himself.
What do you think?
