The Kiss that Sparked it All

Chapter 2925

Facing away from Madeline, he naturally couldn’t see the smug smile that appeared on her face.

It seemed like Domingo had chosen his help more carefully this time, managing to whisk the person away so swiftly and efficiently.

However, her words still conveyed concern for Regina. “Did you call the cops?”

Francis, still irritable, waved her off. “Enough, let’s head back. Standing here isn’t going to bring Regina back. Nolan’s already sent people to look for her. I don’t know if he’s called the police or not. What if reporting it puts Regina in even more danger?”

Madeline nodded in agreement. “You’re right, Dad. Let’s go back. Mom must be worried sick at home.”

Mentioning Imogen reminded Francis that she was pregnant. He was eager to leave; his daughter had been taken, and who knew if they were targeting the Tanner family?

“Alright, no need for you to worry about this anymore. Let’s head home.”

As soon as they drove back, they saw Imogen, with her slightly protruding belly, anxiously looking out. Seeing them return, she rushed over.

“Are you all okay?”.

She glanced behind Madeline. “Where’s Regina? Did something really happen to her?”

Francis nodded gravely. “You and Madeline stay inside, don’t go out. We might be targeted. We still have no news about Regina. No one has approached us yet, so I’m n sure what’s happening.” Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

He frowned deeply.

“Did you call the police?” Like mother, like daughter; she asked the same question as Madeline.

Francis, frowning, admitted he didn’t know. “Anyway, she’s married off now. We’ll follow Nolan’s instructions. If something does happen, he can’t just turn around and blame us.”

Imogen was inwardly shocked; Francis seemed even more ruthless than she had expected. She had hoped she could gain more from the Harris family through Regina, but now that Regina was in trouble, Francis showed such indifference.

Even as a stepmother, Imogen felt his cold-heartedness.

“Isn’t that a bit too cold? After all, Regina disappeared on her way home. Have you thought about checking the surveillance footage? There might be some clues!”

Regardless of his demeanor as a father, she, at least as the stepmother, had to show

Some concern.

Madeline, afraid her mother might ruin her plans, quickly took her arm and gently pinched the inside of it.

“Mom, you’re pregnant. Don’t worry about these things. What if there’s a gory scene that affects you and the baby brother in your belly? Dad and Nolan are handling Regina’s situation. If they can’t find her, what help could you possibly be?”

Francis nodded in approval. “Exactly, listen to Madeline. Go rest. You two don’t need to worry about this. I’ll call Nolan and see what he’s planning.”

What was Nolan planning?

If Regina couldn’t be found, he’d surely drag the entire Tanner family down with him.

Regina had come back today to get more information about Domingo from Imogen. She was such a fool. She didn’t hesitate to walk through fire and water for the sake of uncovering the truth. She sacrificed so much for those people, but did they ever appreciate her efforts?

Despite detesting coming back to this house and dealing with their insincerity, she forced herself to report back three times a week.
