When David saw that Orion didn't believe him, he quickly explained, "I'm telling you the truth!"

But Orion waved him off. "Stop stirring up a fuss. I've got no time to waste with you. There's a very important customer I'm seeing today, so I've got no time to entertain you. Please leave."

While he spoke, Orion attempted to close the door. However, David quickly stopped him and said, "Don't be so quick to shut me down. I'm telling the truth! There's someone here with me who wants to offer a hundred grand to buy the stone tablet."

Immediately, Orion paused and looked at Matthew. After he sized him up a little, he casually said, "I think I'll pass if you can only offer a hundred grand for it."

He had intentionally used a disdainful tone when talking with Matthew, eyeing Matthew and hoping to see him get a little furious.

But Matthew kept a straight face and said, "I can pay more if the item holds years of age and is highly valuable."

Having heard that, Orion's eyes flashed with a hint of joy. Even if the customer he had came over to purchase the stone tablet, they might not be willing to purchase it at a higher price.

Orion had been thinking that he needed someone who was willing to purchase the item at a higher price, but seeing how simple Matthew was dressed, Orion didn't think he could pull off anything big.

Still, he held out hope and asked, "How much are you willing to give me?"

Matthew answered with a frown, "I can't determine the price when I haven't seen the item."

As such, Orion explained more to make sure Matthew was on the same page as he was. "The item is definitely valuable, but you might not actually be able to purchase it. Let's put it this way-you can just leave now if you don't have at least 500 grand in cash."

Before Matthew could reply, Orion made an exclamation in shock. He stared at Orion as if he had seen a ghost and said, "Y-You said that the stone tablet was only worth a few thousand dollars when I dug it up. How can you say that it's worth 500 thousand dollars now?"

Orion responded coldly, "You're merely a worker whom I asked to help move the stone tablet. Would you even understand if I explained it to you?"

David grew even more furious the more he thought of it. "When you asked me to dig it up back then, you said that it wasn't an antique, Orion. You also said that it was only worth a few thousand dollars.

"You told me that the stone tablet would turn into rubble if I didn't dig it up because Graceful Touch Church and the real estate company were planning to build a residential area there. That was the only reason I agreed to dig it up. noveldrama

it up and move it around for you?"

Orion sneered coldly at David, "Don't you think you're being really childish by asking this sort of question? You're already in your 40s or 50s, David."

At that, David roared out angrily, "I just want to know why you did it!"

Orion frowned at the volume of David's voice. Then, he looked around the area. Luckily, no one was passing by his villa.

Afterward, he replied in a deep voice, saying, "Let me give you an example, David. I'm a real estate developer, and I have a worker from the village named Ruel Somner, who keeps his money in the bank.

"I took a loan from the bank and

used the money he saved to buy land and develop real estate. Later on, he took out a loan to make the down payment to buy one of the houses because he thought the house was built in a good location.

"Afterward, he started working for me at the construction site. Now, do you understand why I'm telling you all this?"

David was muddled by his words, and he didn't understand anything, so he asked, "What are you talking about? What does that have to do with the stone tablet?"

Orion shook his head. He had

David still didn't understand what he
