Jennifer held Tessa's hand and gave Tessa a heads-up. "A rich lady visited. I've no idea what she's here for. How are you planning to talk to her like this?"

Tessa shrugged. "What's wrong with having a drink? I'm enjoying myself." After saying that, Tessa opened the door and stepped inside.

When Tessa spotted Tracy, she froze for a moment, then sarcastically started, "Aren't you the secretary working for Ms. Carter of Wealthwave Group? You're such a big deal, and it's not easy to get a moment with you. And now, you're showing up in person, huh?"

Tessa was still bitter about how Tracy had kept getting in her way when she tried to reveal Matthew's criminal history to Rachel in the past. She just had to let out all the frustration she'd been holding in.

Tracy looked at Tessa with disgust. She'd always looked down on Tessa for dumping a husband who had served time for her. She couldn't stand people like that.

But she couldn't care less about that anymore as she just wanted to break up Matthew and Rachel. "I want to talk to you about Matthew."

Hearing Matthew's name, Tessa sobered up a little. "What's the matter?"

Tracy coldly asked, "Don't you hate Matthew?"

Tessa's eyes darkened when she heard Matthew's name again. "Yeah, I hate him."

Tracy nodded. Things would be easier to proceed now that Tessa had admitted to that. She looked at Tessa with a smug expression and confidently stated, "I can create an opportunity for you to get your revenge."

Her plan for getting back at Matthew was simple. She'd slip him some aphrodisiacs and let Tessa make a move on him.

During their intimate moment, Tracy would take photos of it and show them to Rachel. After seeing the photos, Rachel would break up with Matthew, and Rachel would be hers again.

Tessa stared at Tracy's face for a long time, noticing how confident and proud Tracy looked. It reminded her of the times when Tracy kicked her out of Wealthwave Group.

A wave of hatred stirred up inside Tessa. "I hate Matthew, but I'll get him back myself. No need for you to worry about it."noveldrama

Tracy was about to share her plan, but she didn't expect to be turned down. Her confident expression turned awkward. "I came to help you. Why are you being so difficult?"

Tessa's anger flared up. "Know your place, Tracy. I was the president of a company. You're merely a secretary. Do you think I need a secretary to flatter me?"

Tracy mockingly grinned. With her company bankrupt, Tessa was drowning in debt, yet she still acted all high and mighty. "Think it over. If you don't have my help, you won't stand a chance against Matthew."

Why couldn't Tessa take Matthew on?

Tessa couldn't help but snicker. That might be true in the past, but things were different now as she had the exoskeleton. In a few days, it'd be ready to use and fully in syn@with her brain waves.

One punch would be all it took to knock Matthew out. Tessa didn't need help from the arrogant Tracy.

Tessa snapped, "Who do you think you are, Tracy? I can handle Matthew without you. Get lost!"

Tracy sat up straight with her chin slightly raised. Her gaze on Tessa seemed condescending. After all, she was convinced that she was smarter and more capable than Tessa.

She showed up to help Tessa but was floored when she was told to get lost. Her face flushed with anger. "Fine. If you're so impressive, then I'm outta here."

After saying that, she got up and left. There was no point in sticking around since they couldn't team up.

Tessa heard the sarcasm in Tracy's words and responded in surprise, "You're doubting me, aren't you? Just you wait. In five days, Matthew will be on his knees, begging me for forgiveness."
