The Great Medical Saint

Out of nowhere, a hand reached out and grabbed the saber by the handle. Matthew carried the saber and slowly made his way toward Anthony, who was on the ground. As Anthony held his stomach, his face contorted in pain. He slowly got to his feet with one hand on the ground.

Seeing Matthew approaching him, Anthony exclaimed, "What's your cultivation level? We're around the same age, so your cultivation can't be stronger than mine.

"I took my chance when your vision was obscured. How did you even get close enough to hit me?"

Matthew sneered. "All that showy nonsense. Against true power, your petty tricks are just begging for trouble."

As Matthew got closer, Anthony panicked and staggered backward. Just as he reached the fence, he swiftly jumped over it and ran a short distance before jumping into the Lambda River.

Holding his saber, Matthew gazed at the churning Lambda River but couldn't spot Anthony.

Matthew shook his head. Anthony had murdered Hayden but didn't get rid of the witnesses. With that, he was bound to be hunted down like a street rat.

Matthew looked at the survivors in the yard. "You all deserve to go. I'll send you all to join Hayden in the afterlife."

As he spoke, Matthew swung his saber and beheaded someone, sending the head flying. The saber cut through Matthew's opponent like a streak of light, and heads began falling to the ground one after another. When Matthew stopped in his tracks, he spotted Sara and Andrew not far away. "You two, get over here."

Sara was still in shock. Hayden had arranged a meeting with Matthew, but now that Hayden was dead, she was too frightened to say anything. Andrew forced himself to calm down and pointed at Hayden on the ground. "Hayden was the one wanting to see you. We were just the messengers." Wielding his saber, Matthew walked over and remarked, "I don't need to hear your business. Since you tried to kill me, prepare to die." Anthony dropped to his knees. "Please, don't kill us. You can't be this merciless. Think about what you did to Sara on the rooftop. Just let us go." Matthew scoffed. "I spanked your sister because she was causing trouble. She had it coming. Why should I let you two off the hook?" Spank? Andrew was taken aback. He even thought he had misheard it. "Didn't you rape Sara? How did it turn into just spanking her?" Sara added, "Stop spouting nonsense, Andrew! He only smacked me on the butt. There was nothing else to it."

Andrew looked disheartened when he realized that everything had been a misunderstanding.

Andrew was hoping to play on Matthew's guilt to beg for mercy, but now he had run out of excuses. His fate depended on his luck.

"Please spare our lives, Mr. Grant. I

don't want to die. I came to Lambda with Sara to find a miracle doctor for medical research. We've discovered a medicine that can extend our lifespan.

"If we get the miracle doctor on board, we might be able to develop a new drug that extends life by ten years. I'd be able to provide you with an unlimited supply of immortality medicine."

Matthew waved his hand dismissively. The idea of getting unlimited medicine didn't impress him. He knew the effect of these medicines wouldn't be compounded.

Taking one pill might add ten years

to his lifespan, but taking ten of them wouldn't add a century. Plus, developing a pill that would extend life by ten years was already incredibly hard.

Andrew's face turned pale with horror as he shouted, "Please don't kill me. I'm begging you. Sara is so pretty. If you like her, you can just take her away."
