The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage

Chapter 2623

While no one would miss those college students, Frank and the rangers could not allow their deaths to ruin Mount Statera's tourism industry either.

Otherwise, Frank would not have intervened earlier and would have let the wolves tear them to pieces.

To no surprise, the college students arrived at the foot of the mountain looking exhausted.

Seeing Frank and the rangers having a chuckle naturally sent them flying into a rage, and a girl even strode up to snap at Frank, "If you could fly, then why did you make us walk?! Don't you know how tiring that was?!"

Frank turned to leave, ignoring her-it would only leave a bad taste in his mouth to talk to people like her.

"Hey, I'm talking to you! Are you listening?!"

Still, the girl hounded Frank, but he kept ignoring her.

That was when the chief ranger did a head count, only to notice something amiss.

Four of the students were missing!

"Who's the leader here?" he asked. "Don't you know that there are four of you missing? Anything could happen up there! Don't joke around now-tell us where they are!"

"Bother someone else already," a boy snorted impatiently. "Do you have to bother us?

"Also, those four major in biology. It's the first time they've seen such unique wolves, so they wanted to capture one and bring it back for study."

The chief ranger bellowed, "Are you even listening to yourself?! We're talking about wolves here! Can you beat one when you can't even kill poultry?!"

The boy smirked. "Don't judge us with your ignorance! I don't mind giving it to you straight either-we were just too nervous before and forgot the rule that's ingrained in genetics: all living creatures fear fire!

"That's why those four went up with torches, so they'll be fine. Stop getting so paranoid, unless you want to jinx it for them!"

The chief ranger was simply not in the mood to respond, and he turned to Frank. "Kid, I wouldn't want to trouble you, but they're definitely in deep trouble. Please do me a favor, and bring them back.

"You can have them hung, drawn, and quartered as you like once you get them down here. Even so, they must not be allowed to die on the mountain."

Frank looked into the chief ranger's pleading stare and eventually nodded. "It's only for you. Make sure they understand that!"

Delighted, the chief ranger nodded repeatedly. "Thank you so much for this!"

However, that was when the girl who harassed Frank earlier strode in his way. "Don't bother! We don't need you!"

Frank merely sneered before vaulting into the distance.

The rangers were laughing at the college students right then.

"You kids really think you get to holler at him?"

"To be honest, if he wasn't that magnanimous, he would have killed you already!"

The girl rolled her eyes, folding her arms before her chest. "Him? You're kidding! I don't mind giving it to you straight-we're important people, and we could get all of you fired at any time!"

The rangers simply smirked.

"You brats are more naive than children! If we lose our jobs, so be it-what, are we going to starve to death when there are so many jobs out there waiting?" fo

"As for your friends... What are they going to do if they realize those animals aren't afraid of fire?"noveldrama

"Here's a tip-there are plenty of

tourists around during daytime, and fireworks are used to celebrate festivities from time to time. Even if animals fear fire, they'll get used to it in-time."

"When it comes down to it, your friends would end up as food!"

The college students traded glances-they really did not anticipate something like

that.

If those wolves had been dwelling on top of Mount Statera for a while, they might really grow accustomed to fire!
