The Girl With Lycan Blood

Chapter 7 Chapter 8

Chapter 8

I woke up in Tyler's room alone. I was a little disappointed; I wanted to wake up next to him. I shrugged

it off and pretended to get over it as I slipped out of his warm duvet. I went back to my room and took a

shower, even after the shower I still smelled like him, and I love it. I got dressed and went down stairs,

and the house was empty. Katy was at school. Tyler was working who knows where, and Jackson was

training. I ate break fast and decided to go for a run. I haven't let my wolf out in a while, and she was

starting to bother me. I walked through the field in front of the woods and into the tall trees. I was

getting ready to take off my clothes and shift, but I hear a noise behind me. I turn, but nothing is there.

I shrug it off and take off my shirt leaving me in my sweats and bra. As I reach for my pants I hear the

noise again, I grab my shirt and hold it against my chest.

"Hello?" I call out.

I get no response. I'm just going to come back later, I slip my shirt back on, covering my bare stomach

from the cool breeze.

crack

I turn to the noise but yet again nothing.

"Who's there? This isn't funny!" I yell into the trees.

"I think it is." Nôvel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.

I immediately spin around and come face to face with a man I have never seen before. I quickly back

away.

"What do you want?" I ask, my voice is shaky.

"Look I don't want to hurt you, all I need is for you to come with me." He orders.

I shake my head and start sprinting the way back to the pack house, I look back and see him chasing

after me in wolf form. Crap! I get ready to shift, but nothing happens. I try again as I doge trees and

boulders, but still nothing.

I look back, and he's still chasing me. Where's everyone when I need them! I would fight him, but I can't

shift.

When I look back in front of me, I trip over a fallen trees branch and hit the hard forest floor. I quickly

struggle trying to get up but his wolf steps on my back pushing me back on the ground.

"Help! Help please!" I scream, trapped under his heavy paw.

All of the sudden another wolves appears out of the trees. He shakes his head and motions for them to

go with him. He lifts his paw off my back and growls in my face. My heart racing, I stand up and run

back to the pack house.

I swing open the door and slam it behind me; I make sure to lock both of the locks. Breathing heavy I

turn and see Katy sitting on the couch eating popcorn; she's facing me with wide eyes as a piece of

popcorn falls from her mouth.

"Anna what happened!" She screams. She dropped her popcorn and rushed towards me.

"I went for a run-"

"You went for a what! Are you crazy!" Katy waves her hands frantically.

"I don't get it? What's wrong with that?" I breathe out still trying to catch my breath.

"You don't go out in the woods for anything alone!"

"But you went for a run yesterday alone!" I protest.

"Ya but I'm Katy, an average eighteen-year-old werewolf. You're Annalee, Nineteen-year-old werewolf

being hunted down by scary rouges!" Katy explains.

I guess I didn't think about that; I didn't think that this whole situation would mean little stuff like that

would change. I can't even go for a run alone.

"I forgot." I lie.

"You forgot! How the hell do you forget-"

"Okay, I get it!" I yell at Katy. "Don't you want to know what happened!"

She nods and leads me to the comfy couches.

"Okay, I went for a run, and some stranger showed up, and he told me to go with him. I obviously didn't

so I ran, and he chased me. He trapped me but when another wolf showed up and gave him a signal

he growled and left."

"Why didn't you shift?" Katy asked.

"I couldn't."

Before we could continue the front door swings open and Tyler walks in the house.

He immediately turns to us, and his eyes go dark.

"Who were you with Anna? I can smell it on you." He walks up to us.

That was fast.

"I went for a run, and another she-wolf showed up, I guess her scent got on me." I lie again.

"Anna don't lie to me." He says seriously.

"What are you talking about I'm not-"

"I can smell another male on you." He cuts me off.

"I'm going to go." Katy gets up and goes to the kitchen.

I slowly turn back to Tyler, he has his arms crossed over his chest and a serious look on his face.

"Anna who were you with?" He asks slowly and impatiently.

"I was... running... in the woods." I smile, he can obviously tell I'm bending the truth.

"With?"

"Myself."

"Anna you went alone!" He bursts.

I look down at my hands resting on my lap. "Yeah, but I'm fine." My voice cracks.

His face softens, and he sits beside me on the couch.

"What happened?" He asks.

I take a deep breath. "A man was chasing me, and I didn't know what to do," I explain as tears threaten

to fall.

I could have died, how could I have been so stupid to have thought I could be a rouge. I wouldn't last a

week. Why does life have to be so messed up sometimes, it's so unfair. All I want to do is disappear

and never come back to any of this drama.

"Anna you could have been killed, hurt, he could have..." He yells. "How could you have been so

clueless!"

I keep looking down at my fingers as they lightly tap on my thigh. All I seem to do is make mistakes.

"I Annalee Evens... reject-"

"Stop."

"It's what you wanted-"

"It's what I thought was right." Tyler cuts me off.

I glance up at Tyler as a single tear slips from my eye. He whips the tear off my cheek and looks into

my eyes.

"Anna, you're so beautiful," Tyler whispers.

"Why do you keep saying that?" I mutter.

"Because it's true." He says as his hand cradles my cheek.

"Tyler I'm scared, what if they get me?"

"I promise, they never will."

We sat on the couch looking into each other's eyes, I've never felt safer. All I can do now is hope this

never ends.

"Anna it's getting late, you should go to bed," Tyler suggests.

I stand up from the couch and turn to the stairs.

"You should too," I call to him before going up to my room.

I walk to my bed and jump on to it, landing on my back. Does this mean something, what just

happened? Are we a couple or something. Did Tyler accept that I'm his mate and that he wants to be

with me?

I'm acting like a fourteen-year-old girl.

I walk to my closet and change into a pair of pajama shorts and a t-shirt. After I brush my teeth and

other stuff, I slip in between the warm covers and try to sleep. But I don't. Too many thoughts are

running through my head. I even keep looking at the window; I'm scared someone is going to climb

through and kidnap me in my sleep. I'm acting ridiculous!

For the next two hours, I tossed and turned on the bed praying I would go to sleep. I turn towards the

door, oh my god.

Tyler is standing in the door frame with bags under his eyes. I guess dreams do come true.

"I know you can't sleep." Tyler sighs.

I don't say anything.

"Come on." Tyler motions for me to go with him.

I nod and pull the covers from my body. I get up and follow him to his room. I run to his bed and jump

on it; I pull the soft blankets over my body. I hear Tyler chuckle.

The bed dips down, and Tyler's heavy, strong, perfect arm pulls me into him. Let's just say I fell asleep.
