Chapter 2: The Boldest Moment 2
“It’s a slap on the face that we both deserve??.”
That was the only thing Octavia Gills said as she walked out of the room where they had spent the night together.
“Oh??at??eh, well, see you at twelve then!”
After hanging up, Tredan gets caught up in inexplicable thoughts and memories??
The handprint on his face stung with a burning pain, and his dark, dark eyes were fixed on the particularly blinding smear of blood on the sofa. Tredan, who had always been cold and indifferent, was now touched deep inside by a small ripple that he himself could not explain, could not say??.
It was drizzling and the grey sky was filled with melancholy, and Octavia Gills, who had fled the hotel in such a desperate state, was helpless as a child, letting the relentless rain fall on her face and body, her humiliation pounding on her pride, her tears flowing down her face, her heart in agony. The Octavia Gills who had been so strong all along, is now seemingly broken and at a loss for words!
At this moment she needed her only best friend, Domino, who understands the love she has buried deep in her heart, and only Domino understands that Octavia Gills knows that she is a moth that has lost its reason in front of Tredan. Even though he does not remember her, she still dives into the merciless fire of Tredan, even if it means throwing her bones into the ground.
Suddenly, as if she found a gap with oxygen when she was suffocating from the lack of it, Octavia Gills searched for her phone in a panic and pulled it out only to find that Domino, who had accompanied her to this annual meeting last night, had made countless phone calls and sent herself numerous Facebook messages.
“Octavia, where are you? I’ve been looking for you all night? What’s happened? Are you okay?” When she returned Domino’s call, and without waiting for Octavia Gills to speak, Domino’s anxious voice came through.
The familiar, warm voice brought a warmth to Octavia Gills’ cold heart and she couldn’t help but let out a cry, “Come on you??Domino??.”
Domino rushed over to see Octavia Gills curled up on a park bench, her eyes staring blankly into the distance. He had never seen Octavia Gills so sad and empty in all the time he had known her, and his heart went out to Octavia Gills, Domino stomped his feet in anxiety and said, “Octavia, what’s wrong with you? Did someone bully you? Who’s the bastard? Who’s the son of a bitch?”
Octavia Gills kept quiet and shook her head desperately, hanging on to Domino with tears on both cheeks.
Domino quickly took off his black jacket and put it on Octavia Gills, who was trembling all over with her lips slightly pale.
Although Octavia Gills did not say a word, nor did she tell him what had happened last night, Domino knew Octavia Gills too well to guess that she must have met Tredan, whom she had loved for twenty years, at Group Davi’s Christmas party last night. What had happened between them last night to make Octavia Gills, who had always been calm and sensible, so upset and uncomfortable, Domino could only speculate.
“Octavia, come on, you are really strong, there is nothing or no hurdle we can’t get through, come back with me to my flat, have a shower and something to eat, then I’ll take you to a nice place this evening, have a drink to shake off this thing and wake up to another great day!”
After Octavia Gills had finished her bath, Domino had prepared a tight white dress for Octavia Gills, which hugged Octavia Gills’ figure tightly, revealing her golden proportioned figure. She is like a delicate porcelain doll that one wants to take care of for fear that it will break if one is not careful!ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .
Under the dim and disorienting lights, the distant music, the magnificent stage is always floating with a beautiful dancers that make countless men scream and go crazy. Many red men and green women under the stage twist their bodies wildly to the mind-blowing music, and sometimes break their voices and scream like chrysalises emerging from their cocoons, the whole atmosphere is so decadent, frivolous and seductive.
In a luxurious VIP area, there is a handsome man with a face similar to Tredan’s. His face is like jade, but his eyes are more tender and affectionate than Tredan’s. This man is sitting in the middle of a sofa, surrounded by fully made-up sexy women with waist-length hair, serving him drinks making him look like a suave prince of flowers.
Domino brought Octavia Gills into one of the most famous bars in the city and led her into a quieter corner where Octavia Gills, who normally doesn’t drink, coughed as she took a drink of the choking cocktail Domino had ordered for her.
“Ha ha, look at what happens when you don’t normally drink. Here’s a fruity cocktail for you, It will help you to sleep well.” Domino said, mocking Octavia Gills, who had been cringing her face while she drank the cocktail.
He snapped his fingers and a fancy bartendercame to him, “Get my good sister a nice strong drink without the aftertaste, like fruit wine!”
“Yes!” Before the words were out of his mouth he took the bottle of mixer in his hand and shook and tossed it up at times.
A yellow glass, a red glass, a green glass and a blue glass was placed in front of Octavia Gills, “Drink up, after these you can go home and get a good night’s sleep.”
Really, Octavia Gills looked half-heartedly at Domino, then at the bartender, “Will it still make me choke?”
Domino shook his head seriously at Octavia Gills and said, “Just relax and drink it!” Picking up the red glass, Octavia Gills took a sip and was surprised that it didn’t taste as bad as the first glass. It didn’t take long for the alcohol affect Octavia Gills, and as she began to feel drunk, she became disoriented, staggering and tugging at Domino to tell him her grievances and bitterness.
“Why? Why are you so cruel to me? Do you really not remember those days at all? Even if we were young then??Why do you do this to me? Why?”
“Octavia, there are many good fish in the ocean, why single out this heartless fish. You are so kind, so gentle and considerate, the ideal companion for all discerning men, let’s not be sad today! Believe me, you deserve a better person to love and cherish!” Domino, who was drinking with her, also began to get slightly drunk.
“Octavia, I’m going to the restroom, you just sit here and wait for me, don’t wander off, okay? I’ll be back soon, don’t wander off!” Domino, eager to relieve himself, nimbly skirted the frantically wreathing crowd on the dance floor and quickly disappeared from Octavia Gills’ disoriented view.
Octavia Gills, her face red and tear-stained like a wounded angel, was sprawled out on the table in a daze, drawing attention to herself. Not far away, two landlubbers were staring at Octavia Gills’ hot body, a drunken and unsuspecting Octavia Gills, unaware that the man with a tattoo on his arm was lustfully staring at her unusually long white legs. He took three steps closer to Octavia Gills, who was sprawled out on the table, alone.
