The ceo’s secretary

Chapter 31

Jason dropped me off at my sister’s house as early as five on Tuesday morning, and I could already sense her pain before I even entered the house. I knocked on the door for almost five minutes before I finally heard her footsteps. When she opened the door, her eyes were red from sleep, or maybe from crying.

She stared at me for a moment, rubbing her face twice before quietly saying my name, “Lexi.”

Her voice cracked, and she seemed to age ten years in that instant. “Lexi, is that you?”

“Yes,” I replied softly.

“My Lexi? Are you my Lexi?”

“Yes, sis. It’s me.”

“My Lexi,” she cried, pulling me into a tight hug. “My Lexi,” she sobbed louder.

“Sis,” I whispered.

“Why, Lexi? Why?” she said between tears.

“I’m sorry,” I said, my voice choked with emotion.

“You left without even thinking of me,” she sobbed.

“I’m sorry,” I repeated.

She released me from her hug and started looking me over, as if checking for anything amiss.

“The real you?” she asked.

“Yes, the real me.”

“But you’re fatter,” she observed, her eyes widening with surprise.

“That’s because you’re going to be an aunt soon,” I said, bracing for her reaction.

“You’re pregnant?” she asked, her face lighting up with joy.

“Yeah, I’m pregnant, and you’re going to be an aunt soon.”

“Congratulations!” she exclaimed, hugging me again. “And who is the father?”

“Jason,” I said.

She gave me a skeptical look, and I responded with a reassuring nod.

“It’s true,” I insisted.

Her expression softened, and she pulled me into another hug, this time filled with relief and happiness.

Jason came for me around two that afternoon, and I could see how reluctant Judith was to let me go. Her eyes were filled with worry as she held onto me for just a moment longer.

“We’re going to the hospital,” Jason said as he started the car.

“Hospital? For what?” I asked, feeling a pang of exhaustion.

“For your antenatal registration,” he replied firmly.

“But we can do that tomorrow,” I protested, hoping for some rest.

“We’re doing it today,” Jason insisted, his voice leaving no room for negotiation.

“I’m pretty tired; we can just do it tomorrow,” I tried again, my voice softer.

“I’m not taking any risks,” he said, his tone resolute.

“It’s not as if I will be giving birth tomorrow,” I pointed out, trying to make him see reason.

“We’re doing it today. I want to be sure if it’s really safe to worship in your temple,” he said with a half-smile, attempting to lighten the mood.

“It’s not as if you would stop even if the doctor says it’s risky,” I countered, my frustration mingling with affection.

“I will do anything to protect you and my baby,” Jason replied, his voice filled with unwavering determination and love.

I sighed, feeling a mixture of frustration and gratitude. “Okay, let’s go,” I said softly, realizing just how much he cared and feeling the weight of his concern.

As we drove to the hospital, I felt a sense of relief wash over me, knowing that despite everything, Jason was determined to be there for me and our baby.

Thankfully, the doctor said there was no risk in us having sex, and I could already feel Jason’s cock becoming hard even though we were still in the doctor’s office.

Later that day, we were sitting in the living room after another round of sex, which had taken place on the island table in the kitchen. The intimacy left us both glowing with a sense of closeness and satisfaction. As we were enjoying the peaceful moment, someone rang the doorbell.

I tried to get up, but Jason stopped me, rising instead to answer it himself. Moments later, he returned with a tall, huge, fully tattooed man following him. I couldn’t help but wonder what business Jason had with this imposing figure.

“Love,” Jason called me as he came to sit by my side, the huge man taking a seat on a couch across from us. “This is Tanner. He’s going to be your driver and bodyguard from now on.”

“My bodyguard?” I asked incredulously.

“Yeah, I need to keep you safe at all times,” Jason replied, his tone serious.

“Hi, nice meeting you,” I said, forcing a smile onto my face. “I’m Lexi.”

“Nice meeting you, ma’am,” Tanner responded politely.

“He will be staying in the building at the back,” Jason added.

“Okay,” I replied, still processing the sudden change.

As Tanner excused himself to settle into his new quarters, I turned to Jason. “Is this really necessary?”

Jason took my hands in his, his eyes filled with a mix of love and determination. “I want to make sure you and our baby are safe, always. I can’t take any chances.”

“You don’t have the right to make decisions for me without my consent” I said angrily.

“What do you mean? I’m trying to keep you safe,” Jason replied, his frustration evident.

“Without my consent?” I repeated, my voice rising.

“When it comes to you, l own you. So, I don’t need your consent before doing what I think is right for you,” he said, his tone firm.

“T’m not your property, I’m not a thing” I retorted, getting up angrily and heading towards the bedroom. “I have the right to know before you do things for me.”

“Dixie would be praising me instead” he muttered.

I stopped in my tra cks, turning on my heel to face him with the most devilish stare I could muster. “I’m not your ex, and you don’t expect me to act like her. If you want her back, you know the way,” I snapped and stormed out of the living room.Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

“That’s not what I meant” Jason called after me, running to catch up.

“I don’t care what you mean at this moment,” | said from the bedroom, slamming the door before he could come in.

“Lexi! Lexi’ he pleaded, knocking on the door. “Lexi, open the door. That was not what I meant.”

“You know how to get to her, go meet her. I’m sure she will be praising you when she sees you’ I shot back, my anger still burning.

“I’m sorry, Lexi. That was not what I meant,” he insisted.

“I don’t want to see your face now, so, leave!” I yelled, my voice breaking.

“Im sorry,” he repeated, his voice muffled by the door.

“Just leave,” I said, my resolve firm. When the knocking stopped, I went to the bed and laid down, my mind racing with frustration and hurt

———————————————————————————————————————–

Something was vibrating inside my leg, and that was what woke me up. Sluggishly, I traced it with my hand and realized it was coming from my trouser pocket. I fished out the source of the vibration and saw that it was my old phone, the one my sister had given back to me. A message from Cynthia had woken me up.

‘For real? Judith just texted me now, she said you came back. I would have called but I can’t now. We will talk tomorrow and you better have a good reason for running away. Love you, from your forgotten best friend, Cynthia.’

I put the phone down and looked at Jason’s side of the bed, which was empty. The events of the evening flooded back to me. I picked up my phone again and checked the time: 1:52 a. m. The house was eerily quiet, and a sense of loneliness washed over me.

I wondered where Jason was.

“Oh my God! What have I done?” I murmured to myself.

I opened the door and almost tripped because I wasn’t expecting what I saw. Lo and behold, Jason was lying down at the entrance of our room, with no pillow or blanket. Guilt washed over me, making me feel even worse.

I bent down and started tapping him gently. “Jason,” I whispered.

He stirred and finally said, “Yes?”

“You can come in now.”

“You’ve forgiven me? I’m sorry,” he said, sitting up.

“It’s okay, I’ve forgiven you. Just come back to bed.”

“I didn’t mean it that way,” he said, his voice full of regret.

“It’s okay,” I repeated, helping him up.

We got back to bed, and I pushed my back to his front, feeling the warmth of his body. “I just wanted to make sure that you’re safe,” he said as he started rubbing my back.

“You can make sure that I’m safe. You can do whatever you need to do, just make sure you let me know about it. And I’m sorry too,” I replied, my voice soft.

“It’s okay,” he said, his voice filled with relief.

He slowly pulled down my trousers and panties before pulling down his, then gently pushed his cock inside me, his front to my back. The familiar sensation brought a sense of comfort and connection.

“I told you to stop wearing panties,” he murmured into my ear, a hint of a smile in his voice.

I chuckled softly, feeling a mix of emotions as we moved together. “I’ll keep that in mind,” I said, closing my eyes and letting the warmth of the moment wash over us.

“I love you, Lexi.”

“I love you too,” I whispered.
