The Billionaire’s Maid Bride

Chapter 573

Chapter 573

Miguel said, “So, Allison’s got Kenneth on her side, huh? No wonder she’s got such great gigs. Word

on the street is she’s nailed a role in Wade’s next film. But Kenneth?” He promptly turned to butter up

Hudson, “In comparison to you, he’s not even worth the dirt under your fingernails.”

Brooklyn sauntered in a sexy way, “Mr. Sears.”

She was a mid-tier actress at Epic Entertainment. Although she often played supporting roles or leads

in cheap web series, her salary was nothing to scoff at. With a few endorsements and live-streaming

gigs, she was living the good life.

Brooklyn made herself comfortable on Hudson’s laps. “Oh, Mr. Sears, missing me? Is that why you

asked me to come over so late?”

“My sweet thing.” Hudson quickly flipped, pinning the woman beneath him.

Taking the hint, Miguel quietly closed the office door behind him as he left.

“When I messaged you, I told you to find Patty. Where is she?” Exclusive © material by Nô(/v)elDrama.Org.

“Patty… I couldn’t reach her. I tried calling her twice, but no answer.”

They had just parked the car.

Allison and Emma walked up the stairs. Exiting the elevator, Emma’s phone rang. It was Patty.

Emma glanced at the caller ID and Allison signaled for her to answer. Patty’s voice came through,

“Emma, I saw you called. Is everything alright?”

“Oh, it’s nothing. It’s been handled,” Emma replied.

“That’s good,” Patty said. “I was in the shower and left my phone outside. I didn’t hear it ring. Glad it’s

resolved.”

After hanging up, Emma turned to Allison. “I think Patty just lied.”

They were already back home.

Allison opened the fridge, grabbed a bottle of water, and took a few sips. The cool water geemed to

relax her a bit. She looked at Emma, “How do you know she lied?”

Emma was just speculating. “Well, when I went downstairs earlier, I stopped by the restroom, and

Paige was there too. I was in the stall and overheard Paige on the phone with her, saying she saw you

enter Mr. Sears’ office.”

Paige was Patty’s spy, which was something Allison had always been aware of. But Paige was also

Allison’s assistant and treated her quite well overall. She was efficient and got things done promptly.

So, Allison was good to Paige too, turning a blind eye to the constant tattling to Patty. Paige never

betrayed her outright before.

Patty knew about Allison’s visit to Mr. Sears’ office yet intentionally ignored Emma’s calls. If Emma

hadn’t been clever, using a smoke device to confuse Hudson, Allison would surely have been at his

mercy by now.

Patty, oh Patty. She was cunning, but it backfired.

There are no secrets that time does not reveal.

Allison understood Patty’s game. Patty pretended to be supportive on the surface because she was

afraid of the formidable Lucian backing Allison. However, she also wanted to keep Allison under her

thumb, to control her completely.

The first slip-up had been early on. Allison had a few encounters with Charlie, which Paige reported to

Patty. Patty had casually mentioned it several times. The implication was clear: she didn’t want Allison

to get too cozy with Charlie.

Allison hadn’t thought much of it then, but now, it was clear. Patty was not entirely trustworthy.
