The Beta’s Regret 235
Chapter 235
(Eden’s Pov)
BEFORE EROS BLACKED OUT
From the second the whistle blew and the brothers took their stance, I knew that Ryker would be a difficult opponent.
The sound of the whistle had barely settled the noise from the crowd when Ryker pounced on Eros and gave him a blow to the face.
It was startling. I placed a hand over my lips in shock as I watched.
I saw him move away from Ryker as he worked on his jaw.
It took everything in me not to stand up and run back to him so could comfort him.
Soon, the fight was back on again.
This time, Eros dodged Ryker’s blows and I smiled. At first I wondered why he wouldn’t attack, then I watched the way his eyes studied the movement Ryker made, and I understood that Eros was just assessing his opponent.
I wasn’t scared. If anything, I was more worried about Eros getting hurt than him losing this fight.
There was no doubt that Eros would be king. This was something the moon goddess had revealed to me in the other realm… Imean, the moon goddess couldn’t have possibly gone through the bother of showing me Eros as the cold hybrid king, and him failing, for him not to be king at all in the real world.
Just then, I saw him pause and I frowned.
He staggered slightly, as he placed a hand on his head, almost as if he was drunk. His breathing deepened.
What was going on?
I knew the others hadn’t noticed that something was wrong with Eros, but I did.
There was a sudden aura that was beginning to surround him. I shivered. Something was up.
My mind suddenly flashed to an image of Eros losing control in my head. My eyes immediately swept through the crowd.
These many people.
It would be disastrous if Eros lost his temper and did something he was not supposed to do.
I prayed with all my heart that the Beast would be able to control his fury, and there would be no impulsive actions. The visions I had about him had a disastrous end that I never liked.
When Lord Shevek confessed that he placed a curse on Eros. I had a feeling that it must be the reason for the vision she showed me of the other world. The moon goddess must have tried to tell me what might become of Eros if the curse took
over.
Just like what I saw the day Eros attacked Lord Shevek in the coven.
There was something evil and sinister about him that day. But somehow none of us ever spoke about it. I couldn’t. Not when it reminded me that for a few minutes, I had lost the man I loved
It was horrific to watch.

Chapter 235
I thought about how Lord Shevek had said that Lamia was a major key to solving the curse. Lamia and the chosen one.
I sighed. I wasn’t exactly sure what that meant or how Lamia could help and worse of all, who was the chosen one?
67%
If pain was the reason Lord Shevek and Kaliyah created the curse, maybe by love from me and Lamia would be able reverse it- after all, we are offspring of the people who established the curse.
My eyes widened. Of course. What if that was a solution we missed in the first place? What if love was the solution all along? What if this was exactly what the moon goddess wanted me to know when she took me to the other realm and revealed Lamia to me there too?
I wasn’t sure if that theory made sense, but I was willing to do anything for my mate.
Suddenly, in the distance, my eyes caught a flash of white. I frowned and focused more on it.
What I saw next threw me back with a shocked gasp.
Little Lamia?
Dressed in a white gown, she had a slight glow around her. Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
She stood if the middle of the crowd, very noticeable. I looked at the people around her and realized that no one else from the Coven was with her. Not Lord Shevek or my mother. None of them.
Then what was she doing here? Or was this just a part of my imagination? Maybe because I thought about her a few seconds ago,
I saw Lamia shake her head in a small nod as if she was giving me an approval to approach her, that I could really see her.
I made a move in her direction, hoping to see my parents with her.
However, before I could take another step, someone just stood in my path and blocked Lamia from my line of sight.
Olivia.
I frowned at the overly smiley face of my sister. What was she doing here?
“Hey sister!” She said with a smirk.
“Why are you here?” I asked after a decisive pause.
Olivia eyed my full length, and my skin crawled with every movement her eyes made.
There was something very unusual about her. Of course I knew she now sided with Alpha Griffin; however, her presence unsettled me. Something I never felt before now.
I felt Tiara voice her discomfort in my head.
“Stay away from her.” Tiara warned.
I frowned. This was the Olivia I knew all my life. There was no way she would try to harm me.
“Aren’t you happy to see me?” Olivia asked with raised brows.
I rolled my eyes. “Maybe. You haven’t exactly been the best sister, have you?”
Olivia shrugged and picked at her nails. “Well, I’m here now, and I would like us to talk.”
1 frowned. “Right now?”

Olivia narrowed her gaze on me. “Yes. Or you could just ignore me as always, and then whatever I do next will be your fault.” She scoffed.
I shivered at Olivia’s cruel smile. I thought about Lamia and then Eros.
I sighed and gave her a short nod. “Give me a moment.”
I stepped away from Olivia and looked in the direction I saw Lamia. She was no longer there. I looked around the whole
arena.
Nothing. She was no where to be seen.
Maybe I was right after all; it could have just been an imagination. Why would little Lamia be here alone in the first place? She would’ve been brought by a member of the vampire coven she grew up in…
I looked back at where Eros was still on his knees in the arena. Will he be okay?
“What are you doing?” Olivia said from behind me. I looked back at her.
I shrugged. “I was looking for someone.” I said.
“Who?” She asked.
“Just someone,” I said.
“Why?”
I became irritated with Olivia’s annoying questions.
“I need her to get to Mom. I can’t reach her or Lord Shevek.” I said.
Olivia beamed a bright smile. “Perfect. That is exactly why I’m here. I know where they are.”
I went still.
“You do?” I asked.
Olivia started walking away as she called after me. “Yeah. Follow me.”
I hesitated a little before I went after her, a feeling of apprehension suddenly gripping me…
