Tangled Temptations

Eloise was all flushed from his flirtatious gestures.

She gently stroked his handsome face and whispered, "You'll be late if you don't leave now."

Harvey just stared at her.

Though he was no longer a naive young lad, he couldn't help but say things that made her blush whenever they were together. It was beyond his understanding.

Eloise was totally clueless when it came to affairs of the heart, and Harvey enjoyed moulding her into his ideal woman. It was a satisfying feeling for a man.

Harvey was a considerate guy. He allowed Marianna to leave early after breakfast.

But Marianna didn't want to go.

"Attorney, you hired me to work. I haven't finished my duties today, so how can I just take your pay and leave?"noveldrama

Harvey slowly finished his coffee.

After a while, he said, "Alright, I'll have Denise pay you for three months' worth of salary. You can take a break at home for these three months. We'll see what happens after that."

It would depend on how strong his interest in Eloise was. If things were still the same after three months, Marianna might have to take an extended leave.

His calm demeanor as he spoke these words made Marianna feel awkward!

Attorney made quite a commotion this morning, and she heard some of it. Marianna was a conservative person. She had never imagined men making such noises during that sort of thing.

Marianna didn't dare to think about it anymore.

She was grateful and happy to be able to take a few months' pay and go home to see her family.

Marianna quickly packed up and left.

Before leaving, she whispered, "Attorney, please take good care of Ms. Laurent. She's a nice girl."

Harvey, putting down the newspaper he was reading, smiled and said, "I will." Eloise, worn out from the night's activities, didn't wake up until noon.

After eating a bit, Denise and a bunch of people came over. Stylists, makeup artists, and a few luxury store employees. They came carrying several large boxes, which scared Eloise.

Denise, a seasoned employee, could see through people. Although her boss was only cohabiting with Eloise at the moment, she could tell that he had deep feelings for her. Maybe one day he'd make her his official girlfriend?

So, Denise took a particular interest in Eloise's affairs.

She instructed the luxury store employees to bring out all the dresses. There were about 30 pieces, all in Eloise's size.

Denise smiled and said, "Attorney's idea is for you to pick out five pieces you like from both the ready-to-wear and haute couture styles for future occasions."

She lowered her voice and said, "You'll be accompanying Attorney to a lot of social events in the future. These are just the basics. The jewellery you'll need to wear will also gradually be provided."

Eloise was a woman, and what woman didn't love a pretty dress?

However, when she moved in, she never thought about attending social events with Harvey. She thought she was only needed to fulfil his physical needs.

Denise hinted, "Attorney has a wide network of connections. You shouldn't waste such resources."

Addressing her as Eloise, she said, "As a woman, you can't be naive. The resources you hold in your hands are what's most important."

Eloise didn't quite understand, but she knew Denise meant well.

She thanked Denise softly and focused on choosing her dresses.

She accidentally saw the price tags and was amazed at how expensive the dresses were, and most of them could only be worn once.

Eloise didn't want to embarrass Harvey in front of others, so she calmly picked out a few dresses suitable for her. The total cost came to several hundred thousand dollars.

What a significant expenditure! He really splurged on her!
