Chapter 311
In the darkness, Harvey was perched up, watching her from above. Eloise wanted
to move, but he quickly grasped her hand, interlocking their fingers.
The atmosphere was intimate, perfect for a couple's interaction.
Harvey was thinking the same. He burrowed into her neck, his Adam's apple bobbing slightly as he murmured, "Eloise, I have something to say to you."
Eloise hummed in response. Her voice held a hint of fearfulness.
Harvey rolled over, spooning her, allowing her to rest against his chest. They'd been through so much; he knew he could easily have her heart and body if he just kept things from her.
But he was scared, scared to lose.
With a hoarse voice, he confessed to her, "I ran into Monika earlier."
Monika...
Eloise frowned.
Harvey gently stroked her brow. His deep voice was laced with soothing tones. "She's pregnant. I arranged for her to go to Rossland. I know it will upset you, but I want to give her a chance. Is that okay with you, Eloise?"
He updated her on Livio's situation. Eloise curled up against him and remained silent for a long time. Harvey thought she was reluctant and was about to say something when Eloise softly replied, "Okay."
He hadn't expected her to be so agreeable.
Eloise laid flat, speaking softly, "If she wants to keep the baby, it shows she loves the child the most...why can't I accept that?"
Harvey looked at her calm demeanor and couldn't help but feel moved, to make love with her. Ever since he pretended to regain his memory, he dared not touch her, fearing she would feel disgusted.
Now that everything was out in the open, he couldn't resist his old habits. He gently pressed against her, sharing a kiss.
She was very obedient, wrapping her arms around his neck, and engaged in a passionate embrace. Harvey felt like he was on fire, and felt if he didn't act now, he would explode.
As things were heating up, Eloise suddenly murmured, "Harvey, you haven't regained your memory, have you?"
Everything came to a screeching halt. Harvey stared at her, incredulous.
How did Eloise know? He'd been pretending quite well these past few days. Eloise gathered her nightgown, turned up a bedside lamp, and stretched her leg to kick him playfully. "If you had regained your memory, you probably would've gotten rid of Monika, too."
Who would be kind enough to settle Monika down?
Eloise then opened the bedside drawer, pulling out a notebook. Inside were pages full of red checkmarks and notes, resembling the replica of the Horigan Mansion. "Harvey, you're so shameless."
Harvey felt a bit embarrassed. He just lay in the bed motionless. Things had progressed so far, only to be exposed by his wife. Moreover, he couldn't decipher Eloise's true intentions.
Eloise's cheeks were flushed, and she tried to keep her voice steady. "I agree with what you did about Monika, but I'll arrange the doctor for her delivery."
Of course, Eloise wouldn't show up in person because Monika still bothered her.
Harvey laid flat, reaching out to touch her foot, kissing it gently. "Everything will be according to your wishes, Madam."
Eloise rubbed her foot against his handsome face.
Harvey captured it, threatening in a low voice, "Eloise, that's enough. Are you
trying to completely dominate me?"
She rubbed her foot against him again.
Harvey lost all his temper. "Even my wife's foot smells sweet."
Night fell.
Their sensual moment didn't continue. It was the best time to talk. Eloise rested on his shoulder, whispering, "I wasn't planning
telling you this, but since you onne
being so honest tonight... Harvey, can we promise not to hide anything from each other from now on? Whether we remember or forget, as long as we're together and still in love, does anything else matter? In the future, we'll have even more memories."
Harvey lightly traced her lips. He lowered his head, his voice husky and sensual. "But I still want to ask one question."
"Hmm?"
Harvey fully embraced her, his voice raspy and seductive. "How did I...make you orgasm in the past?"
That night, they talked late into the night. Eventually, Eloise didn't even know when she fell asleep.
In the early morning, when she woke up, there was a fresh rose beside her pillow, still wet with dew.
Eloise smiled. She gently picked it up and took a sniff.
Downstairs, there was a faint noise and the aroma of food. Harvey must have been making breakfast.
Eloise got up, picking up the notebook. She had realized long ago that he hadn't regained his memory. But she couldn't resist Harvey, and Linda and Darrien needed a father.
Her phone rang, and Eloise recognized it. It was Monika's. She calmly answered, "He told you everything?"
Monika hummed in response. After a long silence, Monika finally said in a low voice, "Mrs. Horigan, I really did have feelings for Attorney Horigan. But a man like him wisnoveldrama
never belong to me. Thank you for being willing to help me."
Eloise couldn't completely let go of her feelings, but if Monika was determined to leave a mark on Harvey's life, she hoped it would be a positive one. Finally, she said softly,
"There will be someone to take care of things."
Monika covered the microphone, seemingly crying.
Eloise paused for a moment. "I'm not as generous as you think. But if my generosity can give you a chance to start over, then I'm willing to be generous."
After saying that, Eloise hung up.
Eloise thought that she had changed from before, and she now had more control. She wondered if Harvey would dislike this.
Eloise lowered her gaze, smiling softly.
What do you think?
