Tangled Temptations

Chapter 257

Two days later, the kids came to visit Linda. Eloise was the hostess. All the while, Harvey was there, nonchalantly working on some documents on the sofa in the ward.

Linda was over the moon. Her dad was dashing and her mom was gorgeous. The envious glances of her friends made Linda feel victorious.

Each child brought a gift when they left. Luca brought a lollipop, half of which she planned to share with her dad.

...

Once the room quieted down, Linda fell asleep, and Eloise whispered, "Harvey, you've been off today."

Harvey responded with a light smile, "What's off about me?"

Eloise leaned on his shoulder, asking softly, "The kids' visit, you arranged it, didn't you?"

Harvey looked at her intensely. After a while, he said quietly, "Yes, I arranged it. Didn't you see how happy Linda was? She's in pain, isn't it good to make her happy?"

Eloise had no comeback.

Harvey smiled, not telling her that he had already met Luca's father.

In the future, in elementary school, middle and high school, and college, Luca would always be in the same class as Linda because he was AB-negative.

They chatted a bit more, inevitably mentioning Joan. Harvey paused. He took a sip of water and calmly said, "Last night, I had dinner with the prosecutor. He said Joan's crimes was committed while sober, and combined with several horrendous incidents, they were enough for the death penalty."

Eloise remained silent.

Joan deserved this.

Since Harvey had been busy these days, she gave him a gentle massage. After a while, he caught her wrist and said softly, "It's been a while, finally getting some tenderness from you."

Eloise smiled. Her smile was serene and beautiful.

Harvey, who had been tense for several days, finally relaxed, and was somewhat tempted at this moment. He leaned in to kiss her, his lips pressing against hers deeply.

Eloise slightly resisted. After all, they were in a hospital, with people coming and going. She whispered, "Harvey, stop it, people will see us."

Harvey's entire body was ablaze with desire. His current state was as if he had passed the stress period, and now that he was relaxing, he was in great need of release.

Sex was the best way.

He locked the door of the room, then held Eloise by her slim waist and guided her into a small room. He was kissing her while walking, looking rather wolfish.

Eloise stumbled onto the edge of the bed.

The bed was small. With Linda sleeping outside, they had to sneak around and keep their voices down.

Eloise bit her lip in endurance, while Harvey lay against her neck, whispering hoarsely, "Call me Harvey. Eloise, I want to hear you call me that."

Eloise was very obedient, her eyes filled with infatuation. She was finally defeated

by him, biting his neck and whispering his name, "Harvey... Harvey..."noveldrama

...

When it was all over, Eloise lay in his arms, whispering, "Did you just..."

Harvey propped his head on his arm and looked down at her, lightly scratching her cheek, "If you're pregnant, we could give Linda a little brother or sister."

Eloise didn't say a word. Her slender fingers traced lightly over his body. After a while, he caught her hand, his voice hoarse, "What's in your mind? Tell me."

Just as Eloise was about to speak, there was a knock on the door.

...

Eloise blushed a little.

Harvey gave her a peck, got out of bed and dressed, "It must be Orlena. I'll handle her."

He was efficient, showing no signs of fatigue. Eloise couldn't help but won where did he get all this energy?

Harvey guessed what she was thinking. He reached out and pinched her chin, "Mrs. Horigan, you've been starving me for too long."

Eloise didn't dare to ask any more questions. When Harvey left, he thoughtfully closed the door for her.

He opened the door to the ward room to find Orlena, holding a thermos.

"Mom made this soup." As she said this, she peeked inside and whispered, "Is Linda asleep?"

Harvey nodded.

Orlena came in, bent down to kiss Linda's face, then gazed at her for a long time. The genes of the Noland family were too strong. Linda looked a lot like Eloise, but also like that man. She was in a daze.

Harvey leaned back on the couch, looking a little lazy, since he had just had sex. He flipped through some documents casually and said, "If you really like him, marry him. He's much older than you, wait till he kicks the bucket, then you can take his money and find someone young and handsome."

Orlena was silent. She knew in her heart that her brother was still angry with her. Harvey had promised not to interfere in her affairs, but he still couldn't help himself, "Learn from Eloise, and cut ties when necessary. If there's no future with Brett, why don't you meet the man mom set you up with?"

Orlena was a bit scared of him. She only dared to shrug it off in a whisper, "I need to work, I'm busy."

Harvey scoffed, "Those third-rate magazines?"

Orlena had no comeback. She looked around for Eloisa, who would have definitely taken her side.

Harvey laughed, "She is resting inside."

Resting?

Orlena looked straight ahead.

Harvey's handsome face burned slightly, and he pretended to be nonchalant, "She's just a bit tired."

Orlena, being experienced in such matters, immediately understood and her cheeks turned slightly red. She quickly stood up and said, "Well... I should go."

Harvey spoke in a casual tone, "Drive carefully on your way back." Orlena's eyes welled up, she nodded and left. When she left, Harvey watched the door, lost in thought. Actually, he could see that Orlena was deeply hurt. She had loved Brett and been spoiled by him. It wasn't easy for her to move on, and it certainly wasn't easy for her to develop feelings for someone else so quickly.

But if she didn't try, she would always be stuck here. Brett would always be a thorn in her heart.

Harvey was somewhat annoyed.

Outside, Orlena held the doorframe, her eyes cast downward. No one had mentioned Brett to her these past few days, fearing it would cause her pain. Only her brother would.

Her brother said that she and Brett had a child. They had to meet eventually. She had two options - to love him, or to forget him. She hadn't managed to do either of those things.

Closing her eyes gently, she took a deep breath, preparing to leave the hospital and head home. But when she looked up, she froze.

Brett was standing right in front of her. Wearing a crisp white shirt, black trousers, draped in a navy-blue trench coat, he looked like a true gentleman. But only she knew how ruthless and wild he could be behind closed doors, especially in bed, as if he turned into a completely different person.
