Tangled Temptations

Max was decisive and ruthless. In just two days, all of the Laurent family's assets were frozen, including their two properties and the stocks under Eloise's father's name. He was certain that Eloise wouldn't last long!

The court ordered an asset freeze, and Michelle was so furious that she had to be hospitalized. Once she recovered, she rushed to protest at Max's company. However, Max was no longer the man he used to be, so despite Michelle's long protest, she never saw him and almost got hauled away by the police.

It took Eloise a long time to calm Michelle down and return her to the hospital.

Lying in the hospital bed, Michelle was full of worries. "It doesn't matter if we're homeless, but your dad still needs a lot of money to handle the situation. Although Attorney Bowen is an old friend, we should still pay him."

Eloise quietly reassured her, "Okay, I'll figure out the money thing."

Feeling guilty, Eloise asked Veronica to help her find two part-time jobs.

Seeing her difficulty, Veronica found her a job and even lent her savings to Eloise.

Eloise cherished the favor. After work, she worked part-time at a restaurant. Although it was tiring, she could earn $50 an hour. Because she was pretty and played the piano well, she attracted many customers, and the restaurant manager was very happy to have her work there.

Harvey and Eloise met again at this restaurant.

Harvey was not dining alone; he was with a very attractive woman. They seemed like work partners, but with a hint of ambiguity.

Eloise wasn't surprised. A fine man like Harvey wouldn't lack female companionship.

She knew her place. She and Harvey were from two different worlds, and even if they were face to face, she chose not to disturb him. Only when they accidentally met in the bathroom, she nodded slightly. "Attorney Horigan."

Harvey, smoking in the smoking area, frowned when he saw Eloise. In a short time, this woman had lost a lot of weight. Her jaw was sharp, and although it looked good, she seemed weak.

Harvey knew that the training center Eloise worked at was high-end and didn't allow teachers to take other jobs outside.
