Chapter 865
The bedroom was quiet, filled only with the soft morning light streaming in through the curtains.
Yvette was awake but feeling utterly drained. As she shifted slightly, her body protested her back ached, and her legs felt like jelly.
"Baby, are you awake?" Wilson's smooth voice interrupted her thoughts. He strode into the room, his long legs closing the distance in a few quick steps. Without hesitation, he scooped her into his arms, his hands slipping under her pajama top.
Yvette's reflexes kicked in, and she grabbed his wrist, her cheeks flushing. Remembering the events of the previous night, she shot him a half-hearted glare. "Stop... Let's not do it in the day."noveldrama
Wilson chuckled, his deep voice laced with mischief. His dark eyes sparkled with amusement. "Relax, Yvie. I'm just helping with your sore back." He smirked, tilting his head slightly as he challenged, "What did you think I was about to do?"
Realizing she'd jumped to conclusions, Yvette's ears burned red. She buried her face in his chest to escape his teasing gaze, mumbling something incoherent.
"Do you really think I'm that bad?" he asked, though his tone suggested he didn't mind the implication. His fingers kneaded her lower back gently, his touch firm but soothing.
Despite her earlier protests, Yvette melted under his touch. The soreness gradually faded, replaced by a comforting warmth. Wilson pressed a soft kiss to her forehead, his voice low and affectionate. "Next time, I'll take it easier."
Her eyes snapped up, and she shot him a half-hearted glare, her lips pressing into a pout. She thought, "He has the nerve to plan for a next time already?"
Wilson wasn't just thinking about a next time. In fact, he was already planning the details, right down to the positions.
Whatever crossed his mind made Wilson's gaze darken abruptly, his black eyes narrowing with a thoughtful glint.
He was trying to figure out how to convince Yvette to have sex with him in the bathroom.
Yvette quickly changed the subject, her voice soft. "I'm hungry."
"Let's get you fed," Wilson replied, scooping her up and carrying her to the bathroom. With infinite patience, he helped her freshen up, his attention never wavering.
Ten minutes later, Yvette descended the stairs, wrapped in a high-neck sweater that concealed her completely. Her movements were slow and deliberate, as though each step required careful thought.
"Morning, Yvie!" Ellen called out as she entered the living room.
Her brothers immediately gathered around her, their enthusiasm tempered by concern the moment they saw her. They wondered if Yvette was doing okay as she looked utterly exhausted.
Adam's brow furrowed. "Your eyes are red. Did you not sleep well?"
Yvette didn't know how to respond.
lan noticed Yvette's red eyes too. "Yeah! You've been crying, haven't you?"
Yvette said, "No! I didn't." Her voice was defensive, her cheeks flushing pink. She bit her bottom lip, immediately regretting her intense reaction. It was far too telling.
Wilson's soft chuckle broke the
tension. Standing a step behind her, he arched a brow, his smile laced he arched a
with amusement. "Did she just say she didn't cry? I can still hear her
voice from the night before, pleading softly for mercy."
Yvette shot him a glare, but her brothers' curiosity had already been piqued. They exchanged puzzled looks, clearly sensing there was more to the story.
Wilson, ever the smooth talker, intervened at the perfect moment. "Let's get some breakfast first," he suggested, his voice calm and unassuming.
His voice cut in at the right moment, effortlessly stepping in to save Yvette from her predicament.
"Right, breakfast!" Ashton said, his focus shifting. "We were so busy chatting that we almost forgot."
The group led Yvette to the dining room, where the staff had already laid out a spread of warm, hearty dishes. As she sat down, Yvette breathed a quiet sigh of relief.
