Talented Heiress: A Rose With Thorns

Chapter 832

The glass shattered on the floor with a sharp crash, water splashing everywhere.

"Grandma, what are you doing?" Wilson stepped in protectively, his expression growing colder.

Martha used to be extremely fond of Yvette, so how could she suddenly treat her like this?

Jasper couldn't take it anymore and voiced his own confusion. "Yes, Grandma, how could you treat Yvette this way? She was the one who performed your surgery yesterday. If it weren't for her, you would've been in real danger!"

But to everyone's surprise, Martha became even more irritable. "Fine, I see that all of you are siding with her! Get out! I don't want to see any of you!"

"Mrs. Quinn Senior, you've just started feeling better; you shouldn't get so worked up!" Victoria walked in just at the right moment, her face still adorned with a sweet and innocent smile.

"Oh, Victoria, you're finally here!"

At the sight of Victoria, Martha's attitude shifted completely, turning warm and gentle.

"Seeing you makes me feel so much better!" Martha beamed.

Though a glint of pride shone in Victoria's eyes, she spoke with concern. "Mrs. Quinn Senior, you have to promise me not to get upset so easily. It's not good for your health!"

"Alright, alright, I'll listen to you!" Martha absolutely doted on Victoria, agreeing to everything she said. "As long as you're here with me, I'll do whatever you say!"

Wilson's expression grew colder at the sight. He cast a sharp gaze around the room and asked, "Who brought her here?"

Under his intense stare, Jasper shrank back, speaking up in a small voice, "It was me! But, Wilson, as soon as Grandma woke up, she kept asking to see her. I really had no other choice!"

Wilson's tone turned icy. "We'll talk about this later."

"Come on, Wilson... don't be like that..." Jasper's complaints were cut short when Victoria walked over.

"Wilson, I've already managed to calm Mrs. Quinn Senior down."

After saying this, Victoria bit her lip, putting on a conflicted expression.

"It's just that Mrs. Quinn Senior doesn't seem too keen on seeing Yvie right now. Maybe let her step out for a bit? Otherwise, if Mrs. Quinn Senior gets upset again, it won't be good for her health."

Her words appeared to express concern for Martha's health, but there was a subtle satisfaction beneath them.

"Alright, I'll step out." Yvette raised her eyebrows slightly and agreed without hesitation.

Victoria was clearly taken aback by how easily she agreed, momentarily stunned.

Right now she was Martha's

favorite not Yvette! Wasn't this little

bitch supposed to be jealous? So

why didn't she see the slightest hint of jealousy in Yvette's expression?

It didn't make sense at all!

As Yvette turned and left the room, Wilson didn't hesitate to follow her.

"Wilson..." Victoria tried to call him back, but Wilson didn't look back, treating her as if she didn't even exist.

It truly infuriated her that she nearly ground her teeth to dust.

The moment Yvette walked out of the hospital room, a strong hand caught her

wrist, and a voice full of regret sounded beside her.

"Yvie, I'm sorry you had to go through that."

Yvette shook her head, lifting her beautiful fox-like eyes to look at Wilson as she said earnestly, "Don't you think Grandma is behaving strangely?" noveldrama
