"Who's your mom hitting?"

Henry: "Hitting baby,"

Hearing this, Mia shot up, pointing at her son with mock indignation. "Hey! Henry, what are you talking about? When have I ever hit you? Just because your uncle's here, doesn't mean you can make up stories."

Henry quickly nestled into his uncle's arms, playing the part of the pitiful little guy perfectly.

Mia gritted her teeth and pointed at her son, who was proving to be quite the little troublemaker!

Not long after, Andre, their peacemaker, came home. "Henry, go hang out with your mom."

Cooper, holding Henry close, said, "Nah, Mrs. Cedillo's temper is something else. What if she takes it out on my little dude for revenge?"

Andre gave his wife a knowing wink, "Head upstairs and hit the books, you've got exams next month."

He turned to his brother-in-law, "And you, stop stressing your sister out. She's juggling exam prep, planning Henry's birthday party, and studying. She's up before the crack of dawn, even earlier than me, to study outside. Don't mess with her groove."

Mrs. Cedillo, perched behind the stairs, was stealthily eavesdropping.

Andre noticed Mia's sneaky antics and couldn't help but smile affectionately, choosing not to call her out. "Let's get some fresh air. I'll show you just how mischievous Henry can be at home."

The doting dad picked up his son and called for his brother-in-law to join them outside.

This time, Mia's attempts to eavesdrop were thwarted.

She pouted, mirroring Henry's adorable pout, "Go upstairs and study."

Once outside, Andre set his son down, "Go on, run around and have fun."

"Brother-in-law, it's freezing out here, and my nephew's bundled up so much he can barely move," Cooper said.

Andre replied, "I just want you to see how much trouble he can stir up."

The two settled on a bench, taking in the view. Andre began, "Your sister filled me in. I wanted to have a chat with you, man-to-man, and hopefully reach an understanding."

Cooper sighed, "I'm just upset about being kept in the dark."

Andre chuckled, "Ever heard of the Dark Web?"

Cooper frowned at his brother-in-law. Seeing his reaction, Andre laughed, "Looks like you have."

"Brother-in-law, why bring this up?" Cooper asked seriously. "That's some sketchy

stuff."

Andre said, "It's because they were behind the kidnapping of your sister and Henry."

Cooper was stunned, "What...?"

Andre continued, "It's my fault. They're the two people I love most, so they were targeted."

"The story starts with the Walker family overseas. You probably haven't heard of them. Their company went under recently due to pressure from our international division. They planned to kidnap Henry, and to uncover the real mastermind, my team hacked into the Dark Web."

Cooper was blown away, "Brother-in-law, your team hacked into the Dark Web?!"

Andre grinned, "Seems like Cooper's been mingling with more than just students abroad, knowing about this."

Cooper turned his face away, making an excuse, "Just heard some rumors, a lot of people over there are talking about it."

Andre continued, "Then, the Dark Web set their sights on me. They planted someone to infiltrate my circle, keeping tabs on everyone around me, and even tried to plant a spy. I found out it was Greg. That's what led to the recent upheaval at the Cedillo Group..."
