"Mr. Kon was spot on, Andre wouldn't just stick with six bodyguards for his family," the leader remarked. "Too bad, no matter how many of you there are, even if you've surrounded us, none of you would dare make a rash move!"

Everyone thought Andre really had only assigned six men to guard his son, leaving Mia without protection.

But when hidden assassins suddenly swarmed, taking the Cedillo family driver hostage, seizing the vehicle, and taking out the four men close to Henry, a dozen armed people emerged from the shadows. Seeing things take a turn for the worse, a Dark Web assassin pointed a gun at the little one's forehead, "Try moving closer, I dare you."

Nobody moved an inch.

The car doors shut, with several people inside holding Henry hostage, while Andre's personal guards faced off outside.

Until Mia showed up again.

Mia shook off Jamie's hand, "Let's go."

Immediately, the Cedillo family's van doors opened, revealing a tearful little one inside, "Mommy!"

A man holding Henry pressed the gun to the toddler's forehead. Henry, with his fearless attitude and temper, tried to knock it away, "Daddy, shoot!"

Furious, the man slapped Henry across the face, making the child cry so hard he couldn't even make a sound, "Wah, mommy, mommy!" Mia clenched her fists, her eyes blazing with intense anger and deep hatred.

When Henry squirmed again, Mia shouted, "Henry! Look at mommy."

She was truly terrified, fearing the trigger might be pulled.

Mia walked toward the encirclement.

"If you've got a grudge against Andre, you've been holding out for me. Everyone knows I'm the woman Andre loves the most. Take me and let my son go."

Instantly, a gun was pressed to Mia's head, "You guessed right, we were waiting for you. But your son? We're not letting him go either. We want Andre to feel double the pain!"

Mia unclenched her fists, moving toward the car, her heart breaking upon seeing

her beloved's swollen face.
