Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 1197

In the end, they became the top targets for the Eldoria police on the Dark Web, while Andre and Conner kicked back, unaffected. The others lost not just their resources but made enemies and ended up with nothing to show for it!

Kon angrily slammed his hand on the table, "Andre, Conner, you're asking for trouble."

Meanwhile, in an underground hideout, the air was heavy with the scent of blood.

Conner, wrinkling his nose in distaste, turned away and made a call, "Hey, it's done."

Whatever was said on the other end made him chuckle sarcastically, "You're way too nice." He realized his sister's 'kindness' had definitely rubbed off on him.

Once the bloody business was done, Conner headed out that afternoon. He went to a hotel to clean up, grabbed his car keys, and drove off to meet Annie for a date.

As soon as Annie clocked out, she dashed over, grabbing Conner by the collar, "Conner, level with me. Was it your guys who saved those three cops today?"

Conner played innocent, "Who told you they were mine?"

"They said their brother-in-law's a cop, and their brother wants to do good. Care to deny it?" Annie clenched her fist, ready to knock some sense into him, "It was you. No one else could pull this off. Plus, I know your style." It was part of their unspoken agreement.

Conner held Annie's hand, "Yeah, it was me. I was gonna brag a little, but now you know it all."

"There are so few female officers at the station, a quick chat in the group, and how could I not find out? Talking about doing good, we joked about this before." Annie was taken aback when she saw the group chat. If it wasn't Conner's doing, she might have quit her job to settle down with him.

Conner grinned, "Annie, you really get me. Hove you too. You're swamped at work, so don't stress about our wedding photos. I booked ten sets. If that's not enough... Ow, Annie, stop hitting me." noveldrama

Annie's fists flew, "Ten sets! Why not go all out and book a hundred, take them till we're old and gray."

When they were together, Conner was always finding ways to get close to Annie, wrapping her in his arms, brushing her cheek, sneaking in a kiss when she least expected it, taking every chance to steal@ moment with her—even hoping to keep her with him overnight!

Officer Chapman had a thought, "I miss sweetie."

Conner's eyes widened, his voice deepening, "Are you out of your mind?"

Annie nodded, "I really miss him. Go fetch him for me, and I'll come see you after work."

Conner was a bit nervous but couldn't say no to Annie, "If you don't bring him next time, I'm not meeting you."

So, the head of the Nettleton family found himself once again with his adorable godson, whose boundless energy was exhausting.

Instead of enjoying the comforts of a fancy hotel, he indulged in their whims. After that, he had to hold his godson's hand, running and playing around the corridors, hiding and rolling about.

Finally, as day turned to night, Annie dropped a bombshell, "I'm on night shift tonight, so I won't be coming over. You take sweetie out for dinner."

The head of the Nettleton family realized what was up, "Annie, are you messing with me?" She had cleverly used their godson to drain all his energy so he couldn't be a bother, then bailed on him. Now stuck with a little shadow, he couldn't go anywhere, let alone deal with things from afar.

That night, Conner looked at the lively Henry, "Kiddo, life's all about planning. Give your godfather a heads-up, will you? Let me brace myself for when we can finally chill."
