Chapter 6

Chapter 6

"Why are you following me? It's annoying." I clicked my tongue to emphasise the point. Jungkook remains unfazed at my words, silently walking beside me with his hands tucked neatly in the pockets of his fancy jacket. Occasionally, he would whistle, glance at me secretly, all the while kicking some rocks along to my side to gain my attention.

I would realize how much our attires differed. While I adorned my cool ass bohemian sweatpants going grocery shopping with my mom's slippers, he's the exact opposite. Jungkook wore expensive clothes, and his shoes looked brand new, even. I just cringed whenever he stepped onto the dirty surface, the soles of his new shoes must be filthy now.

Pairs of eyes were fixed onto us. I must look like some lame mom bringing her kid to the supermarket.

"Can I taste your cooking later?" Jungkook's face popped up right in front of me, causing me to stop in alarm. He was leaning down, his face inches apart from mine. My eyes darted to the lollipop he was sucking , his lips dyed red and glossy.

He had taken off his jacket, and it was hung over his shoulders. I absolutely, 100% did not notice the flexed biceps under his white shirt as he stretched his arm.

"And why do you think you have the privilege to taste my food?" I retorted, hiding my flusteredness under my pokerface. Jungkook's reddish lips curved up into a smirk, and he stands upright, eyes still locked intently on mine. He wastes no time intertwining his hands into mine, dragging me along the path.

"Let go, you Jungfuck" I struggled under his grasp, but he held on firmly. Eventually I gave up and followed him obediently, his slight chuckles sending a few more butterflies into my stomach.

"I haven't eaten homecooked food in a while," Jungkook shoots me a pleading look. "Please feed me?"

"Ugh, okay okay. But promise to never bother me after this!" I agreed reluctantly, storming off with the grocery basket in my hands. Jungkook walked eagerly behind me, all the while with a wide grin.

"I'll help you" he offers, leaning from behind my back and reaching towards my hand. My heart stopped temporarily as he back hugged me, our bodies pressed together for an agonizing second before he takes away the basket of ingredients.

"What are you making?" the corners of his lips turned up when he observes the blush on my cheeks.

"....pasta." I replied quietly, turning away to avoid his staring. Shit, this is harder than I thought.

"Is anybody at home?" He asks, bending down to take off his sneakers. I kicked off the slippers in a unsightly motion, one of them sent flying to the end of the entrance. Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

"It's just you and me." I placed the grocery bags on the coffee table. Jungkook's eyes lit up at my words, and he seemed to be in a very good mood.

"Isn't this like a.....date?" Jungkook approaches me who was standing behind the kitchen counter. He leans forward, elbows propped on the counter and facing me. "Like a date at home, cooking together....those sort of things."

"Juanfuck, the people involved have to like each other, and I don't like you. So no, this is not a date." I answered nonchantly, starting the fire stove. Jungkook remains amused at my comebacks.

"Would you stop staring?" I glared at him, a knife held up in my hand. He was taken aback for a moment, but the playful expression returns again.

"You look good in an apron. It's not my fault" he scans me from top to bottom.

"Do me a favour and go play around the house or something, alright? Or else I'll cook a plate of shit for you" I threatened him. Jungkook frowns, but obediently listens. My eyes followed his figure as he disappears out of the kitchen, and the relief calms me.

I didn't want to admit, but this boy has his way with me. Somewhat or another, he is strangely convincing, and he makes me feel emotions I've never dealt with before. My mind is now occupied with thoughts of Jungkook, while stirring the curry in the pot. He's not a bad guy....I think.

And then it hit me. It was LAUNDRY DAY.

"FUCK!" I whispered-screamed to myself in horror, turning off the stove and ripping my apron off. My legs took me as fast as I could and I barged into my bedroom, only to find Jungkook standing there, his back facing me.

And scattered on top of my bed, were all my polkadot underwear.
