Chapter 704 Happy Birthday

However, somebody walked into Sophia's office and it happened to be one of the assistants. What the

assistant saw made her blush and she ran out of the office as quickly as possible.

Meanwhile, Drake was finally willing to let go of Sophia, who also blushed and said, "What are you

doing? I shouldn't let you in at the very beginning!"

Drake signed and teased, "Oh god, what should I do? My wife would miss me so badly if I hadn't come.

But now I'm here, she wishes me to disappear." Saying that, he shook his head, pretending to be quite

disappointed.

After that, they continued to unwrap the presents until both of them felt tired. Then, Drake received a

call and left. Though there would be a big party tonight, Sophia was filled with happiness at the

moment.

Soon, it was time to call it a day. Getting out of the elevator, Sophia was going to start the car when she

ran into someone who said joyfully, "Happy birthday, Sophia!"

Sophia exclaimed out of surprise, "Bard! Is it you?"

Bard said, "Yes, I'm here for my dear sister's birthday. I'll never miss your birthday and I'll come no

matter how busy I am."

Sophia hugged him excitedly, "Bard, thank you. I love you!"

"Here, this is my present for you."

Sophia took it. Though she knew Bard's gift would never be a big surprise, she liked it anyway.

Before Sophia could get into the car, Edwin suddenly jumped out. "Sophia, not just Bard has come. I'm

here too! Happy birthday!" He then walked forward and held Sophia into his arms tightly while Sophia

was nearly crying.

"My god, you guys are so annoying. Why do you show up one by one like this? I am so overjoyed that I

nearly burst into tears!"

"See? I said Sophia wouldn't like this kind of surprise." Charles walked out from behind, which quite

ruined Edwin's plan, so he shouted, "Charles! I told you to wait! Why do you come out like that?"

"Haven't you heard what Sophia said? She is going to cry." Charles didn't care about Edwin's plan at

all.

"Gosh. You ruined the big surprise anyway!"

Ignoring Edwin's discontent, Charles walked to Sophia and gave her his present. "Sophia, happy NôvelDrama.Org exclusive content.

birthday."

Sophia took his gift and hugged him happily. "Thanks, Charles."

Just like Bard, Charles wasn't the kind of person who keen of surprise. His gift was always the models

he designed. Though Sophia had received a lot of models, she still expected Charles's gifts.

As to Edwin, he complained fiercely, "You guys are not cooperative at all. I've prepared a little speech

but now it doesn't seem necessary." He then looked at Sophia and said with a bright smile, "Sophia,

here, your birthday present."

However, Sophia was quite hesitant for she was afraid that Edwin would give her sex toys as he always

did.

Edwin explained anxiously, "Ah, you're married now. It's fine!"

Sophia finally received it. "OK, give you one more chance."

"That's my girl!"

Bard approached them curiously and asked: "Edwin, what's your gift? Why being so mysterious?"

"Go away! This is none of your business! Don't you know you should respect your elder brother?"

retorted Edwin.

Bard said contemptuously, "Oh, I don't think you're qualified to lecture me. How did you treat Charles

just now?"

To stop Bard and Edwin from quarreling, Sophia took their hands hastily, just like she did in their

childhood. "Come on, Bard, Charles. Drake and others are waiting for us. Let's go!"

However, Travis approached, cleared his throat, and said, "Sophia, don't tell me you forget your big

brother."

Sophia stared at him, astonishment written on her face. "What? Travis? You also come?"

Travis asked unbelievably, "Why can't I?"

"I thought you need to take care of Helena." Sophia simply thought Travis should spend more time

looking after Helena rather than come to her birthday party which she didn't take so seriously.

"I have to come or Helena will be mad at me forever." Travis couldn't help but feel jealous of the

friendship between Helena and Sophia. Sometimes he even worried that Helena loved Sophia more

than him.

Sophia's words proved that Travis's worry wasn't entirely groundless. She looked behind Travis and

asked anxiously, "What about Helena? Doesn't she come with you?"

Travis answered jealously, "This is our family tradition, so only I have come. Helena went to her mom."

But Sophia's next movement brought the smile back to Travis' face. She took the present in his hands

and said sweetly, "Thank you for your present, Travis. I love it!"

Since all her brothers were here, Sophia asked: "Now can we head for the party?"

"Mommy, you forget me!" Bonnie walked out. She dressed up specially for her mother's birthday,

looking like a little princess from a magic castle.

"Oh! My baby girl!" Sophia knelt down, holding out her arms.

Bonnie ran into her mother's arms and kissed on her mother's face. "Happy birthday, mommy!"

Sophia kissed her daughter back. "Thank you, my little princess. Mommy is so happy today!"

"I drew this, mommy, as your present." Bonnie showed Sophia her panting which impressed Sophia.

Bonnie seemed to get the talent from her dad, drawing a good picture only at the age of two.

"Thank you, honey! I love you!" Sophia kissed hard on her daughter's face. Then, holding her

daughter's hand, she led her family to the car. On their way, all of them chatted cheerfully. When they

arrived at the hotel, Sophia was asked to wear an eye mask. Though she didn't understand why a

birthday party should be so secretive, she did as she was told, and Bonnie and her four brothers

guided her to the right place.

Not until she opened the door was she permitted to take off the eye mask. What she saw impressed

her greatly. It must be one of the biggest banquet halls in Sealand, which can house nearly 5000

people, and it was decorated like places in fairy tales. Not even her wedding ceremony could compare

to this.

Bonnie, who didn't take part in the decoration, also felt quite excited. She clapped her hands and

shouted happily, "Wow! This place is so beautiful!"

Looking around, Sophia saw so many familiar faces: the old Mrs. Lawson, Abbott, Laura, Emma,

Baron, and so many others. In fact, nearly every family member and friend of Sophia had attended.

Drake walked forward to Sophia, bringing Laura at the same time. "Today is Sophia's birthday but I

must say, the greatest person here is my mother-in-law. It's you who gave birth to Sophia and taught

her well so that I got the chance to meet her and spend my life with her."

Laura grabbed Emma to Sophia and said, "Drake, don't say that. Emma is the one who taught Sophia

so well. All these years, your mother spent more time with Sophia than me and she has been taking

good care of Sophia. So, I am not the only person you should thank."
