When I stepped into the throne room, the first thing I saw was the back of a she-wolf with long, dark hair.
She turned around and when she saw me, she smiled and ran to hug me. Her gesture was warm, but what I felt inside was far from warm, so I did not hug her back.
It was her aura. I did not like it. I could not help but feel not safe around her. I quickly cautioned myself from judging someone else without getting to know her.
"Elaina." She caressed my cheeks and it took a lot from me not to slap her hand away from my face. "I know you don't remember me, but I miss you so much. I'm feeling bad though. I took care of you until you went missing. I'm grateful for the chance to see you again though."
"Enough," Alpha Atlas said out from where he was seated. I looked up and noticed that Emma was sitting on the throne on his right hand and I could not help but smile. The strange she-wolf who claimed to be my aunt moved away from me and I heaved a silent sigh of relief, grateful that Alpha Atlas had intervened, because I had almost lashed out at her.
"There's no proof whatsoever that you are her aunt. From what I have noticed; Elaina does not recognize you." Alpha Atlas looked at me. "Or, do you?"
I shook my head in response. "No, I do not. She doesn't seem familiar one bit."
I recalled the first time I stepped into this mansion. I felt familiar with even Alpha Atlas. It was strange. What was more strange was that Alpha Atlas, a stranger at the time, looked more familiar than someone who claimed to be an aunt that took care of me. Something was definitely wrong.
"If that is the case, I'm sorry, but you have to leave," Atlas said to my aunt'.
"Leave?" She sounded a little pissed. "I can't leave my niece." Then, she turned to me. "I can tell the location of all your birthmarks." She drew closer and touched my shoulder. She touched the exact position my five spots birthmark was. "You have five spots here. It's a birthmark."
*
I froze. I was certain that I was the only one who knew about that birthmark. Not even my roommates knew about that birthmark. I hid my body well from others.
"I can tell you more about yourself if you give me the chance to. Her eyes met mine and I could not help but feel weird. "Then, tell me," I replied. "The birthmark was a good one, but I need more."
"The flashes of memories," She replied. "Most of the memories you are seeing are actually not yours. Some actually are, but some are not. And, your father who is late now has experienced the same thing you're now experiencing. He too, suffered from anemia and some things triggered him. When that happens, he can be about to get run over by a bus and be unable to do anything. I wonder if that has happened to you yet."
I took a deep breath. Processing all that she had said now was a whole lot. She had just described what I was going through at the moment. I looked at her face in scrutiny. She might be my aunt and might not be my aunt, but one thing was sure, this she-wolf knew who I was. She knew my origin and this could be dangerous or it could be a blessing. I had to keep her close if I wanted to find out what this was.
"Everything she said about me is true," I said to Atlas.
He cocked an eyebrow. "So, she is your Aunt."
"I have never told anybody about my birthmark or my memories, but she knows it. She is telling the truth."Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.

She might be lying. Infact, the chances of her lying were high because the energy that oozed from her did not just sit well with me, but the last thing I wanted to do was to let her know that I was onto her, so I had to pick the words I used whenever I was around her carefully.
"So, you don't mind if she stays around."
"I don't," I replied and she hugged me again.
I feigned a smile and hugged her bag. I pulled away from her almost immediately. "What is your name, though?" I asked. "What can I call you?" "Zara," She replied. "You can call me Zara."
I saw Emma whisper something to the Alpha and from the look on her face, I could tell that she was not comfortable around this aunt of mine too.
"Very well then, Zara, you can stay here," Atlas said. "But, be warned. Even if Elaina has accepted you, eyes are still on you."
Accepted was the wrong word to use. I was not stupid, so no, I have not accepted anybody. Especially if the person in question is a she-wolf with an off aura who knows that I could get myself killed whenever I experience something that made me have the flashes I call memories.
The door of the throne room swung open and Two she-wolves and a wolf walked in.
I needed nobody to tell me that the younger she-wolf is the two she-wolves and the wolf were parents of Atlas. He was a gorgeous mix of the both of them.
That meant that the great Alpha Leo and Luna Rita just walked in. Unexpectedly, I felt the warmth I should have felt toward Zara when I saw them.
She smiled at me and I smiled back. This time, my smile reached my eye
I felt the same familiar feeling I felt when I first saw Atlas when I saw them, especially toward the older she-wolf.
It
was
a
sincere smile.
"Mom, Dad, Aunt Freya, you all are here." Atlas got up from his throne and walked up to them. Emma joined him.
Aunt Freya. It was my first time hearing that name, so why did it feel like I have heard it a
million times.
The older she-wolf, who I figured was Aunt Freya, walked up to me. She still had a smile on her face. "I know who you are," She said.
