Morris kept his cool: "Kristina, as Nathalie's ex-mother-in-law, made life hell for

her. She even pushed her son to cheat, leaving Nathalie shattered. So, I thought, why not give her a taste of her own medicine by introducing her husband to a mistress? But when she couldn't handle her husband cheating, she ended up jumping into the river."

He paused before continuing, "Dawson International, with all its wealth and clout, threw its weight around during Cameron and Nathalie's divorce, refusing to give her a fair share of the marital assets, leaving her high and dry. People like that don't deserve the title of a great entrepreneur. So, I started a new venture, Maple Company, and snatched away projects from Dawson International, which really hit them where it hurts. Their downfall? That was all me."

Morris flashed a wicked grin: "Mick, you love picking on the easy targets. You can't handle the real deal-me-so you go after my innocent Nathalie. Haven't the Dawson family done enough to her? Mick turned pale: "Morris, I'm going to make you pay for this."

Morris was unfazed: "You think you can?"

"When you pick on the weak, did you ever realize that to me, you're the weak one?"

Mick sneered: "Don't think you're all that."

Turning away, Mick addressed Jules: "Mr. Jules, you heard him. This guy's nothing but a villain. He's cold-hearted and ruthless. Vincent Corporation can't keep someone like him on board."

Jackson backed Mick up: "Big brother, Mick's got a point. This guy's arrogant, disrespectful, and you won't be able to handle him."

Jules watched Morris steadily.

"Nathan, you wanted this job yourself. But on day one, you've stirred up a storm, unsettling everyone at Vincent Corporation. You're putting me in a tough spot."

Jules left his sentence hanging, hoping Morris would take the hint and quit, letting both sides save face.

Morris adjusted his clothes, looking calm and collected, unlike Mick's frazzled state, like some serene sage unbothered by life's ups and downs.

"Jules, you're getting on in years. You're too easily influenced. Before you know it, you'll be sold out."

Jules was caught between amusement and frustration.
