Reborn From Oblivion

Chapter 939

Cameron couldn't help but beam with joy.

"Nell, once you get your memory back, you'll see that we weren't supposed to end up like this."

"Hmph." Nathalie let out a dismissive snort.

By the time they rolled back into Manhattan, it was already four in the morning.

Nathalie turned to Dominick, "Find a hotel for these two to crash at. I'm heading home."

With that, she hopped out of the car. Cameron watched her walk away through the window, lost in thought.

She cared so much about that person. If she ever discovered he used dark magic to swap their lives, what would she do?

When Nathalie got home, Morris's room was pitch black.

She stood at the door and knocked, but there was no answer for ages.

Heart heavy, Nathalie pushed the door open. The room was empty, no sign of Morris.

She made her way to the bed, tears falling freely.

"Why didn't you wait for me?"

"Nathan, why did you apologize?"

She slumped onto the bed, feeling defeated.

The next morning, soft sunlight peeked through the curtains, spilling into the room.

Nathalie slowly opened her eyes, feeling groggy and confused, as if a tall, elegant man was standing right there.

He was tall, with a lean and strong build. She squinted at him, puzzled, but couldn't make out his face.

She heard his voice, "Nathalie, don't fall for him."

"Please, don't fall for him. I've liked you for ages. I can't lose you."

"I climbed to the top, did whatever it took to become the prince. But you don't want me. What good is all this wealth and power?"

"Nathalie, you'd better be happy.

Happy enough to make all my sacrifices worth it. If you're even

è unhappy, I'll lose it." Cel

"Don't push me to that edge."

Nathalie snapped awake, eyes wide with fear, "Who are you?"

"Don't you recognize me,

sis?"

"Nathan? No, you're not Nathan; your legs are fine. No scars on your hands."

"Who are you really?"

She rushed over, but the figure turned into light and disappeared.

She tapped her head, "Was it all just a dream?"

As she gathered her thoughts, Nathalie glanced at the clock and started worrying about Morris.

Would the folks at Vincent Corporation look down on Nathan because of his disability?

Over at Vincent Corporation, Morris was cruising down the hallway in his wheelchair, sunglasses on, radiating a chill authority. He caught the eyes of many employees.

"Who's that?"

"Even with shades, he looks pretty impressive."

"Don't you know? He's the genius hacker who brought down the big four families. Did some time, too."

"What? How did someone with that past get hired here?"

"Beats me."

Just then, the external CEO, Mick, and Jackson, along with their entourage, approached.

They stopped in front of Morris, and Jackson sneered, "Morris, you actually showed up."

Morris straightened up, casually resting his hands on the wheelchair's arms, looking at Jackson with a smug grin.
