Reborn From Oblivion

Chapter 905

Morris never really got it before. He once asked her, "Does Grandma really think Mom's happiness is worth more than the McCoy family's reputation?"

Frankie shot back, "A person's pride is as crucial as a tree's bark. She brought shame on us, dragging the McCoy name through the mud, and our business took a serious hit. Why should I pay for her wrongs? I regret having such a troublesome daughter. If I hadn't been so hung up on blood ties and had focused on raising your cousin instead, the McCoy family wouldn't be in this mess."

When Mom jumped, she must have been utterly fed up with this world.

Morris let out a silent sigh.

He wondered if Mrs. Stewart, the matriarch of the Stewart family, was as stubborn and hard to deal with as his own grandma.

Still, Morris hadn't made up his mind about getting involved with her yet.

Life has a funny way of working out; Morris eventually found himself at the Sharp family's estate.

This time, all he had to do was sit back in the car with his eyes shut, letting Lizzy handle the introductions.

Lizzy walked right up to the gatekeeper and said, "My boss wants to see Greta. Could you let her know we're here?"

The gatekeeper answered, "Sure, I can tell her, but Ms. Nellie is a valued guest. It's up to her if she wants to meet you."

Lizzy nodded, understanding the situation.

In the Sharp family's courtyard, Mrs. Vincent was having a lively chat with her daughters-in-law and Greta.

When the gatekeeper came to announce the visitors, the matriarch was in a great mood. She waved her hand with enthusiasm, "If Greta's friends are here, invite them in to join the fun."

Greta beamed, "Mrs. Vincent, it might be my foster sister. She's got a sharp tongue, but she's great otherwise."

Mrs. Vincent replied, "Having a sister like you who cares so much is truly her luck."

The gatekeeper only mentioned a pretty girl had arrived, leading Greta to think it was Nathalie.noveldrama

She was secretly planning to

embarrass Nathalie in front of MES. Vincent, hoping to ruin the Sharp family's impression of her and cut off any business ties between Nathalie's company and the Sharps.

In the long run, Nathalie wouldn't stand a chance against the Sharp family and would eventually go under.

To Greta's surprise, it was Morris who showed up, being pushed by Lizzy.

"What are you doing here?"

Lizzy replied with a smug grin, "Who else did you think it was?"

Morris, meanwhile, locked eyes with Mrs. Vincent, and she couldn't look away either.

Even with his sunglasses on, Morris's features-the thin, striking lips, the straight, elegant nose, and the firm, smooth jawline-sparked a sense of familiarity in Mrs. Vincent, who's seen her fair share of faces.

"Young man, could you take off your glasses so I can see you better?" Mrs. Vincent asked.

Morris answered gently, "Sorry,

maa have an eye but

and

d the glasses to conditione

shield my

eyes from the light."

Hearing this, Mrs. Vincent trembled slightly, and a hint of sympathy crossed her

eyes.

Morris turned his gaze back to Greta.

"Ms. Nellie, you must know why I'm here, right?”

He stepped forward, making Greta back away like she was facing a wild beast,

even hiding behind Mrs. Vincent.
