Reborn From Oblivion

Chapter 902

Nathalie quickly hit accept. But as she scrolled through the profile, her heart dropped. Of course, it was Greta.

"Greta, what kind of trouble are you stirring up now?" Nathalie snapped, her voice sharp with irritation.

Greta slipped back into her usual two-faced act. "Oh, don't get mad, sis. I'm not here to cause any drama. I just need a favor."

Nathalie cut her off coldly, "There's nothing between us anymore. I'm not doing anything for you."

With that, she was ready to block Greta for good. But before she could, a new message popped up, and she accidentally opened it. Greta was scheming, "How about a trade? You tell me where Cameron is, and I'll let you in on Morris's secret."

Nathalie paused, her finger hovering over the block button, but she held back.

"What could Nathan possibly be hiding? He's always been an open book. Besides, I know everything there is to know about him."

"You'd be surprised by how much you don't know."

Nathalie was floored. Her mind wandered back to three years ago...

Back then, Greta had stumbled upon Nathan's big secret-that he was actually a robot-and used it to blackmail him. But Nathan, being all proud and self-reliant, wouldn't stand for it. So, he got ahead of the curve and had Greta shipped off to a mental hospital.

At the time, Nathalie was baffled. She'd been around Nathan constantly and hadn't picked up on anything. How did Greta know? Now it seemed like Greta had more tricks up her sleeve than Nathalie realized.

But how did Greta, compared to Nathalie who had gotten a second shot at life, know even more? It didn't add up.

Greta, growing restless with Nathalie's silence, pushed on, "So, are we doing this or not? You won't lose out, Nathalie."

Nathalie stayed quiet for a moment. She was tempted to make the deal, but ever since she brought Cameron to financial ruin three years back, she hadn't cared about his whereabouts. Where he ended up? She had no clue.

"Okay, spill Nathan's secret first," Nathalie tried to coax Greta, hoping to snag a secret or two.

Greta chuckled, mocking her. "Playing the corporate queen for so long, you've picked up some tricks. Nathalie, if I spill Morris's secret and you leave me hanging on Cameron, I'll be the one shortchanged."

Nathalie, ice-cold, shot back, "If you don't trust me, then forget it. We're done here."

"Wait... Nathalie, don't block me yet. Morris's secret-I promise you'll want to hear it."noveldrama

Nathalie was dying to know anything about Morris, yet she refused to let Greta manipulate her. "Whatever he's hiding, I'll ask him myself. No need to go through you."

"He won't tell you."

Nathalie was stunned. What could Morris possibly be hiding from her?

"Please, we've known each other since we were kids. I know him like the back of my hand."

Greta smirked, "Do you remember Almos?"

Nathalie froze.

Almos? Wasn't he the hypnotist she saw years ago?

Well-known globally, she'd turned to him in her youthful desperation, hoping he could wipe her painful memories clean. But after charging her a small fortune, he performed some ritual that didn't seem to do the trick.

Still, she played along, using Almos's session as a cover to pretend she'd forgotten about Cameron. Whether meron bought it, she wasn't sure, she'd convinced herself.

That charade let her slip free from Cameron's grip.
