Pleasuring the Maid

Chapter 35

Chapter 35

***Ray***

'What the fuck! ' Ava swore.

'Oh fuck! ' Bry swore too.

'Language kids! ' mum scolded.

'Let them be Ren, they have a right to swear. ' Dad interrupted.

'Oh please. ' Mum scoffed, rolling her eyes.

'First of all, don't roll your eyes mum, you look hideous and second, like dad said, I'm shocked so I'm

allowed to swear.

'So you're literally my uncle? ' Ava suddenly asked, her face void of any emotion.

The only thing telling was her puffy eyes from having cried earlier.

'Yes Ava. ' Dad confirmed.

'No wonder you've been treating her like your daughter. ' I finaly spoke.

'Makes sense now. ' Bry backed me up.

'I still don't understand, I've lived my life knowing that I had only one uncle and now...You know what?

I'm not even surprised. ' Ava spoke slowly, as if trying to understand what she was saying.

'Wait, is my dad really dead? ' Ava suddenly asked?

'Of all the questions you could have asked, you decided to ask that one? ' Way for Bry to be blunt as

always.

'I'll tell you a story honey but first we are going to grab something to eat. Then we will sit somewhere,

just the two of us. '

'Don't call her honey, that's my name for her. ' Mum chastised.

'Oh come on mum, quit it. She's his niece. ' I teased her.

'Thanks for telling me the shocking news. ' Mum laced her statement with sarcasm.

'Hun, Reynard will tell you everything you need to know about your dad.' Eve paused.

'I wish you wouldn't call him that though. ' She mumbled the last part, but judging from Ava's set of

eyes on her, she heard it loud and clear.

'Mum. ' Ava walked towards her mothers bed.

'I will never want anything to do with a man who separated us. Things would have been obviously

different in my life had you have been here. ' She placed her small hand on her mums equally small

one.

'But I have a right to know what kind of a person he was. It's only for closure, nothing more. ' She

paused again, swallowing saliva audibly.

'I want to mend my relationship with you, I want to spend time with you, get to know you more. Learn

gradually how to call you 'mum'. But for me to do that, I have to get to know first the kind of past you

have.

I have to know every single detail about what forced us to stay apart. Sadly the man who fathered me

is all apart of it. So relax, nothings going to change. '

Ava squeezed her mum shoulder carefully, a sign of assurance in what she had just said.

I admit that confession was heartfelt, should have been private if you ask me. After a few minutes, Ava

and my dad left, each one of them lost on their own thoughts.

*************

'We have been in this room for an hour now. What is taking them so long? You would think a story

takes only a few minutes. ' Bryson complained, pacing around like a caged animal.

'Shut up and sit down Bryson, I'm going to get sick watching you pace. ' Mum shot back.

'Oh come on mum, are you seriously not tired of waiting for them? Not to mention how hungry I fucking

am. ' Bry threw his hands up in exasparation.

'Quit complaining about petty things. I never raised you to be an impatient man acting like a 12 year old

kid. ' Mum spoke back again.

'Raised me? ' Bryson stopped pacing, pinning his glare onto mum.

'Are you kidding me? You never raised me or Ray for that matter. '

'Speak for yourself Bryson. ' I warned him.

'Please stop, it has not come to this. ' Mum begged.

'Stop? are you seriously asking me to stop? ' Bryson scoffed.

'You were not there when I needed you the most. You knew about what happened, you should have

come back. Instead you chose your bestfriends child over my own safety and sanity.'

'Bry now you are crossing boundaries here, don't bring Ava into this. ' Eve interjected.

'Shut up, fucking shut up. You are the cause of all this misery in my life. Had it not been for you

sleeping around with the Mafia, then your daughter wouldn't have been born. '

Eve recoiled in shame and shock. She closed her eyes, letting a lone tear flow at Bryson's words.

Mum kept her lips sealed, just listening to Bryson explode. She knew he needed this, after so much

time of pretense that everything was okay between them. She wanted him to take it all out on her, she

knew he would feel much better after that.

'Aren't you going to say a word? oh come on. ' Bry called to mum.

'Cowardice on you surely doesn't look cool. Say something, explain why you never spend time with us

and don't you use Ava as an excuse. Is it because we are your adopted sons? '

'Would you rather have had me refusing to help Ava and her mum? would you rather...'

'Stop it mum. I do not need you to ask me questions. ' He seethed.

'I need answers, and you are clearly not getting it. ' He spoke clearly and coldly.

His whole exterior and changed entirely, this was a man after the truth. Even though I hated how he

was going by the whole thing, I still understood what he was feeling.

I had my doubts too. No mother would abandon her children just to help her bestfriend's. Something

was lacking in this whole story, and I also needed to know what it was.

Bryson had a valid point and question. Mum and dad had failed to disclose something, I had no idea

what it was but just like Bryson I knew it was there.

Glancing at Eve briefly, I noticed she was deep in thoughts. Her face was ridden with guilt and her

unshed tears said it all.

I could have swore this whole scene playing before her bombarded her with regret and shame. As

much as I wanted to be mad at her, I knew she did what she thought was best for her daughter.

'Bry please come down.' Mum begged Bryson.

'How could you have been so naive mother? She was doing what she thought was best for her

daughter.' He pointed accusingly at Eve, who refused to meet his gaze.

'What about you? you chose to leave your family to save another. Not knowing you were breaking

yours in the process. '

' What are you saying Bry? ' I asked.

'Do not interrupt me again Ray. ' Bry warned.

He was very much angered by the past, he refused to calm down and act like a sane person.

'Did you love Ava more than Ray and I? Is that it mother? Did you just use the excuse of helping them

to get close to that maid? ' He seethed.

The word maid finally pushed mine and mums buttons.

'You are making silly accusations to satisfy your selfish curiosity. ' I cut him off, stepping closer to him.

He let out a deep throaty laugh shaking his head at me.

'Why are you upset at me for calling a spade a spade? ' He mockingly asked.

'She is a fucking maid, a stupid illiterate maid who never stepped her feet into a college class.' His

words drew a growl from me.

He was insulting the girl I loved and there's no way I would allow him to go any further.

My gaze on him hardened, my fists remained clenched in so much anger and shame. He was talking

about the girl who had been nothing but good to him. She understood him thinking he had totally

changed. At least she wasn't here to hear him spew all these bullshit.

'Bryson, that is totally inhumane. You cannot speak that way about Ava. ' Mum stepped in, her face

showing sadness rather than anger.

'Of course you'd both defend her and for what? ' He turned to look at me.

'Because she chose you first over me? Is it because she had sex with you first or the fact that she

loves more than she does me? ' He repeatedly questioned.

'Can you listen to yourself for once? you are being an inconsiderate prick for nothing. You're bringing

Ava into something that isn't even her fault. You are pushing all your frustrations to satis...' He didn't let

me finish my statement.

'Shut up Ray, I've had enough of you, mum and dad choosing her over me. ' He paused.

'And you mum, answer my question for once and for all. Why the fuck did you chose a fucking useless

spineless maid over us? '

Mum was all tears, sobbing silently as she absorbed Bryson's insults. She had never had his vile

mouth spill such insulting words. She thought he was a nice person, and now to hear him talk like this.

It broke her, I could see her resolve breaking. She was breaking down and soon, she would give him

the answer he wanted.

'Bryson you don't have to talk shit to get a point across. ' I angrily stated. Content from NôvelDr(a)ma.Org.

'Careful what you say, you might regret it later. ' I added.

'I will never regret seeing that girl for what she is. Just a clueless fuck for me and you. And of course a

stupid house maid. '

Just as he spoke the last words, the door opened and Ava stepped in. She looked straight at Bryson

just as a tear dropped.

He was totally fucked
